      Do u blame Trump for not trusting a Biden DOJ background? Give me a break. it was Mayorkas in charge of Trump's security when he was almost assasinated, twice.

    Love how Republicans have to resort to laws from 200 years ago that are outdated but hey you can't get elected without people being ignorant of basic functions like tariffs (which costs us more at store not the country making the product)

      kind of a weird argument really, we have plenty of good laws from 200 years ago, laws against murder, kidnapping, assault, ect

      @unitedwestand5205 hence why "200 years ago that are outdated" was in my comment. Recess appointments without confirmation was a thing when horse and buggy and telegrams weren't fast enough to allow government to operate and yet now we have cars and planes so the use of an outdated law to avoid accountability and the normal transitional rules and laws is beyond ridiculous.

      Recess appointments were how the executive checked the Senate when the Senate used procedural moves to prevent an up or down vote on the Presidents nominees. If the Senate didn't like it all they had to do was have a vote. The Senate started doing these ridiculous "Pro Forma" sessions in 2007 to block Bush's appointees. They are a Constitutional abomination. Congress is in recess. Everyone knows they are in recess. One person banging a gavel ever 10 days doesn't make congress in session.
      Pro Forma sessions are very similar to the long since agreed Unconstitutional "silent filibuster" once employed by the House. Where members of the house would refuse to call present when the roll was taken. The minority argued that without a quorum, because members were not calling themselves present, no vote could be taken. Eventually this bullshit was shot down because they were present, everyone knew they were present, and refusing to call present didn't mean no quorum was present.

    Recess appointments were created when we rode horses, before trains. It could take a month to get back to congress. These appointments are ridiculous!

      Exactly.

      Even Obama did recess appointments. Trump could just leave the position vacant and appoint a "Czar" to make the orders. Trump can command everyone who serves beneath his cabinet picks.

      @@SuperBlobsterMan The recess appointments were when congress were actually in recess and not because a wannabe dictator has power to ram these people down our collective throats. You guys want a king.

    First of all 81M people did vote him yes but that means 250M didn't that is hardly a MANDATE! Neither of the parties got even 50% of the vote. I'm not saying he didn't win i know he did but you people need to learn math and what it means for election numbers

    • @dtaylor939

      It is a mandate

    • @SuperBlobsterMan
      @SuperBlobsterMan 3 дня назад

      It is a mandate. Trump won all of this year’s seven battleground states - Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Among five of the tightest elections since 2000, Trump won the seven closest states in 2024 by particularly wide margins. Trump finished with the 7th highest share of the vote for an out-of-power party's nominee since 1932.

    how can yo say you have a mandate when you get less than 50 percent of the vote? more people voted against you than for you...
