Even though she sings in languages i do not understand, i still love her voice so much and have loved her singing since the 70s
If someone still wonders if there are angels, just watch this video. It is like hearing a voice from Heaven. She made Greece proud, all around the world. Thank you Nana for gifting us with your voice

The BBC had a history of wiping their video tapes at this time and reusing the tapes to record other programs , thousands of pre-recorded TV shows were lost because of this policy.
I’m thankful that this episode of Nana’s show still exists, but it wouldn’t be a surprise to find that her other shows were wiped. I hope they weren’t.

Just before Covid she came to Vancouver BC and yes, I did go to see her. She brought the house down of Richmond's
Casino, which has a beautiful theatre with great acoustics. I could not believe that I was watching an 83 year old Lady.
She was just as impressive now, as she was when Eisenhower was president ! Think about that folks, that's how long

Saw Nana at the Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton and then a few years later at Sun City in South Africa. Great on both occasions. Have read her biography which I found very moving. A true artist in the finest tradition. A pure voice and a commanding stage presence. One of my top performers.

I have a wonderful memory of Nana in person. I was 10. My father had front row centre tickets. Approx. 1982. Canadian theatre. Song For Liberty tour/album. My what a show! She was exceptional. The band was incredible. Especially the musician who played keyboards and all manner of instruments. He dashed around doing them all ( he got as big a cheer as Nana at the end). So I had never seen such a show before. I jumped up for the standing ovations, my father, a mountain of a man cheering “ Bravo”, like the others. I was the only child there. She came to the edge of the stage in front of us, and we had a special moment. She looked down and spent a good 10 seconds at least, smiling directly at me. It’s like her face melted into maternal warmth. It was so noticeable that the audience started to look at what Nana was looking at. I could see heads turning to look at me. Then she gave me the broadest, delighted smile. I happened to look like a miniature version of her. (Not by design.) The hair, colour and style and dark glasses. My dad was so excited later telling me how she noticed me. My mother later told me she had children my age and probably thought of them when she saw me. Missing them while on tour. It may be a small thing, but I still feel the joy of that moment, between us. The singer and her youngest fan that night. I was raised on her music, and it takes me back. I remember my dad so much when I hear her. He loved her. It’s hard not to cry. And the music took a kid on a beautiful journey. Thanks Nana. I still see it clear as day. It felt like you brought the world to a little Canadian farm girl’s doorstep. You are a class act.

Pra mim pessoalmente, a voz de Nana Mouskouri, é a mais bela que há no reino musical. Sua inconfundível leveza de interpretação a leva a um santuário angelical capaz de nos transportar ao éden.
La cosa bella di questa grande cantante è che ha cantato anche in altre lingue in tempi nei quali se uno non cantava in inglese vendeva poco. E in ogni lingua ha dato il meglio. Incomparabile con chiunque. Per quanto avvicinandosi ad altri talenti meno grandi lei (la Baez ecc.) si atteggiasse come un'ancella colla regina, in realtà la vera regina della canzone era lei.

What's no to like! My late wife, Marie or Maro, was a Greek born and raised in Alexandria Egypt. We wed after a courtship of just one month and a marvelous marriage of 50+ years. Maro introduced me to all things Greek much to my joy. More than anything else, I fell in love with Greek music, especially Nana Mouskouri with her great voice. When I am feeling blue, listening to Nana brings back thoughts of beautiful times with my Maro
