@@LaoTraveler got some big 1/2 lbs scallop, half lobster, one king crab leg, potato n garlic bread n habanero sauce that even spicy, just just add sweet.
I'm always willing to pay for good quality food and I think the prices were very fair. However, a big turn off for me is the waiting time between buying it raw, time for them to cook it, buying beverages, and if that wasn't bad enough, trying to find a place to eat. For the tourist experience, I would be willing to try it (just make sure I don't go there starving).
N its tasteless too. Wasted $200. Told the husband we'll go get soda later cus don't want to wait in line. We didn't even finish n did not pack..we went to redondo Beach peir it was way better.
Hello Paul. Thanks for watching and commenting on the video. It was our first visit to the place. We did enjoy the experience, and the Mariachi band as well. Cheers!
Back in 1990s they use to have the fishing boat right there and I seen them bring fish from the boat to the fish stores all the time and the reggae shop candy shops it’s was really a wonderful place the wedding chapels was at the end it was like the old New Orleans style
@@LaoTraveler Thanks for your video.. We (2) were thinking of going.. I may spring for the lobster, but it seems like more expensive. Regularly eating here would not be a good thing. I enjoyed eating cheaply in Thailand, however with the pandemic it has ruined our foodie trips for sure.
I agree, medical and dental in Thailand, then holiday in the Philippines if you can stand the filth. Best place to holiday is Japan, immaculately clean, incredibly well organised, full of beautiful places to visit, reasonably priced, good food, the only problem is Japanese people don't like outsiders, and their laws can land an unsuspecting tourist in deep trouble. And once your arrested for something the court will find you guilty even when they know full well your innocent, its all to do with saving face. The only benefit in the Philippines for English speaking westerners is that they mostly speak English.
I looked so forward to trying this place in LA a few years go. It totally was not worth it. The line, the wait, the prices, and the food, it's just not worth it at all. Their patio is always packed with people and loud music. Their oysters they charged me $3 each for and they completely were not edible. Hard pass for me, sorry.
Hi Roger. Thanks for commenting. You are right, it’s a bit pricey and we didn’t like the oysters either. We went on a weekday. The line wasn’t bad, but the wait was still long.
@@LaoTraveler LOL try it at lunchtime on a Sunday. The line for the seafood counter was out the door. We ordered on the other side of the place off their menu. Our entire meal was really, really bad.
I don’t know how you don’t like it. I work super hard during the week and bring my family to eat here on a nice Sunday afternoon the price does not matter why else do I work I’m local and this place is one of the best
If you work hard enough you’ll know money doesn’t matter when it involves a good meal for the family
Sorry nothing personal, just my honest opinion. I liked everything else except the oysters. They were not fresh. Has nothing to do with the money.
My hard earn money is not work the nasty food. Wasted $200.
@@nkaujhmoobvwj Hi there. Thanks for the comment. Yep, it’s a bit pricey. What did you get?

@@LaoTraveler redondo peir is better, got garlic shrimp n fried tilapia with rice.
Ues, yes it's worth it and I hope the new establishment has plenty of tables and chairs.
Looking forward to checking out the new place. Thanks for commenting. Cheers!

They charge very high prices for basically everything there.

Good honest review
Thanks for commenting. 👍🏼
I came here after watching Mark Wiens. Well tbh, thank you for your honest review.
Hi Karan. Thanks for watching. Glad to hear that you found the video helpful. Cheers!
Very good stuff I only have a problem with all the condiments other than that I go here almost every weekend 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Yes, what’s up with that. We were surprised that we had to pay for the hot sauce and lemon 🍋. Thanks for commenting.
Looks really good, prices seem fair as tour paying for an experience as well. Nicely done

I go on weekdays to avoid the huge crowd and wait times. I like the foods there.
Hi there. Thanks for commenting. We went there on a Thursday. The wait was still a bit long, but not too bad. It must be crazy on weekends!

Wow! the good old days. That sounds so nice, would have been much better than what it is now. Thank you for watching and commenting. Cheers!
It used to be the place back then, it’s so not worth it rn and the food wasn’t all that.
Hi there. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Cheers!
Yep. I don’t get all that. My plate is $16-20 and filling.
Lol 😂 thanks for watching and commenting 👍🏼. Cheers!
I guess if you stay away from the lobster and crab you can get your bill under $100
Yep. On a budget. Thanks Ed!

I guess they over charge for the Onions and corn you get more at boiling crab
Yep, lol 😆 👍🏼
Boiling crab put them out of business! They just using that lease as an excuse.
Everything in the U.S is over rated and expensive. I can't wait to travel to Asia again.
Yep, especially in California. What’s your favorite country in Asia? Thanks for watching Raul. Cheers!
