“You Can Have Him, Jolene” was FANTASTIC all the way around. “The Girls are Back in Town” was really good, but not the same energy. “ American Pride” is a great song, but Simon was right, and kind, as the vocals were frequently off key. That performance may have sunk them.

They are definitely winners. A few years ago there was a shy little high school girl named Courtney Hadwin. When she started singing she brought the house down. She has been on three. Times and has never won. Simon told her he was stunned that she hadn't won. But I have kept an eye on her and she is doing well

i know your comment is a year old but i just saw it and i can answer this, yes it is an original and just fyi after Loretta Lynn heard this one she asked them to do this to one of her songs and they did! she has passed on but she got to hear it and loved it before she died. I wish the ladies were even more famous than they are but it might take a few more years they have performed at the opry a few times but the crowds just weren't as into them as i felt they should have been and i am not generally a country fan at all!

Charlie Pride and 2 other African Americans were members of The Grand Ole Opry. Charlie Pride was also from Mississippi. I grew up in Massachusetts and was not exposed to a lot of country music but what I heard, I liked. Also lived in Texas for a year in 84 where I was exposed to a lot more. I can say one thing about these ladies, though, they love America and are a much needed breath of fresh air and creative artistry to the C&W genre, I love them and hope to hear much more from these very beautiful, very talented young ladies.
These ladies are the best that have ever been on AGT. I cannot believe they haven't won AGT yet. I can hardly wait until they start making DVDS, I WANT ONE SOOO BAD!

P.S. I knew as soon as I heard your voice in the finale that something was off. Then I heard you needed throat surgery. I'm glad you fully recovered your beautiful voice afterwards. I had a couple of neck surgeries where they had to move my vocal chords to the side, and my voice was permanently changed. Better me than you!!❤
