We need you to put out a book. Something we can refer to without a phone or signal or power. I know I'd pre- order it. All your videos have been helpful and actually got me into rabbits. Please look into printing something for us. Thanks again Bob.
That’s a fun idea -thanks for watching -I’m so glad you find the videos helpful
The vets in Jamaica don’t know anything so I just go online to Mr googl pants then go out and buy the medicine
We only have one rabbit vet in the area and I live near the capital of Michigan. I hope with rabbit farming on the rise more and more vets will elect the exotic animals curriculum.
It's great to see a new high-quality video , been wondering what you were up to with hunting season being over . I bred the 2 does I got from you on March 1st , how exciting!!! Also bought 22 Acres by Hall Michigan to build a new Homestead off grid . it's getting too crowded in southeast Michigan.
Thanks for commenting Barry. I’m having a lot of fun with it. Other than the batteries weak life the camera is worth every penny. How’s your bees looking? Mine were flying the other day.
@@TheRabbitryCenter yeah I'm down to two hives and they were flying the other day, this year I'll have to take mites more seriously. I lost four.
So far is not losing your videos to future hard drive crashes I recommend getting another hard drive as well as the one you already have on order. Have the 2nd hard drive be bigger than you think you're going to need and use it as a backup archive of all of your b-roll and stock footage. Much easier to spend $100 or $200 then to lose production and downtime.
That way if it happens in the future at most you might've lost whatever you working on at the very moment it crashes but as long as you're diligent about incremental backups while editing videos and offloading from memory cards from the cameras it will be pretty close to impossible to lose any future data. Best of luck, if I can be of any help feel free to drop me a message.
Thanks for the advice It showed up today and it wasn’t the external hard drive like I ordered. 🤦🏼♂️
So I’ll continue the search a good external and back up. Thanks again.
Great channel man, thanks for your work
Happy Birthday Brandon 🎂🎈🎉
Thank you
We always refer to your videos for advice, thank for this!!
We recently lost 3 feeders to contaminated feed. It was totally infuriating. We thought it was cocc and we’re confused about that but it was the newly opened bag of brand name pellets (we had switched from a show rabbit feed to a standard rabbit pellet to cut costs). We will never skimp on feed quality again!
Contaminated food wow.
That’s horrible. I hope your Rabbitry has continued with new breeders. Thanks for sharing.
I hope you put a written complaint in. They should pay for the rabbits!
Hi..... Thank you 🎥👍👍👍
Thanks Bob!
At last, another post!
Ha! I'm so glad you look forward to them. It means a lot. I'll keep them coming. Let me know if there's a topic you'd like covered. I'll gladly put something together for you.
@@TheRabbitryCenter You welcome!
No questions for now, but I will definitely keep you informed, if I've got any aspect I need you to clarify. Thanks!
Please use non-latex gloves - as a former pharmacy employee who used latex gloves on a daily basis until I became allergic to them, I recommend nitrile gloves. Latex allergies can be severe. Avoid it when you can and enjoy it (birthday parties - balloons) when you should. It sucks not to be able to go to parties with latex balloons.

Can you do a first time rabbit Bayer video? Like how to do a basic exam and what to look for, what questions to ask, major red flags, what you need have before you bring one home, Ect. We are looking starting to do rabbits and have zero experience and nobody around us has experience either. I've been picking up peices from your videos, but I would like to make sure I'm picking up the correct information for beginners.
This might help

Thanks for all your content Bobby, it’s been invaluable during my journey with my small rabbitry! I wondered if you had any advice for abscesses? I am currently dealing with one and it seems to be an uphill battle (or I just don’t have the time to commit to the proper healing process). Any information would be appreciated.
is it a fly strike like a bot fly larvae? google the rabbitry center botfly larvae/ an abscess may need to be drained. apply a warm compress and clean with soap and water regularly and keep checking until it dries up. best of luck. you can find more helpful first aid products in our storefront. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!!! Thanks for the very helpful and practical information.
Coccidiosis, how often do you use it do you use in water? Thanks somuch my friend 🥰👍
Thank you for so many information. It would be very useful for saving many rabbit lifes. Nice.
Please, where can I get the links?
Thank you

I think nursing a rabbit back might only be advisable if they're a rare or uncommon breed. I have cinnamons, and they're not the easiest to find, so when I had one with coccidiosis, we blamed the free range chickens, and treated her. Foe the rex, I likely wouldn't have gone that far
Thanks for sharing!
I found my resting tile was giving my Harlequin s sore hocks as they would urinate on it. They don't have much fur on there hocks. Great info thanks for sharing. 👍🥰👍
Good I fo, thanks
You’re very welcome!
I keep things on my cameras until I have made a copy. After I download to my computer and am done with editing I put the original footage and edited product on my 1 TB drive. Post online at that time and remove from my cameras then. I had a camera crash once but only lost a little bit of footage because my husband had it saving to the camera hard drive and not the removable disk.
I’m glad you didn’t lose all your files. I have since bought a new hard drive and I’m taking precautions to make sure that can’t happen again. Hopefully it works
Thankyou this video is AMAZING
Thank you for saying that- it means a lot-stay tuned for more rabbit videos
Thank you for your time and effort. I have an aggressive female (all the time) any suggestions? We're petting her when she's cornered but it doesn't seem to help. 👍🤟🤪
You're so welcome. Aggressive behavior needs to be stopped immediately. If your rabbit just kindled and bites she protecting her litter and just wants some privacy. Be sure to always take her so dandelions or some lettuce to munch on to distract her. Never correct your rabbit with a swat of the hand. You want them to like your hands not fear them. When your rabbit bites it's usually an act of dominance. Rabbits communicate by pinning the subordinate rabbits. Show her that your the big bunny in charge by firmly pressing on her shoulders after she bites and say NO! Pin and hold until your rabbit stops wiggling. Repeat until the biting stops. You're telling them in rabbit language that you are the big bunny in charge and they need to listen or get pinned. Here's a video showing more. ruclips.net/video/z87T4Ebm2oY/видео.html
@@TheRabbitryCenter I've been watching your videos for nearly 2 years and plan to start meat raising. But there's still so much to know, it's overwhelming.
All digital content should be backed up on 3 different devices (one in the cloud) and in 3 different locations. You should not only be concerned with a crashing hard drive but also theft and fire, hence 3 locations. Hope this helps.
Is a Standerd rex cross mini rex a good idea
If you want your dwarfs to be a little bigger and your standard Rex’s to be a little smaller somewhere in between then that cross would work
5:25 is that bobby jr
It's cheaper and more cost effective to remove and replace the bun.
Certainly can be costly and that Rabbit may never be what it once was
At my rabbitry my older mama ,Cardi, likes to start weaning her kits at 3 weeks. I believe its because I move them to the growout box once they start being noticeably weaned and Cardi can't stand being in the nursery hutch for too long haha they literally will gangup on her trying to latch on and she has to toss them off 🤣
My rabbits lay down alot so they are off their feet. But i do keep a tile for them to lay on if necessary.
A resting board of any sort is very much appreciated I’m sure
@@TheRabbitryCenter only 1 of my 5 will use it at all. And right now he's more interested in one of my does.
Good evening Bobby my name is Larry Patterson from the state of Washington and I have had a rabbitry for 2 years now. And you seem to be the person out there with the most information and I can't figure out what this is my New Zealand Flemish mix buck is licking or pruning his hips so much that his fur is matted terribly. Have you heard of this and if so what could it be I use diatomaceous earth to no avail.
He may have fur mites a couple drops of ivermectin should take care of it
What kind of plastic did you use on the rabbit cages?
50‘ x 36“ plastic even a thin 4ml plastic Will stay up there all winter and do its job I just roll it up and discard it in the spring. it’s pretty cheap Amazon.to/32SBDi9
If you cull for one of the three reasons you say in the beginning, are they safe for humans to eat or even feed to dogs?
It’s been some time since I’ve launched this video. Which three reason?
@@TheRabbitryCenter Thanks so much for replying. I won't even begin to try to spell them all. That is so much harder. Instead, I will just cite it here, at 1:49 where you name them.
Thanks again! I really enjoy your informative videos. I believe your in-ground tubs for litters would also be very good to help keep them cool in our Mojave desert where we can easily hit 117 or more in the summer. Wild rabbits survive in it, so you know they have to be burrowing. No way to survive otherwise.
hi. how do you apply the ivermectin?
There’s topical- there’s shots -there’s oral medicine however you like you can buy it at TSC or our storefront www.amazon.com/shop/therabbitrycenter?listId=19MK6YACHY26S
Thanks
Quick question... I've seen your recommended book list on raising rabbits but if you'd recommend just ONE, for someone who is new to this and want to raise them on pasture, which book would you recommend? :-)

Thanks! :-)
Hi what hay grass dd u feed ur rabbits? From Philippines 😊
Orchard hay
What's your opinion on mixing diatomaceous earth into the pellets? I used to do it for my dogs and they never had gut or skin issues. I know rabbits have not sensitive guts tho so didn't know if this was a good idea
It's food grade so it's edible and will work as a probiotic.
Can you still eat the rabbits if they've had medications?
In most cases it’s the rabbits that are fryers (12 weeks old )that are getting Processed which will have no medications but if you had an older rabbit that would be considered a broiler and would need to be slow cooked I wouldn’t eat the liver but the meat should be fine
I have a standard Rex buck and a mini Rex doe if I breed them will the doe have trouble giving birth
When breeding two different size breeds -Id make the mama the larger breed and the buck the smaller breed for kindling.
In your case, Seeing that it’s a medium breed not a giant and those kits will be 50% dwarf I would bet the kindling would go just fine.
Let me know how it turns out
