I also had an Akins Accelerator when it was spring assisted. I was forced to removed the spring as well, and later unpossess the stock in 2018. After the Cargill decision it would be nice to have my spring back. A firearm equip with a bump stock capable of firing multiple rounds by a single function of the trigger is NOT a machine gun because it doesn't happen automatically. The same could be said for a Ruger 1022 installed in a spring powered Akins Accelerator which functions automatically but NOT by a single function of the trigger. Nothing in the NFA says that a firearm is a machine gun if it automatically bump fires!
