Jeannie is the most intimidating because not only is she intelligent and well spoken but I feel as though she is mentally strong, down to earth, cheerful, kind and beautiful on the inside and outside. Those charismatic qualities make it hard to dislike her. 😍

Now that you say it, there are also people who can be intimidating in a positive way, like they're so nice and accomplished and they seem so perfect in every way, which isn't necessarily the case because we're all struggling, but there's also that kinda of intimidating. Like you want to be around them and be their friend but you feel like you're not worthy enough lol

Sometimes people will call you intimidating because they are jealous of you or can't stand in the same light as you. I think its neither a compliment nor an insult but rather an observation and observations depend on perspectives. Perspectives depend on the person so if someone who is insecure or maybe can't handle your personality they might call you intimidating but in reality you're just on a different spectrum. Being arrogant and obnoxious or rude is a totally different story. You can come off as intimidating and still have manners.. You can come off intimidating without even speaking.

I've being called intimidating because I don't really talk to people unless I want to or when I feel like it, there are people out there who don't know when to shut up cause they think they'll be awkward if they didn't say anything...I however could care less, I'm not easily impressed and I don't kiss no ones ass to be liked.

I think it's empowering for a woman to come off as intimidating. Not in a way where she gives off negative energy and genuinely has an intrusive, ugly personality, but in a way where people value her opinion and want to impress her. It just exudes confidence imo. Not bitchy at all

No she wasn't. She said the only problem she had was that Jeannie wasn't being herself on TV. So that's why Tamar was always eye rolling and lip smacking whenever Jeannie spoke, plus Jeannie offended Tamar FIRST, she talked about her behind her back and Tamar never let it go even though Jeannie apologized.

That's the thing tho, most successful people ARE intimidating. Being intimidating has little to do with you personality, it takes a while for people to understand you and get to really know you. Successful people will always seem intimidating until you get to know them.
Coming from someone who's always told I'm intimidating, it's usually people projecting their own insecurities into you. They assume you're rude/snobby because they think you're intimidating. If you really get to know me, you'd know that I'm cool to be around.
I come off intimidating because I'm really intense and serious but I can't help it. People do keep their distance from me.
Keep it that way. You will avoid running into fake friends and people who waste your time. People who go out of their way to get to know you regardless of the cover of the book, is a real person.

Adrienne, you can be “intimidating” without being famous or successful. I hear I am “intimidating” all the time, and I am neither successful (work wise) nor am I famous, nor do I have a hot resume. And I smile and I am very friendly and respectful. Intimidating needs to be better defined here.

Sometimes when someone says I am intimidated by you it means they’re feeling insecure and they want to blame it on you.
I just feel like being intimidating doesn't always mean that you are a negative or unfriendly person. I think the word Adrienne was thinking of was "arrogant". I think that people can feel intimidated by people that have big personalities or something. I dont know i just feel like being intimidating doesn't have to be a bad thing.

I don't believe it is what intimidating is ! A shy person can be intimidating to others because that person is mysterious. To me it's only an superficial trait not a personality trait, it's only when you don't know someone that you can say, that person is intimidating.

I totally can empathize with those ladies because there have been times when I go out to bars and people are very standoffish with me. One time I asked someone why people wouldn't interact with me, and they said, "Because you come off as high maintenance, unapproachable, and intimidating". The truth of the matter is, I'm actually really friendly and totally approachable. In fact people who know me personally know I'm a hugger lol. Yet there's this idea that I'm "intimidating" because of my career. It's ridiculous.

I get called this a LOT! I just don't suffer foolishness or nastiness. I stand up for what's right and I am not scared of anyone, physically or intellectually, I believe we are equal. I don't judge anyone but if you judge me I'll preach, I know who I am and I sit in it happily. The wise are not affected by praise nor blame, I'm intimidating and people take it as they will. It's not intentional. I am who I am
Until today, some people find me intimidating because I don't always say what I think or just don't express myself when I don't know certain people. But I agree with Jeannie, for others it might looks like I think I'm superior or better than others people but I actually really don't. It's just that I have to make myself a little bit comfortable and then I'll be chillin' with people. It's just that I'm protecting myself due to people I've known in the past (not like 20 YEARS AGO because I'm 20) but when you have already experienced some things, you will be still okay but very aware of what you might expect. But then, because of that, I'll do my part too meaning I try to make people more comfortable when we meet, it's always great to meet new people :) !

I’ve been called intimidating but it’s because I’m not very social and that I’m shy but when I have something to say watch out because I’m loud/strong and fearless! Intimidating was their way of showing me that they didn’t know how to talk to me.
Intimidating is not a verbal thing. It's a physical attribute. It's also a feeling felt by others, not the person who is classified as intimidating.
What I love about the hosts is their individual personalities and the uniqueness each of them brings to the table.
Loni: Has a sense of humour and is always able to make light of any situation whether good or bad.
Adrienne: proud of her culture an her roots and isn't afraid to say it like it is. Direct and upfront.
Jeanie: full of wisdom and knowledge. Incredibly well spoken and intelligent and radiates natural confidence.
Tamera: has a genuine and caring heart. Loves seeing the best in people and is the epitome of grace and elegance.
