- TheAndrewShoe on TikTok was streaming his piano busking in Athens, GA when a woman knocked down his piano and went into his tip jar. Now social media users are going after her, and she finally reached out the the pianist to apologize. But I think this highlights a bigger social issue, on why do some people think they can just get away with this. More importantly, why are people afraid to stop it.

Why do we insist on calling it fatherless behavior? My grandmother was widowed for a while before she met my step grandfather. My mother was the eldest of four children at 10 yrs old, and my grandmother was strict. Likewise, I was widowed at 35 yrs old with three children, and none of my children (whom are all adults now) behave in this manner. They are all productive members of society. It's how you raise your children, not who. Yes, two parents is ideal, but sometimes we don't have a choice but to raise them in a fatherless home. We can't raise the dead. It has more to do with raising children with morals, discipline, and a sense of responsibility. There are children with two parents who act out as well. It's the parenting skills (or lack thereof) that are responsible for how a child will turn out. As well as personal responsibility of those who choose to behave in this way. Society has begun to tell them that it's ok for them to act out because they are victims, and they have been allowing them to commit crimes and giving nothing but a slap on the wrist. It's no wonder we have repeat offenders out and about.

This is a good reminder that (contrary to popular belief) bullies don't suffer from low self-esteem. They actually tend to suffer from excessively HIGH self-esteem, and she is a good example.
Don’t confuse self-esteem with ego. Both may be similar, but can be confused with one another to the untrained. The biggest difference is that self-esteem is nontoxic while ego can be very toxic (especially if kept unchecked)
