From this list...Pinball Map, Take this Life, Everything's Gone. Very impressed that you learned it all that fast, too. 🤘 (Farvann's lawyers must be good. I don't see a pie chart. 🤔)
Yeah I know what you mean. Not all metalcore, but there's definitely was subgenre of metalcore that was very influenced by melodeath. The best type of metalcore if you ask me.
@@rudolfantlerofficial fuck no. I love that style of melodeath. Meshuggah has been more of a disaster honestly, I love them but they've influenced a legion of uninspired, boring Drop E tuning bands that all sound robotic and the same. Hate the modern state of djent and how it has infiltrated metalcore. Although there are some good bands.
@@jojoplaysmusic Yeah, there's some great stuff there. I'd even dare saying that if you dug deeper, you could find something in Battles. I reckon it's their weakest album, though, and that overall it sucks.
Awesome Riff Journey🎸🔥🤘 maybe you can do a 'High on Fire' Riff Journey next? They have some of the nastiest sludge riffs ever. Greetings from Lotasticland
I used to listen to In Flames back in the days, with Dark Tranquillity. I really liked their post 2000s albums, including Clayman. Never really cared after that :/
In flames es mi banda favorita ever!!! Grandes grandes riffs, pero sí, aunque Battles tiene sus pequeños momentos, en su mayoría se centra en coros de puras quintas :S
Good video. But one question can you give me some tips on how to Improve picking technique and make my playability nice and clean? I'm mainly focusing on tech death metal
lmao as much as battles is probably my least favorite, it had some killer stuff from Bjorn in some of the songs. The End almost sounds like Embody The Invisible if you strip away the poppy stuff from the song
I dont know if its just the recording or your EQ but any more than 2feet away from my phone and this sounds like static. Good covers but you gotta work on your EQ, it's extremely muddy
Don't like Battles, eh? 😆That's ok... I like it. A good rock/light "metal" album, especially for if you're driving and you want to rock out moderately.
So what are YOUR favorite In Flames riffs?
Pinball Map is great!

I'm a sucker for the entire 'Come Clarity' album. 'I am the Highway' is also pretty sick. And don't forget about the classic 'Pinball Map'.
Love all the underrated song choices. Also nice Mirrorjade jumpscare
Based Mirrorjade enjoyer
Saw them live back in 1997 in Sweden! They played most songs from my favourite album The Jester Race + a ”new” unreleased song called ”Episode 666”🤘
Nice
December flower is my favourite In flames song of all time 😭🤘
This was a fun trip through time. In Flames was such a huge part of my youth
Stand Ablaze is such a good song and they just played it live for the 1st time in many years 🔥
My goodness you are good at guitar, keep up the amazing work
Thank you so much! :))
great work.mate!!
Great band and great job playing
Thank you!
If it was not for in Flames and At The Gates all "metalcore" subgenre wouldn't exit, in my humble opinion. 😁
I mean there’s 90s metalcore and deathcore stuff that has no relation to melodeath whatsoever.
@@krikahalo yeah that was closer to the Hardcore scene more than anything

Slaughter of the Soul and its consequences have been a disaster for the metal scene.

The Battles one HAD ME
Great vid🔥🔥🔥🔥
Awesome! my fav band
Oh... I see it. The timing of this video coincides with the new album. You dug some forgotten gems here. Good job!
Thank you! I found some seriously underrated songs post Clayman.

Nicely played mate. Though I thought those hairband tampons stayed in the early ninties 😉
I, too, play Branded Despia...
That, and Cyber Dragons
Cyber Dragons is my favorite deck ever, and Branded my favorite meta deck.
lord id die for that neural DSP preset
Sounds really good!
ALL my presets ever are on my Patreon
Battles...🤣🤣🤣
Awesome video. Great job with the riffs. 🤘🏻 How do you program the drums so well? I really would like to learn this.
Awesome Riff Journey🎸🔥🤘 maybe you can do a 'High on Fire' Riff Journey next? They have some of the nastiest sludge riffs ever. Greetings from Lotasticland
Im not really into them. So probably not 🤷♂️
Очень круто! Чувак фанат)
Lunar strain and the jester race are in my top 5 albums of all time both are 🔥🔥
Qué bueno está el nuevo disco de In Flames 🤘
I would like to learn to play more of these songs. Where did you learn them? Figure them out by yourself?

You can definitely hear where Trivium got their influence from
Omega Grano...good choice for in Flames toans...
;)
Would be interesting to hear a Deeds of Flesh riff journey. God knows I couldn’t pull that off.
Ooph, I’ll see what I can do.
Do crawl through knives!
What’s wrong with Battles? Underneath My Skin has riffs that would have been appropriate.

kind of got into mainstream like metal ore in American circle after 2000… Good job on the guitar BTW!
Metalcore*
Thank you!
Battles 👌 😂
Del álbum Battles, el tema "In My Room" es una joya, tiene unos riffs magníficos.
be careful to your shaking monitors 😄😄
Yeah those are at the verge of falling off. I desperately need a new desk.

Most likely it’s your phone’s speakers
Phone speakers are awful by design, I'd recommend listening to this on a decent set of headphones.
Soundtrack To Your Escape sounds pretty good with proper tone for guitar/drums... can't stand that album's tone except for My Sweet Shadow
Don't like Battles, eh? 😆That's ok... I like it. A good rock/light "metal" album, especially for if you're driving and you want to rock out moderately.
I just didn’t find any riff that was fun enough to play
You put all your gear except your monitors!
They’re the Mackie CR3s!
@@jojoplaysmusic Sweet! Great playing and riff selection!
Though the overall mix was kinda lame, Battles was still a good album :sob:
dead eternity is so fucking good. especially the subterrannean version.
It’s so good that I had to include it in the album after so I could have more subterranean.
@@jojoplaysmusic lmfao for real
Idk, in flames sounds like Iron Maiden w blast beats to me, can't get into that :/
Great band until reroute to remain and the slow decay into corecrap
Eye contact please
