Hell yes, this is my favorite of the Final Fantasy games, especially the classic ones! I have been waiting for this one ever since I saw you followed up FF1 with FF2! I hope you enjoy it.
As far as like items to purchase beyond Pigments? I do quite like the Valentine Feat personally. Allowing her to become evil to be available for Mirt as well as offering the Evil tag to those who can benefit, like Warduke, Krond, and potentailly Durge. Of course Feats will *eventually* come to the gem shop, after a good bit of time. The Golden Epics don't interest me personally, but that's just my opinion.

It's one I've been looking forward to playing through again. Been a while since I've taken the dive into it, but it holds a special place in my heart.
