Justin has such a reputation of being a jerk, people think this was mean and I don't think it was meant to be. He said he wants to be like Adele, in the way that at her concerts she's able to actually talk to her fans and connect with them. I feel like Justin is just over the whole "teen idol" thing. He wants something deeper than just selfies and retweets. A lot of his fans like the idea of him but they don't actually care about him or what he has to say. They just want him to sing, dance, and take selfies with them and he's over that. It sucks that in 2016 actually wanting to talk to people it's being perceived as mean and ungrateful...

The difference between them is adeles audience are usually adults 20-70+ and they just record and enjoy the moment where as justin biebers fans are 7-16+ who just scream their heads off.

If he wants an adult audience like Adele, he should make different kind of music and change his brand. At the moment his brand is a teen idol.

I was at this show and what the media didn't mention was the fact that everyone started to boo him. It's disrespectful and rude. If you were trying to talk to your fans and they start to boo you of course you're going to get mad and walk off why would he stand there and listen to 20,000 people boo him. After he walked off he came back a few minutes later and apologised and said he wants a moment talking to his fans and he can't do that if he has the whole arena booing him and screaming. The media doesn't ever show the full story there is more to it that is published. People love to find flaws in people and it isn't right. It was the most amazing night of my life yeah he went off for 2 minutes but the other 2 hours of the show were amazing. I think the press need to stop scrutinising him and picking apart everything justin does because if any other artist had 20,000 fans booing him they wouldn't be made out to be the bad guy like Justin always is.

I was at the show too and the media miss out a lot of things such as the booing from all those disrespectful people to paint him as the bad guy for walking off stage. I would walk of stage too if people were booing at me, during my own show and also a show that those idiots payed for. It was ridiculous what happened to him that night. I was so angry with the crowd. And no, the crowd is not full of ,12\13 year olds, Justin grew up & so did the fans, people need to stop generalising his whole fan base as little girls because it's not true, there were many adult women in groups going to the concert for a night out, there were groups of boys going out to see him. All in all, people need to know all the details before they assume he's the bad guy for walking off stage, there was obviously a bigger reason to it.

Unlike God, we made these stars (by supporting them), they didn't make us. Just appreciate their talent. Never idolize a human being. Sometimes we confuse idolization with appreciation.

He said he appreciated the support but that he wanted to connect with them by talking with them….THAT DOES NOT SEEM LIKE DIVA BEHAVIOR TO ME….Diva's wouldn't be concerned with trying to connect with you because everything would center around you showing your appreciation for them…..

emily dane he did talk, I was there and only about 10 people were booing and they were quite drunk. It wasn't his fans booing it was like people who weren't his biggest supporters but enjoyed his music and all the fans were shouting telling them to Shutup and telling everyone who was screaming to stop

I think Justin was justified there. I went to his concert in London two weeks ago. Inbetween his songs, he stopped to ask a girl what her favourite part of the show had been and she just screamed. In his face. He asked if she knew he was just trying to have a conversation with her, and she screamed again. Being a fan is cool, but when someone is tying to interact with you, it can get frustrating when all you get is a scream in your face. They love the former teeny bopper Justin, but they don't really see HIM. I would be frustrated if I was him. It must get lonely not having these real interactions.

As much as I like the women of the Real, this was very annoying to watch. It's so annoying when people don't see Justin for the amazing person that he is, and only care to speak about him when something like this happens just so they can bash him & make ridiculous headlines. I'm 21 now and have been a fan of Justin since I was 15....the guy has been through a lot since he started living his life in the spotlight. It doesn't help in any way shape or form to continue to talk about him in a negative way because we all know he probably watches these things...and as humans, we tend to care what people think about us sometimes even if we tell ourselves we don't. I'm not gonna lie i get super excited when I go to concerts....and lords knows what I would do if I ever went to a Justin Bieber concert. however screaming while someone is trying to talk is very annoying, especially when he asks politely, and yes I've seen clips of him asking fans politely to not scream while he was talking. Anyone can ask people to be quiet but I guess when you're Justin Bieber it's a sin. It also shouldn't matter how old his fans are...the whole his fans are 12 year olds is so 2009 btw 🙄. Anyways what I'm trying to say is people should stop acting like mind readers and let Justin be who he is. I can see why he might be frustrated. When you get to that level of stardom fans forget that you are human and demand way too much.
Bottom line is appreciate the people who help you be who you are. They can be annoying sometimes but you can suck it up for one day or a couple or hours, as long as it is not any form of abuse.
When no one cares about him anymore, which will be soon, he will look back and wish he took those pics and appreciated how much he was loved.

I love that Adrienne threw it back to Selena, true Selena fans know she was the ultimate artist, ultimate performer, theres a reason she's such a big icon, even her dad said she could really command the crowd, she could control them and that's not something many artists can do, to connect with them that way, Selena was a special artist and loved in a special way, she always appreciated her fans though, that's a huge thing missing from artists now a days.
I can understand how the screaming may get annoying especially if you're trying to be deep, but the way I see it is that's the price of fame. If he wants to having a more mellow conversation with his fans maybe save it for when he's on Ellen or some other show where the audience is more structured to do that and not at sold out arena concerts. Because even though the fans are going a little too crazy, most likely in their eyes this is the closest they'll ever get to being in his presence and they're just overwhelmed with emotion because of it, because they love him so much. Idk I just feel he could have went about it in a different way like with the examples the ladies of The Real suggested.

I get what Loni's saying about waiting the screams out, but he's done that before. I absolutely love Justin and I've been to multiple concerts where the screams are just too much at times. I understand it from his point of view and as a fan's point of view. We're excited to see him, but it gets to a point where it's frustrating when you can't even hear him sing anymore and he's out there putting on a nice ass show for us, like he really does PERFORM. I think Justin just wants the fans to listen and genuinely enjoy his music, I feel like he thinks that he has to prove to others that he can really sing and dance and play instruments and this and that because of all the criticism he's gotten since he started. And he's a perfectionist, he's said that before so I see how it's frustrating for him when some fans don't know when to shut up and be in the moment with him.
I'm with Justin. When you go to go to a celebrity's performance, you pay for whatever they decide to put on for you. If he has something to say during His show then he should be able to without millions of people making all that noise. And I'm sure whatever he had to say wouldn't have taken more than 5 minutes.

He did come back and apologize, then continued the concert but only sang the songs, no breaks. Since that's what they wanted. There's a huge difference between being an excited audience and a disrespectful one.

I've been to the show many times (since season 1) and there is a long walk, but the whole experience is worth it. I definitely wish I could meet and get a picture with them, but they're really busy and just wanna get through the show which I totally understand.

The wealth disparity is crazy when you think about it. Fans going to these "superstars" concerts probably on minimum wage or average salary, yet the stars they go to see are driving around in flash cars, taking private jets and so on. It is madness when you put it in perspective. All they do is sing and dance, but there's poor people out there struggling.

We have a video. Justin told them to shut up, they didn't stop screaming so he walked off the stage. THAT is when the crowd booed him. It's a concert, not a damn one on one conversation. They paid to watch him perform and if he can't do that without throwing a tantrum, then he shouldn't be performing at all.

Yes, I totally agree that Bieber is over the teen star phase and wants his concerts to be more meaningful and to connect more on a deeper level with his fans. To be honest, I kind of understand Justin. He's becoming a more mature artist. His last record was a clear break from what he used to do. He wants to attract a more mature audience as well. I can understand why it is tiring to never be allowed to speak without people screaming their heads off. I went to a Lady Gaga concert and people shut up when she talked. People listened. These are precious moments between the artist and the public and I think Justin wants to experience that with a more mature crowd.

I think I speak for the majority of Justin's fan when I say WE ARE NOT 12 YEAR OLD LITTLE GIRLS ANYMORE! That may have been the age we were when we discovered him, but that was practically eight years ago. Just like Justin, we grew up! Some of us are graduating high school, attending college, or probably married.
No shade but since y'all "grew up" I would expect your music taste to as well. I'm the same age range as Justin (20) and I can damn well say that my music taste changed so much from when I was 12 or even 16. I never was a fan of him...but Im just saying. And besides...kids these days are also fans of his. SO YES...he has a lot of young fans and Im sure many are pre-teens. Most of the people that was with him when he was discovered has grown into different music taste.

Loni hit it in the nail about the letting them scream and get tired out. And the one who knew how to do that (and probably the only one ever) was MJ. Yo, the dude comes popping out of a toaster on stage at the beginning of every show, chills like a monument for two minutes, and people go crazy. But he always had perfect timing on when to take the glasses off and cue the music. And he was always gracious and kind to his fans even to those who are batsh!t crazy. MJ never had to tell an audience to bring their cameras down or quit screaming because when the music starts and he begins to move, you better be looking at every second of it. I think when you were fortunate to witness any of his shows, you got way more than what you paid for.
I applaud Jeannie for being so gracious and patient, everyone interrupted her and wouldn't even let her get a word in edgeways.

no no no no. the girls are all ganging up on Justin. he has the right to be heard if he wants to say something at his concert. he wants to connect with his fans. he doesn't want them screaming when he is trying to say something. thank you Jeannie , you're the only one who understands out of all of them. I think they just think Justin is a diva because he is young but no. he is transitioning between teen pop star to a mature artist with more mature music.

I was at an Ed Sheeran concert once and he got the entire hall to be silent for one of his songs. It was powerful and amazing. When he got bigger and played MSG and his fanbase consisted more of young girls, he tried to do the same thing and it didn’t work. People were constantly shrieking throughout the quiet songs. You could tell how frustrated he was but it’s part of the gig when you get bigger and your fanbase shifts.
I feel for Justin, people are annoying. Definitely many of those obsessed fans of his.
Dang, I remember back when JB's video Baby first came out and it got so many dislikes. Those were some good times.
So I went to see him in Birmingham last week after waiting 7 years to see him live and I loved it. The main part for me though, was the interaction between the crowd and Justin, when he took the time to talk to us and even then people were screaming and so it made it hard for me to hear him and I had really good seats. So I am completely on his side, there is nothing wrong with asking people to be quiet so that you can actually hear what he has to say, cuz it is important. He talks about how attractive you perceive yourself to be can be based on your mood and how you're feeling, talks about how no matter how depressed you are life gets better and life is worth living (and then sings the song) and talks about how we all have a purpose etc.

I think it's one thing to be excited and it's another thing for you not be able to hear the person that you pay good money to hear and it's the way he asks them to be quiet as well there's a right way to do it and there's a not so right way to do it
Nah it's hella annoying when ur at a concert and the singer can't even get a word out or u can't even hear them perform bc the person next to u won't stop screaming their head off
look hear what i think i don't think Justin was trying to mean he probably can't hear himself because when artist are on the stage they have a ear piece on for they can hear themselves singing to know if there on the right key or to hear when they have to sing the next song or something like that and i think from all the screaming it is affecting him from him hearing on the ear piece
no.. lol. the in ear monitors are made so you can hear yourself sing/talk. because when you're on stage and people are screaming without the in-ear monitors, you can't hear anything but the screams. and it helps you stay in tune with the music. however it can also be used for emergency, the backstage people can talk to him if something happens.
the point is. he would've been able to still hear what he was saying from his in-ear monitors. because that's the point of having those thing in your ear. . if they didn't work. he should've yelled at the technicians not his fans.
He was trying to relay a message to his fans, but you know what? ... They didn't want to hear it and were there for the music (apparently).
If he wants to send out messages and try to have conversations with his fans, maybe he should do more with his old RUclips account.

awh yeah when i went to the Mumford and Sons concert to get our attention and really see(listen) the song "im on fire" by Bruce Springsteen, they asked to really pay attention and other stuff but it was polite and amazing performance!!

I was at the Justin concert in Manchester and he walked off cause he was telling his to be quiet and then some people were booing at him, but I do understand he was being childish and should of just carried on. It was also hard to hear him over the screaming

Finally someone said it. Bieber is being turned into a corporation and he needs a break. He's only 22 and let's be real most 22 year old guys are just out of college and are still growing up too. When Bieber first came back with Purpose after his mini hiatus, he was ecstatic and grateful but now he's been pushed too far. He needs like a minimum one year off. Also, some of that sounded a little too internalized. He might need some therapy too.
