Nice touch with the black and white opening for that historical look.
I love the open floorplan. No narrow hallway when you first open the door to the room. A nice change from taking a bath in your kitchen.
I like the look of the room old school and yet modern nice vid!
I stayed 1 night in May and I loved it.
I’m very impressed with the room! Nicely done. I last stayed there when it was very old❤ like me😂

Totally decent. Maybe we called it the Hell Cortez In error when we were younger!
Stayed in one of the renovated rooms a couple of years ago (I had decided to stay a rare Fri/Sat and their rate was fantastic). The room was great; the noise outside the window was not (it doesn't matter which street you face, they're all loud). The casino, elevators, etc. were still dingy and in need of upgrades though (hooray for the new Starbucks!). Great restaurants/bars nearby (Siegel's isn't bad either) so you don't have to deal with the Fremont Street Experience craziness. I remember when it was sketchy around the ElCo but safe at the Experience, now it seems vice versa!

😊😊😊thanks for the tour. When I have stayed at the El Cortez I've stayed in the original vintage rooms. They also have been redone. Last time I stayed they were not remodeled yet.
I stayed at the El Cortez last October and loved it! Going back in August, can't wait!

DTM are you sure you didn't check-in to a therapist office? I mean with the wristband, therapist couch and the Keurig coffee maker. El Cortez lured DTM by building a Starbucks inside the building. I think if you go over the mountains that's where they make the Terrifico Mexican beer.
Ill be sending my parents to the same rooms as shown in September, hopefully they will meet you too, my dad saw our pic with you and was jealous haaa 🤙

I check in on Tuesday. Staying for two nights. Unless I get a hand pay. Then I will stay for a week. Wish me luck playing video poker.

We usually stay at el cortez and like it they are now renovating so gona wait till their done they have no pool but there's a community pool around the corner.
the downtown grand pool is open to the public according to what I heard

I just heard they are getting rid of 3:2 BJ single deck. They were the last property in Vegas who had that I think.

Hey, I was told The El-Cortez has much 'looser" slots than the more high priced strip properties.
I dont know these things.. but no casino in their right mind would loosen them to the point where it becomes a charity, can you imagine?

When last I stayed in one of those rooms, many years ago, that window in the shower actually opened - it probably still does. How long ago was it? I shared an elevator with Jackie Gaughan and his helper.
the window still does open! I opened it when I went to take a shower
Could be an illusion of seeing the video on a monitor, but that TV looks pretty small to be 70".
