You just did not get him right, Kurt Cobain had a hard life often and was bullied at school, he wanted to be a Rockstar = like a Punk playing whatever in a Punk Band in small clubs for People like him -> outsider , he never wanted to be a Superstar, he said clearly I do hate myself being now in the place force to play my music for those kind of kids did bully and hate me on school, this is exhausting and getting me sick. He also said often very clear, he never care much of wanna be a person of success, he was more the Anti Hero Type of person. He did also not like people in the music industry did everything to be famous and making money like going with the hype and playing in long hair rock bands like guns and roses ... Then there was also his stomage sickness and he was contracted onto big Tours without a break, he often needed to cancel a concert or was on some burned out, what did also end up bad. The stress , drugs , uncomfort and exhaustion was even much more bad for his stomage issures .... He trying to stop playing smells like teen spirit the song did make him a superstar and a song he start to hate because everyone likes it and not only the punks, so he did hope with the next album In Utero he will get back to his roots and shake off the mainstream and everyone in respect to the punks, but his nightmare did not end there ... All in this - he took more and harder drugs to get a long and finally did take a break and his 1st suicide attempt , then try to get clean and get back up again, he faced reality, he will not make it and loose the band and his family and that he will never get back on his feet again, that was also meant what he said in his last letter. He was sorry and did make himself guilty , that he could not preform like fans and the music as art does demand it and that he turned into someone his daughter should not grow up with. it was time for him to go, because he was trapped with life as his enemy and the life was heading up in front of him will even more wreck him to someone he will hate himself even much more and also noone else would like to see, specially not his daughter and people love him, he was sorry to everyone, but he was done and he is out and needed to go, because he did already cause pain and is in pain by himself all the time what will even get much more worse by the problems can not be solved, so he would like to say his last goodbye as long as there is something left can still be respected.

I remember: more than ten years ago while watching movie "Across the Universe" I thought that this guy could easily play Kurt without any make-up. Such great was the similarity between them, not only faces, but also eyes and voices.
I Saw NIRVANA Live on the IN UTERO Tour in Vancouver Canada on Jan.4.1994 @ PNE FORUM and it was Awesome. They opened with my fav song off In Utero "RADIO FRIENDLY UNIT SHIFTER", Kurt is missed!!!!
My only wish was in Setlist if they could have had more INCESTICIDE songs (Only 1 song "Sliver") like DIVE, MOLLYS LIPS us other Bleach tunes but im just lucky to have saw NIRVANA last Canadian show ever and 2nd to last North American show!!!
Nirvana was a big time in my life as a kid was totally obsessed. The memories of the music mixed with his life is sad though. I know they never did a proper movie on him but idk if they could even come close. Soaked in bleach was good documentary but just confused a lot and who really knows what happened.
The time when all of this happened nearly 30 years ago will never be forgotten. I don't know if a film or series can re-create what it was like especially for those coming-of-age during that time.
the reason people are still obsessed with him is because he was a once in a generation melodic genius. I honestly think he wrote better melodies than The Beatles and I love The Beatles, but Nirvana (and Kurt specifically) were in a league of their own.
Wash your mouth out with soap! Now I'll understand if this comment was made in a moment of drunken exuberance, but in no reality did nirvana write better melodies than the Beatles. Let's put aside the fact that the Beatles put out a million more songs than nirvana, but just put the Beatles top 10 songs against any other bands top 10 and the Beatles will smoke them...especially melodies, this is where the Beatles are known to have excelled! I love nirvana as much as the next psychotic nirvana fan...but the Beatles were the Beatles, no one is ever touching the top of their mountain.
If they do a nirvana series for real.. I hope they also focus on how funny he was and what a good person he was outside of the issues that claimed his life..
The mild mannered animal loving wacky janitor .. that just so happened to stray down a path of popular songs whilst on drugs .. 😊 and being all contrary . There was moments of real light and greatness that shone thru
There are few greater people to make a movie of series on. His impact on the world was and is profound on a measure hard to explain. What’s most tragic was how unforgiving relentless this world was too him. Many of us would love to see this happen… make it a masterpiece. His life deserves to be memorialized.
How is this not a thing still. Everyone would want it and this would be a a huge success. And not everyone knows the story of nirvava and these would be the perfect thing for that. Elvis got a moive, queen , and even bob marley is getting one. Kurt deserves this
I saw Nirvana 3 times. Bleach tour, Nevermind and In Utero. For me I thought the best was Bleach, not sure why maybe because they were pretty much unheard of and absolutely blew my mind I thought for sure they were going to be a big band. In no way I did I think they were going to be the biggest band in the world which they became after nevermind blew up. The Nevermind show was great also. The 90s were great! Great times for music no doubt. Happy New Year everyone!🍻🤙
Would love to see a high quality production of Nirvana’s history, but focused on their legacy and not his death (like you said in the description). Wu-Tang Clans show is great and I could see Nirvana in the same vein. Also I love the music made for the trailer.
Despite him being so against this sort of idolization, I was excited that this was a REAL series and would absolutelty binge watch the hell out of it. Love Ya Kurt!

Joe Anderson actually played a similar role in a movie called the 27 club that was super underground and has yet been released on DVD or streaming services. The movie was made back in 2007!
So far, the only honest film (or documentary) about Kurt's death is "Soaked In Bleach", a very well produced 2015 documentary, which features interviews with investigators in the case, at the time, with the couple's lawyers, with those involved, with witnesses, with interviews with top USA medical examiners. Anyway, it's really worth watching and its avaliable for free here on RUclips.

The cool thing would be to do like Quentin Tarantino does in his films, change the historical context, they could make a film showing the context of Kurt and he not committing suicide!
Thinking about making a screenplay about him, but unlike this fan film it'll be more about his legacy than his death. You can't run from what he did, but rather focus on his imprint

This is using clips from Soaked In Bleach'. Has everyone here seen the fascinating movie, Soaked In Bleach featuring Tom Grant- PI and his investigation into the mysterious events surrounding the death of Grunge Icon and Nirvana frontman from Seattle, Kurt Cobain?
For the people who are saying that Kurt would not want this and that their should not be any shows or movies, I do agree but what you need to remember is that it’s Hollywood, they are going to try to make as much money as possible and if making a show about Nirvana is going to get them money then they are going to do it.
They need to do something like this for real! An actual movie about Kurt and nirvana!! They have so many documentaries out there and Soaked in Bleach I was looking forward to but that was basically a documentary

he wanted to be a Rockstar = like a Punk playing whatever in a Punk Band in small clubs for People like him -> outsider ,
he never wanted to be a Superstar, he said clearly I do hate myself being now in the place force to play my music for those kind of kids did bully and hate me on school,
this is exhausting and getting me sick. He also said often very clear, he never care much of wanna be a person of success, he was more the Anti Hero Type of person.
He did also not like people in the music industry did everything to be famous and making money like going with the hype and playing in long hair rock bands like guns and roses ...
Then there was also his stomage sickness and he was contracted onto big Tours without a break, he often needed to cancel a concert or was on some burned out,
what did also end up bad. The stress , drugs , uncomfort and exhaustion was even much more bad for his stomage issures ....
He trying to stop playing smells like teen spirit the song did make him a superstar and a song he start to hate because everyone likes it and not only the punks,
so he did hope with the next album In Utero he will get back to his roots and shake off the mainstream and everyone in respect to the punks, but his nightmare did not end there ...
All in this - he took more and harder drugs to get a long and finally did take a break and his 1st suicide attempt , then try to get clean and get back up again,
he faced reality, he will not make it and loose the band and his family and that he will never get back on his feet again, that was also meant what he said in his last letter.
I can't believe Cobain has been gone over 25 years and there's never been anything that good done about him.

I remember: more than ten years ago while watching movie "Across the Universe" I thought that this guy could easily play Kurt without any make-up. Such great was the similarity between them, not only faces, but also eyes and voices.
Man…. I got teary watching this. Thank you for this trailer and thanks Kurt for everything. God bless you
Kurt and nirvana will always be one of my biggest inspiration in life, let him rest
Joe Anderson is a perfect role for this after his performance in Across the Universe. Back then I told myself that he'd play a perfect Kurt Cobain.
Ohh, thank you was wondering who the actor was
I Saw NIRVANA Live on the IN UTERO Tour in Vancouver Canada on Jan.4.1994 @ PNE FORUM and it was Awesome. They opened with my fav song off In Utero "RADIO FRIENDLY UNIT SHIFTER", Kurt is missed!!!!
My favorite also! But i dont know how i can say that because each song is so easy to love. Kurt is impossible to forget.
lucky you 😭😭😭
My only wish was in Setlist if they could have had more INCESTICIDE songs (Only 1 song "Sliver") like DIVE, MOLLYS LIPS us other Bleach tunes but im just lucky to have saw NIRVANA last Canadian show ever and 2nd to last North American show!!!

I was 17 when Nevermind hit and you are absolutely right. I imagine it was like what the people felt who were there when the Beatles broke.
It could. But only our generation could really feel it. If it is made by the right people
I was relieved when i realised this isn't really happening.
This video was just cringe
It seems really fixated on his suicide more than anything and that's not really as cool as a series just about him in life.
It seems a bit exploitive
yeah and it seems like they were portraying the death as some fictional thriller thing
Not to mention he didn't even commit suicide in the first place.
@@patrickfoster4586 he did. You casual
@@patrickfoster4586 um yes he did lmao
@@lottofever3061 there’s a lot of evidence that courtney killed him
the reason people are still obsessed with him is because he was a once in a generation melodic genius.
I love nirvana as much as the next psychotic nirvana fan...but the Beatles were the Beatles, no one is ever touching the top of their mountain.

underrated comment.
There was much more to Kurts story as a musician than that tragedy.
Best comment in this thread. WHY do they have to dwell on the drama as usual?
He was murdered. His wife hired people around him and the police to conspire in his murder. How do you NOT know this. Wstch soaked in bleach

I thought this was real. I was actually looking forward to this.
Whenever I hear Kurt singing I kinda feel so overwhelmed and think why he took his own life. He had everything in life, fame, money, a family, a career. He decided to put an end to his life.
