This turned out very pretty and that rick rack is amazing!! Something that might help with the collar is that when you sew a trim on a curved part of a garment holding and pinning it flat can cause puckering as well. Unfortunately I did that with a dress with trim down the front princess seams and it puckers at the curve of my bust and pulls up at the waist seam. If you lay the piece across a tailors ham or small pillow shaped item while you pin and sew it will help prevent that. Just don't sew it to the ham... won't say how I know that one either. 🤣
I love your videos, It's been so fun to watch your vintage and sewing journey. You should check out Stephanie Canada's christmas dress video. Her channel is another I really like. BTW's love the hair, I did the same thing in the 1980's, Manic Panic!
Thank you so much, it has been fun to share my journey! I actually already follow her and have bought patterns from her (my playsuit video is a pattern I bought from her).
Very cute dress! I love how you show mistakes and mess ups. Also I agree the rickrack looks very good hand sewn on.
Love the ric-rac!
I love that print!! You did an awesome job with the gathers and the rickrack. The dress looks amazing on you!
Thanks so much, I think I am now super into ric rac lol.
Such a cute dress. I love the fabric!
Thank you! 💕
Loved this video!! The dress looks so good!
Thank you!

Thank you! Oh that is a good tip, I'll have to try that next time, I find my curved seams rarely do what I want lol.
Your dress turned out SO ADORABLE!! You are so talented- and I loved that you showed the process. Merry Christmas!!!
Thanks so much! I hope you Christmas was great!
Im a year late but this is adorable
Just found this video and love the dress. Also, your intro dress is beautiful. Did you make it? Would love to know the pattern.
I did not make my intro dress but there are lots of 70s patterns out there that would give a similar look!
