My big thing is still, “There’s no planet for the skrulls to go” meanwhile in Avengers Endgame we have Thanos on an empty planet that he’s living on and Captain Marvel saw it along with many of the Avengers. 🤔
4:05 He wasn't replaced before Endgame, especially since he was seen wearing leg braces in Infinity War and Endgame and Secret Invasion established that Skrulls revert back to their natural forms if they die or at least sustain enough energy.
it's almost like the mcu is getting closer to the quality of the original medium it borrows from (i.e., the comics) 😄 i would say up to 80% of comics are meh with that remaining 20% which are stellar. it's like night and day.
Take Sam Esmail’s Mr Robot and insert Secret Invasion characters into its writing, character development, cinematography, relentless wide-eyed intensity, and it could’ve been an amazingly detailed show about the slow invasion of a species through the eyes of each player.
I feel like marvel told the writers not to read the secret invasion comic book run to avoid having it be like secret wars. Staying true to the comic, this show needed avengers and super skrulls. Instead they gave G'iah all the powers and avoided characters fighting their look alike. Hopefully, Avengers secret wars will be true to the comics.
To Jaby's point about the strike, remember the last time there was a writer's strike? I say that for a good 2 years afterwards, there was a general dip in quality of output from Hollywood and TV. It took a couple years before things really started to recover.
There's also about a dozen or more planets in the Guardians movies that they could have went to. The answer to why they didn't think of that is because the writers are horrible and didn't do any research.
"The more I think about it, the less I like it". Well, that makes sense, because in the review of the first 2 episodes you were happy saying how cool was that Fury addressed the lack of Avengers in the show and, in the final product we all know how stupid the justification was lol. I think it's interesting how opinions can change when you get more context and stuff.
It's true, we HAVE found a planet that's almost identical to Earth, but it's (if I recall correctly) about 10,000 lightyears away, meaning that if we traveled at the speed of light, it would take us 10,000 years to get there.
I feel like the reason why Fury couldn’t find another planet probably has something to do with the Kree. May or may not be relevant to that peace treaty Fury talked about near the end of the last episode. There were a few hints sprinkled around that Talos was lying about what happened on Skrullos. But it could have all been explained in a better way instead of constantly kicking the can to the next movie / show.
I think Jaby said the right words "a lot of people was hoping for this to end the MCU" when phase for is actually a restart where the mayor point is just introduce new characters. The issue is that now people is always comparing this projects with the previous ones and realizing that before things has felt better to watch. Because nobody had anything to compare with and everything seemed to be escalating instead of getting more grounded. And the thing is that nobody has yet seen the sequel for anything from phase 4... Literally there's no project in phase 4 that show the repercussions of the show before that one. The only important thing in which this project connect with each other, is that the avengers are not longer. And that's apparently the thing that most of the people that is currently being over critical with marvel seems to forget. "Where is the avengers?/Why don't you call other heroes?" Same as people saying that Nick's characters are dumb, but during the entire MCU most of the people supported Captain America more than Ironman, even when Ironman stories was about him learning to fix things but Steve's was about taking really dumb decisions that leaded to unnecessary fights that in the end made a lot of people in the MCU hate the avengers, being Steve's decisions also the reason why they weren't together in 'Infinity war'... And people has been cheering over 'FFH' which was pure CGI,bad directed actors that in EACH scene were standing still like if they were unable to move from a very obvious X in the ground, cheese jokes and memes, recycling of characters, only one well done sequence but a script that literally didn't changed anything in the MCU. (But it worked because of nostalgia) Or 'MoM' that was pretty much the same. I've literally meet people that started watching the MCU from 'no way home' forward, and they're enjoying it so far. Because even without seeing the previous phases, this one actually exposes the context of the MCU... Also I've meet people that are loving this ones. So,are this new projects actually bad? Or the people has they're stomach bloated from eating too much, and now they're never fully satisfied?... Because yeah! It has been goofy things in this new projects, but is not like the previous ones hasn't had any. Let's remember as well that a lot of people doesn't watch this things until the blue ray comes out,and MANY more ends up watching this things in pirate platforms... There's also the fact that not every culture has the same taste. So I'm going to say what I always say, coming from a country full of intense people that develops fanaticism very quickly, either for sports, music, politics etc: In not a single point in history 'fanaticism' has ever meant something good nor provoked anything positive. Yup, Andor getting a shoutout for being the best Disney+ show to come out is a worthwhile take. It was spectacular. The difference in giving a show time to breathe and allowing the writing to really tell a fantastic story with the space it has to do it in was incredibly noticeable. A little more love and breathing room and care with the approach could have had so much potential for this project.

Now I appreciate Hawkeye - Moon Knight - Ms. Marvel - She-Hulk: Attorney at Law even more 👍 Loki and WandaVision, however, are in a class of their own 👏
Hit or miss? Shang Chi (the protagonist with no agency or charisma) and Black Widow (the solo movie released at least five years to late only to sideline Natasha in it) lost money, Multiverse of Madness killed all hype for Strange and Wanda, Love and Thunder (with goofy, moronic Thor and a wasted Gorr) and Wakanda Forever (which ruined Namor and gave us Shuri instead of recasting) barely made a profit and are goofy and forgettable respectively. Quantumania bombed and treated us to the SECOND embarrassing defeat of Kang. WandaVision, Loki, TFATWS and Secret Invasion tore down legacy characters as well. Nobody watched Ms. Marvel or She-Hulk. Moon Knight was a half-assed attempt at introducing a new character. Only No Way Home (a Sony production) and GotG 3 + Guardians Holiday Special worked and actually made money.
For all of Phases 4 & 5, Jaby has defended the MCU (which I appreciate). However, while saying it’s simply been “hit or miss”, he’s also seemed to like none of the shows and only Now Way Home and Shang Chi, (which could possibly be a bias). So if MCU naysayers are hyperbolic, (which I want to believe is true), Jaby can you say that you’ve enjoyed 10 of the 20 MCU projects since Phase 4 began? WandaVision to Secret Invasion? Black Widow - Guardians 3?
I’ll be honest, I actually really love the secret invasion show, unfortunately, it seems like I’m the only one on the planet, who actually liked it, that’s OK what else is new, I’m kind of used to it at this point.
i was liking it until the finale dropped, had hoped they'll be able to give a good sendoff to the story not make it into a giant mess of over CGI fights. It felt a complete different show in finale.
@@rehanrizwan6227 apparently the Mr Robot writer wrote all the episodes that were originally shot, edited & screened to Feige & other Marvel/Disney execs. Long story short Feige didn't like what the original writer did fire him which caused another series director to depart thus making Ali Selim the overall director of the series, then Feige hired a new series writer who had the thankless job of rewriting the entire series in just 3 months while also ordering Selim to lead the 4 month reshoot of the entire series to meet the release schedule. To put that in perspective the show was being rewritten as they were reshooting the show itself they made stuff as they went along, now this technique may work for movies Feige but TV shows need solid script from day 1. No wonder it's a boring, convoluted mess.
@@waleedsharif618I mean Sam Jackson is old now. However if this is a building block process and in The Marvels he’s gonna be better then I’d be fine with that
To back up Jaby's point on WandaVision... It started out SO SLOWLY. They wasted so much time setting up the mystery with three full episodes (I think) taking place inside TV shows before there's even a hint of a larger plot. And then it all boils down to typical Marvel same-punching-same (literally in Vision's case). And then the whole ending is basically wiped out by Dr Strange 2. Plus the whole Boner (or however they spelled it) felt like a slap in the face to online fans who had been speculating about who he was/what it would mean. Pitch Meeting covered that pretty well, I thought.
No he didn’t. Rhodey was still using his mechanical parts to walk after civil war. He may have been taken right after end game around the time of FATWS
everyone is a skrull now. they aren't satisfied with time variants being a safety net if an actor quits them or if they want to bring back someone. they also added skrulls in the mix for a super safety net. it's just nauseating at this point. there were no stakes anymore in their movies after the end game. everything is just world ending threat now and everyone is a skrull now. oversaturation is an understatement at this point. it really embodies syndrome's quote; when everyone's super.. no one will be.
rhodey went to 2 planets. most of the avengers never traveled in space. thor was pretty much the only well traveled avenger. hulk went to one other planet, that i remember. so no, there's really no way rhodey could have scoured the universe for an inhabitable planet for skrulls.
I liked the honest trailer, but I'm not sure y everyone's expectations on this were so high. To me this show was more up my ally than she-hulk, ms marvel and hawkeye and I still liked these shows. I learned from MoM and with Thor 4 the deal was sealed. Do not trust any breakdowns. You will set yourself expectations, even though, you probably never read the comics and unconsciously your opinion might sour. That's what happened to me. Now I think both movies were just on Thor 2 level. I guess I'm one of the few who will defend this show. So to the point "Nick Fury: We can't keep depending on these superheroes to swoop in and save our asses." This is basically Tony's mindset when he built Ultron. The Avengers might not always be around. What if they all died or vanished. And that kinda happened...after Tony passed, there were no longer the Avengers. Cap is around but in danger to be taken by the Skrulls. Banner same issue + we just had a show with hulks. All the others can't be reached bc he doesn't have their contact, they are MIA, off world or have more important things to do than outshine Fury with their presence (Strange gotta protec the Multiverse). After all this is a show about Fury. ps: A lot of the criticism or flaws are usually found in a lot of spy movies/tv shows: In MI3 the villain could have been dead in that toilet but you dont just waste Phillip Seymour Hoffmann. Same with Rhodey/Don Cheadle in the hospital. Rule nr. 1 for the enjoyment of the spy genre, don't poke it with logic because it is just fiction. When you get more realistic (less illogical), than you get "Tinker, Tailer, Soldier, Spy". The real Spy job is very boring after all.
Disney has so much source material to pull from and this is the quality we get since endgame? No Way Home is a Sony movie even if Disney promoted it. Of course people are upset and are saying that the MCU is dead. Disney just need to sell to Apple because it's clear they don't care anymore about its fans and employees!
No Way Home was actually one of the early warnings of the problem. The writing is just as relentlessly stupid as Secret Invasion, but it was smothered in Peter Parker Nostalgia porn so folks over looked it. I mean Wong is Sorcerer Supreme but *goes on vacation* just to get him out of the way so that Strange and Parker can get away with being complete idiots for 2 hours.
@@summertyme5748 I agree because Wong as Sorcerer Supreme over Dr Strange makes no sense in the first place in terms of power. Nostalgia is a powerful thing for people even when the writing is subpar.
After Kevin Feige ruined Moon Knight, She-hulk, Seret Invasion, Dictor Strange and Ant-man in less than two years, makes me wish they had stopped with Endgame or at least taken a few years off to formulate a plan......... Also, unpopular opinion, but I wasn't as big a fan of NWH, and would probably add it to the list as well
I am 100 percent in agreement with this and I *hated* NWH - which its pre school toddler plot where Dr. Strange mind-fk's the whole Universe just to help Parker lose his virginity - oh - I mean - get into a good college. lol.
It’s crazy how fast these hardcore mcu fan boys will flip on you. Okay I get it. I didn’t love the series overall either but I did like. The MCU has spoiled us to the max since 2008 until endgame with a great line of movies but you can’t eat cavior forever. Yeah, what Koay was saying about the triple AAA tentpole productions, if we are to look at history with 2008's writer's strike, and how a whole lot of lesser quality stuff came out, and how a lot of awesome shows dipped massively in quality right after the strike ended, yeah, marvels in for a shit show not all unlike the shitshow it's already going through

Loki and WandaVision are way overrated and have zero rewatch value.
One contrivance they chose not to pick is. The Skrulls blame Fury, but not Captain Marvel WHO has the most access to planets
mcu shows go for me like
. Hawkeye
. Loki
. Wandavision
and then the rest of them
6:13 - Ryan Reynolds with Hulk's arm in Free Guy looks way cooler.
4:00, endgame Rhodey wasn't a Skrull. 11:55, i like Loki, and i love WandaVision.
You need to see Ryan George Pitch Meeting on this.
I thought this was gonna be the Pitch Meeting reaction I was like that was fast.
How I met my maker lmao
For all of Phases 4 & 5, Jaby has defended the MCU (which I appreciate). However, while saying it’s simply been “hit or miss”, he’s also seemed to like none of the shows and only Now Way Home and Shang Chi, (which could possibly be a bias).
So if MCU naysayers are hyperbolic, (which I want to believe is true), Jaby can you say that you’ve enjoyed 10 of the 20 MCU projects since Phase 4 began? WandaVision to Secret Invasion? Black Widow - Guardians 3?
Please do the Pitch Meeting for this soon. It’s even better.
Yeah jaby it definitely hasn’t been hit & miss with marvel. Its been miss after miss
do ryans pitch meeting on that aswell
I’ll be honest, I actually really love the secret invasion show, unfortunately, it seems like I’m the only one on the planet, who actually liked it, that’s OK what else is new, I’m kind of used to it at this point.
I actually liked it also but only thing i did not like is Nick Fury being old
@@waleedsharif618 yeah that is an annoying trend they seem to keep going back to but it at least wasn’t as bad as Luke in The Last Jedi
i was liking it until the finale dropped, had hoped they'll be able to give a good sendoff to the story not make it into a giant mess of over CGI fights.
However if this is a building block process and in The Marvels he’s gonna be better then I’d be fine with that
We learn from other habitual planets in the Guardians of the galaxy has other planets... 3:45 hahaha
Rhodey got switched during his MRI in Civil War
No he didn’t. Rhodey was still using his mechanical parts to walk after civil war. He may have been taken right after end game around the time of FATWS
@@TheIcemanthomas he's in the gown he was in at the end of civil war when they recover him
everyone is a skrull now. they aren't satisfied with time variants being a safety net if an actor quits them or if they want to bring back someone. they also added skrulls in the mix for a super safety net. it's just nauseating at this point. there were no stakes anymore in their movies after the end game. everything is just world ending threat now and everyone is a skrull now. oversaturation is an understatement at this point. it really embodies syndrome's quote; when everyone's super.. no one will be.
Wasn't there a mid or post credit scene?
rhodey went to 2 planets. most of the avengers never traveled in space. thor was pretty much the only well traveled avenger. hulk went to one other planet, that i remember. so no, there's really no way rhodey could have scoured the universe for an inhabitable planet for skrulls.
4:24 did you just cut off a part of the trailer
i think all the people survive from snap or dissapered from snap is scruls😂
Where's the pitch meeting reaction
I know people don’t want to hear it, but this show confirmed that the MShe-U isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
Oh wow i didnt know ceni desi channel is doing that well 👍🏾
I almost subscribed to Disney for this series. Thank goodness 😅
Are Drax's tattoos part of his DNA?
It's weird that you completely ignored "how I met my maker". I think it's the awesomest part. :)
Strange mind-fk's the whole Universe just to help Parker lose his virginity - oh - I mean - get into a good college. lol.
Multiverse tangents... IMHO
It’s crazy how fast these hardcore mcu fan boys will flip on you. Okay I get it. I didn’t love the series overall either but I did like. The MCU has spoiled us to the max since 2008 until endgame with a great line of movies but you can’t eat cavior forever. So I still think despite the mcu tv not living up to the big screen version, they will bounce back fine
Maybe people just want quality and if you don't deliver they don't keep blowing sunshine up your skirt.
10:25 Who’s responsible for this. It’s the same writers, directors and people asking for more pay 😂 Jabby couldn’t make himself say it 😉
alone the planet where thanos was hiding out was habitable and noe one lived there
Yeah, what Koay was saying about the triple AAA tentpole productions, if we are to look at history with 2008's writer's strike, and how a whole lot of lesser quality stuff came out, and how a lot of awesome shows dipped massively in quality right after the strike ended, yeah, marvels in for a shit show not all unlike the shitshow it's already going through
Wait did people not like this show?
How about where Thanos was living after his snap.
Wow Van Gough and prisoner 0 in another series 😂
Secret invasion before high level expectation after high level disappointment falcon and winter soldier much more better
Only finished episode 2... Skipped Ms. Marvel and Falcon. This Honest Trailer seems on point.
I really don't see the disney shows being good or bad. They're just a small part of the huge picture
I don't understand the hate, I liked this series more than most marvel series.
What a waste of a show
