I went to the memorial at his high school just a couple of days ago this past Saturday. Getting to walk around a bit on the very court which he played, seeing the large screen print of him on the gym wall tinted in the school colors, the banners that honor his contribution to the years he played, and then looking at the reveal of his high school jersey hanging on the wall. It was a lot to take in, but it was a must to pay my respects for the man in such a way at the Bryant Gymnasium. You will be forever missed, Kobe. #MambaForever

He attracted a crowd wherever he went, even back then. We played him that year, Norristown High verse Lower Marion. They took the game 75 to 70. Kobe had half his teams points. I watched that game in person. TIMELESS MEMORIES.

Kobe was THE Philly role model we lost to LA! We lost a legend to an organization that took EXCEPTIONAL care of one of our own. He repaid you with (As tears roll down this Marine's face) five...FIVE NBA Championships!!! He fostered the "Mamba Mentality" and the Laker Nation grew to love him.
RIP Kobe and Gianna! Philly, LA and the WORLD lost a role model!

Some people come to this shitty world and inspires people by doing their thing with passion they have done hard things to do and arrived to good places kobe was one of them when I was 9 yo at 2010 my uncle was watching the tv at nights he was so hyped I recognized basketball at those times a mans name speakers was shouting the name was kobe and he was doing crayz things not his team but he was doing very good at that season lakers won the championship aganist celtics I was stunned while watching such good players like paul pierce kg rondo and ray allen kobe was leading the team that it beat celtics which it was best team at that times and when they won the championship at game 7 kobe become my hero at that season then I learned more about kobe he was ambitious and his mentality impressed me and changed me I am not a baller but I feel the hunger of wining every challange that approachs me weird but he was a factor that shaped my character and when I heard bad news about him I didn't even believed it was night I saw a dream he was shining after that night I saw the news in tv and I felt devestated my knees become numb and I cried I cried for a week when I think about him and I didn't take take the truth that he was gone for months still feeling burnings in my lungs when I see or hear about him I lost a bigger brother that I was never met rest in heaven mamba I will always love you
