I really learn to train my hearing to the note in every Tomo lesson, from roots, major third, fifth and seventh. Long way to go but fun upgrade to my note understanding.
Just discovered this channel information is just intellectual enough to be approachable while still keeping me engaged and in love with guitar, Thank you Tomo.
Hi Tomo, your free lessons have done alot for my playing.. when I get enough time to study harder I will pay for your lessons, as I feel they are the best approach to a better understanding of the guitar.. way to go Tomo. Dale
So happy to hear that! My subscription video lessons are more detail! If you want to learn something more solid, then you can join my Guitar Wisdom. Thank you!
Thank you, Tomo. You're such a great teacher. I really feel like grabbin my guitar and follow what you're doing, and actually get to see what it is you're teaching. These past couple weeks i've been practicing the 4 shapes you showed in other videos for the 7th arpeggios. It's cool to follow along the exercises and sneak in some improvisation from time to time just to get make sense of it in a natural way. I get really frustrated with other people's videos when they spend 85% of the time talking numbers and explaining things with no music or playing in sight. So thanks again, i really enjoy your content.
Tomo - you are a wonderful instructor (and a killer player)! I really enjoy all your content and learn so much from you - still play like a rookie - but try to extract nuggets from each of your videos. Just want to say thank you.
Thank you Tomo. I waited until today to practice this lesson this whole weekend. Thanks to your traids lessons (and everything else) on guitar wisdom my playing completely changed and my songwriting and my improv improved so much. I never thought I could do it.
That’s awesome. that fuzz line sounds lie what i expected fusion to sound like when I was a kid and someone told me what fusion was but I hadn’t yet had my mind blown by On the Corner.
Damn, Tomo, you're making it harder and harder for me to not get that Guitar Wisdom course. I learn so much from every one of your videos! You really are a very gifted teacher.
I’m subscribed and I need your input!!!! I ordered the Silver Sky SE in January, but it’s backordered til November now!! I got impatient and bought a regular Silver Sky - and I love it. BUT, I know you’ve played both. I have a month where I can return the Silver Sky, and just wait for the SE to come out. Is the original worth the 3x price of the SE? Or should I save the money? Love the channel!!!
Thank you! Great stuff as always 👏 I like to record and the guitar I have is Washburn j6,Montgomery so jazz style. I also want to record more pop, but this is only nice sounding guitar I have. Would you go for this guitar as well and just let plug in do the work ( fender similation) or buy/ rent a guitar motor suitable for pop? I mean you would always here it in the recording or do you think software is getting better to get some hooks in a pop track? Thank you
If you still have time , what is your opinion of why Jimi tuned downed half step , I truly believe it is because he played so much with piano players and they always play in B flat. tune down keep all the same positions ?
If you listen "Red House" from In The West... Jim knows so much theory! Playing those 7th inversions perfectly! That song taught me that 7th inversions theory!
@@Mr.Owl9 I don't know real reasons .... but maybe it just happened without a tuning folk and someone enjoy that tone, enjoy that loose feeling. Its all good!
as someone who watches a lot of guitar lessons on RUclips. When weird effects and pedals are used it's really distracting for the lessons for me anyway. A clean tone makes it a lot easier to follow along.
Not to criticize, Tomo-san but the pedal sounds were kind of jarring and the delay kind of obscures the actual sound of the arpeggios -especially for people who haven't really been introduced to what major/minor arps sound like (i'm ok because i am somewhat familiar). i assume you want to introduce a little change in your content from video to video but this was sonically annoying, to be honest, LOL. then again, that is just my opinion - music, like any art form, is subjective. Arigatou goseimasu, Tomo-san!
Was just about to comment the same. I've really struggled to listen easily to the note/chord tones because of this. I don't like it and it spoiled the lesson for me. It might be my hearing but I just can't recognise or associate the notes.
Just subscribed! Love your guitar wisdom and RUclips channel!

Loving that tone!
Thank you!
i haven't had that album since I was 15, Wow!!!
Wow!
Incredible teaching bro
Thanks so much!
TRIADS!!! How long should you practice triads? Is an hour too long? I’ve been doing the 3 levels for 2 and a half weeks now.
That's too long! 15-30 minutes top! Everything takes 2 weeks to 90 days!
Beautiful music…
Glad you like it!
By the way, Thank You so much for your Channel, keep pushing the triads
You're welcome! John Mayer also after asked me more triad lessons!
@@TomoFujitaMusic Oh shit that's funny , I wonder if Jimi asked Curtis for triad lessons?
@@Mr.Owl9 More triads, CAGED, Double Stops... fun lessons!

Thanks so much! I just ordered some recording gears! Plug in... For basic recording. These are so fine!
I love arpeggio lessons
Thank you!
I love you tomo ❤️
Thank you!
luckily I am a student of you too... Thank you so much for your time
Glad to hear that! Thank you!
If you still have time , what is your opinion of why Jimi tuned downed half step , I truly believe it is because he played so much with piano players and they always play in B flat. tune down keep all the same positions ?
The tone is different & feel is different. I have one guitar always tuned in 1/2 step to a whole step down for that sound. I don't think that.
If you listen "Red House" from In The West... Jim knows so much theory! Playing those 7th inversions perfectly! That song taught me that 7th inversions theory!
@@TomoFujitaMusic I agree but why tune down if not to make it easier to play with jazz and boogie in the chittlin circuit as he did when younger

@@TomoFujitaMusic HA HA HA HA ... oh shit ...you are a wonderful Sensei...Thank You for your time
what are your thoughts on this john meyer , he seems funny but he's not ...how you say ...he's boring ?
He is a super fun guy! John is so awesome on guitar & song writing!
The ear is your guide when you learn. Move your body ☺️
Thank you!
Do you have any albums of just solo guitar?
NOT YET!
Peaches!
Good music has 4321
does matt schofield use them?
YES! He does very unique way!
Is there a reason you use 12th fret 2nd string instead of 7th fret 3rd string in the major 3rd arpeggio for F major 7?
That's A... not Major 3rd for F...
Choices
@@TomoFujitaMusic Cool. As long as it is not a wrist bending and pinky stretching exercise. :) You're the best.
