There are many applicable adjectives to describe the wonderful presentations by Leila and Laura. But if I had to choose one that's at the foundation of their success=happy viewers and satisfied Pen Boutique customers, I would say, natural/real. Right from the start Leila and I promised each other that we would always be genuine, honest, and true to ourselves. Thank you for another lovely episode. I am particularly intrigued by the Magna Carta Bumblebee, was it in Penelope's beak for much of the episode? The other Penelope pen was red, but I couldn't make it out -- was it Laura's M600 red tortoise shell?
I'm curious as to why you don't give the prices of the "new in store" pens. Maybe you think it will be distracting, but end up going to your pages to look, getting distracted from the show, and I know that you are selling pens, so I would not find it gauche to know the price. Just some food for thought, and I know that others may feel differently.

Hi David! I don't know how Leila feels about it, but, as for me, I feel like it's better not to mention the price of the pens because they change a lot (with sales, price increases, and sometimes even decreases!) and we don't know when a viewer will be watching the episode, so they might not be accurate anymore by the time someone watches, as it might be months or even years later. Did you know that we include direct links to a lot of the pens we mention in the show notes? We don't have room to list all of them, though. I didn't get to read your answers yet because we were so busy editing the show yesterday, but I brought your letter home with me last night so I can read it today after I finish working on my blog article! I'll bring it back to work for Leila to read on Friday. I can't wait!! It will be a fun reward when my work is done.

David, I forgot to reply to the first part of your comment! Yes, the Magna Carta was in Penelope's beak for most of the episode, and the other Penelope pen was my M600 red tortoiseshell! You nailed it!!

Congratulations on the Red Tortoiseshell Pelikan Laura!! I love mine. It pops so much. I recently tried Pilot Iroshizuku Momiji in it and wow!! haha
Thank you!! Maybe I will try it with Momiji, too! I did consider putting an Iroshizuku ink in it, but decided to start with the Edelstein Tanzanite.

In a probably futile attempt to clarify or even further confuse the issue of the mystery of "Is it blue or is it green?" may I add this: Among several tribal nations in what is now the US, the same word was used for entities we understand as blue and as green. If asked whether a cornflower were the same color as the grass, any speaker of that language would say no, of course not. But the name is the same. In Hebrew, the name of the color "red" overlaps the name of the color "brown", and they are from the same root as words for "blood" and "earth". So the Biblical text (Gen. 21.7) describing the creation of the first man, Adam, says he was made from the earth, adamo, though his kind was called aish, or man. Blood is called something that sounds much like adam, and the emergency services like our Red Cross are called Magen David Adam, or Red Star of David" , as the Israelis don't recognize a Christian cross as a symbol the way people of Christian-dominated cultures might. There are similar color divisions and overlaps in other languages, though I can't think of any more right now. Cool, huh?
