In my city it's illegal for supermarkets to give plastic bags, so you have to bring yours. I'm happy that there are more people doing it for their own choice 😊
Mei getting excited over hand soap, tooth brushes and re-usable shopping bags is just so cute 😭💕 it makes me so happy that people are caring about what they are using and spreading knowledge in such a peacefull way! thanks for sharing and also thanks to your brother for sharing, too :)
Watkins is made out of the small town where i grew up in Minnesota! it's so exciting to see their products in Target and in people's houses when i've been using them all my life 😊
Kind of random, but.. The forest behind my house I grew up in used to be a garbage dump in the 1930's and my dad and I go on "archaeological digs" and let me tell you that toothbrushes do last, that's for sure. I actually collect them, which is kind of weird I know. And the porcelain dolls, bottles, and jewelry we find. We love these digs but luckily we are more eco-conscious than the people who threw all that stuff out in the past :P
I love prismatic shadows as well, I bought an Urban Decay one called Tonic. A bit expensive for a single shadow. But it's super pretty. It's a lavender to a blue shift soooo pretty. ❤
I'm in love with your videos! I love that you're so conscious about how what you use affects the earth. Makes me really think about how we can take better care of the earth and become more aware of how everyday products affects our environment.
I love how you are trying to be more eco-friendly! Whenever I shop something I make sure to bring a reusable canvas bag with me because I hate getting the stuff packed into plastic bags! plus it definitely looks cuter without a random af plastic bag! I'd even rather carry my goods loosely on my hands and in my pockets than having to carry a plastic bag.
You're one of my fav RUclipsrs! You're so cute and honest with the products you use which I appreciate when a lot of other beauty RUclipsrs aren't. Keep being you 💝
In my city they have plastic bags in all super markets but in some they sell reusable bags, though my family doesnt use those because it 's not enough for the amount we buy,so instead we use empty cardboard boxes we find there. We use them for many things but it mainly goes to our dogs to lay on.
mei your content is so good!! you have inspired me so much to be more eco-conscious with the products i buy! thank you so much for all your tips and recommendations! 💕
i was in the same situation whit the vertical labret piercing. it's like you said, unique and that's why i wanted mine but i had to think about it for a few months because i didn't know if i could handle the pain (i'm not very brave) but after i got mine it felt so good and i was happy i had courage to do it :)
My mom recently started using those reusable bags as well and I gotta admit I also think they look really fun to use. I really wanna consider using them as well.
princessmei i got inspired by the indian way of haircare since they have strong and healthy hair. I started to use the khadi products which are also one of my fav, all natural and cruelty free. maybe you like that ^^
Kunsang Amipa I tried using Shea butter that was made for hair. It was hideous, my hair became oily and greasy even if I apply a small amount and it would make my hair a weird texture thst I didn't like at all. My hair also started falling off rather much more than it already was.
I'm just found of that makeup colour combination! Also I thought reusable bags were common! But it's true in France they don't give bags for free anymore so it gives a motive to people to use reusable bags :)
Oh god i have like the same thing on my hands and lips!!! I would literally get like plain chapped lips and one little bump on a finger for the past couple years but when I went vegan, it turned into a straight rash with flakey, rough skin with what looked like a bunch of cuts, and it was super itchy. Pretty sure it was the diet change that did it cause the irritations can be linked to B vitamin deficiency, I don't think it's eczema. Since i tried getting in more B vitamins the irritation seems to have calmed down quite a bit. Im also really sensitive to certain ingredients and cosmetic/skincare products which is a big reason why I stick to all natural. Shea butter has helped SOO much with my hands!! Even if there wasn't much itch or open skin it would still always be kinda bumpy and dry but when I started using SheaMoisture hand cream it's like practically gone. But i still gotta watch out.
in the uk, you have to pay 5p for a normal plastic bag or 10p for a big, strong reusable bag (only at big brand store though :/ ) but cloth bags have become really popular to carry your shopping in too!
Omg! Thanks for the dog sweater recommendation! My dog's body is like a loaf of bread with little stumpy legs coming out of it so it's so hard to find anything to fit , glad to find a place where I can customise the size!
For the past 7ish months my lips suddenly became allergic to every single lip product, like ALL OF THEM, my lips were dry, scaly, flaky and raw and had a couple small blisters, they were throwing the biggest hissy fit ever. But then I tried Blistex relief creme and they got soooooooo much better, like now my lips are smooth and soft and actually have a pinkish tinge that wasn't there before. So if you're struggling too, try Blistex!
I rarely ever buy products people mention in their favourites, but I'm seriously going to buy that lip balm and nail polish from 100% Pure!! I think it'll be my best buys of 2017 so far :D thanks Mei!!
You should try function of beauty shampoo and con ditioner! It's totally cruelty free, paraben free, sulfate free, and its custom! You just take a hair quiz and then they give you your personalized set. I've been using mine for about a month now and I'm pretty happy with it. It actually has been really good to my bleached hair, it's softer and easier to comb
I've seen it on instagram, I think the piercing look good on you and that comes from someone who actually don't like piercings, but you have the right beautiful and thick lips for it, so don't worry, it really suits you. :)
If you want to use less toothbrushes, just clean them by putting them in the dishwasher. That''s my mom does and she's a dentist, so its okay!! I hope this helps!! She only throws them out when the bristles start either falling out or just when they get less firm.
dude!!!! have you tried alba coconut conditioner?? My hair is dry as all hell and it seriously makes my hair so so shiny. Ive got all my friends hooked on it now too haha
Hey Mei! Being raised in a Hispanic/Latino household I've been conditioned to save EVERY plastic bag and reuse them as trashbags or for travel. Is there a more ecofriendly alternative to using plastic bags as trashbags? I have actually started using the big paper bags from Whole Foods as trashbags, but I wanted to know other ideas.
You might wanna try kenra moisturizing shampoo/conditioner! I have BLEACHED silver hair, and it makes my hair feel like a baby's butt! It's color safe, too!
How long does the hair mask last for for you? I have the nature republic argan hair mask but the softness only lasts for like 2 days, and afterwards my hair goes back to its dry state. Also perhaps you lips are dry because of your toothpaste. Many toothpaste contains sls. And your dog is so cute!! In the video he looked like he was going out on an adventure.
got these toothbrushes :^) thx! my town is banning plastic bags in march thank da lort. also found biodegradable bags 4 my pets litter bc i was feelin quite guilty after watching this! thanks for the constant positive inspo & knowlege 🌱💙
you should try calia, it's a Canadian brand, I was introduced to the company by a youtuber, holistichabits. I love it. also I suggest castor oil for moisturizing hair. I just tried it recently and think it did amazingly.
Having worked in retail for three years, the amount of plastic thrown away from shipments is just mind blowing. We only recycle the card board boxes but the plastic that wraps every single clothing item is excessive and so wasteful it makes my heart hurt dumping so many trashbags filled with plastic every day. And this only coming from one store.
Careful with the mask Mei! I was browsing for hair masks on amazon and I ran upon that mask too! The useful ingredients, such silk amino acids, hydrolysed wheat and Argan oil are listed way down the ingredient list so I'm not sure if it's actually good for the hair )-: I ended up doing diy masks. Other than that thanks for the lovely video, much love xoxo! ❤️🍞
In my city it's illegal for supermarkets to give plastic bags, so you have to bring yours. I'm happy that there are more people doing it for their own choice 😊

Please do the faux bob tutorial. I have begun wearing bright colored wigs lately and appreciate any advice on a faux bob. Your videos are fantastic :)
My mom recently started using those reusable bags as well and I gotta admit I also think they look really fun to use. I really wanna consider using them as well.
I hope this doesn't come across as rude in any way but that eyeliner really makes your eyes look bigger! Your makeup is on point in this. 💖
have you tried the shea moisture hair products before? if not, its worth a try, they are my favourite :)
i try to avoid them since there's been a bit of a dispute about their stance on cruelty free :'o( you can read about it on logical harmony!
princessmei what! i didnt know that, thanks for the info, i'll look it up D:

omg I can't handle your adorable layering 💕💕💕
It's cute how you get excited over eco-friendly products! I'm honestly the same way haha I've gotten excited over natural deodorant
in the uk, you have to pay 5p for a normal plastic bag or 10p for a big, strong reusable bag (only at big brand store though :/ ) but cloth bags have become really popular to carry your shopping in too!
Argan oil is so nice and smells lovely! I kinda wish my hair was pink like yours though 💕
I'd love to see your faux bob hair tutorial, however you totally pull off the bob look!!! ♡

Your voice always makes me so damn happy!! Ily

I use to change my toothbrush every month till my dentist gave a a "are you stupid?" look and told me that's not necessarily.
but toothbrushes are normally in the bathroom next to the toilet
I change mine once a month, I'm probably just paranoid lol
in italy most of the grocery shops have biodegradable bags, but in my family we use alwaus the same bag

How long does the hair mask last for for you? I have the nature republic argan hair mask but the softness only lasts for like 2 days, and afterwards my hair goes back to its dry state.
