Hi Paul stayed in a deluxe room there in July, room was fantastic as it was in the new block, had my phone stolen when i was out heading back from the strip asked if I could use a phone at this hotel to ring my phone provider to block the phone, no help whatsoever would not let me, and could not find a public phone anywhere in Benidorm staff in hotel totally useless as you could imagine I was not happy 😂 keep up the good work Paul👍
I've posted on numerous occasions about solo travellers being unfairly treated..from single supplements, being put in hotels crap rooms they wouldn't let out too couples etc..Also I think some of us are very reluctant to complain for whatever reason .We all work damn hard to enjoy our holiday or short breaks away to accept rubbish service etc..I won't stay in Levante Hotel Club and Spa.. The thing is how many people have had this done to them and put up with it.. I.m glad you brought this to people"s attention Paul, the hotel is at it. Scamming comes to mind. ..You nearly got robbed again, and the state of that room was disgusting ,and if well known travel companies are advertising that place..say no more.

Hi Paul, right I stayed there in June a single occupancy just 2 nights . I checked in at the reception and was told I’m in the hotel behind that’s owned by them and fully refurbished. I had booked room with kitchenette so was given an apartment . I was bit worried that this point and the man on reception said I will take you too the room. We walked out the hotel by the pool and towards the newly built pool and refurbished hotel . They were still working on the hotel painting etc but that was fine by me, I was on 4th floor and when we walked into the room I was shocked , the room was amazing , kitchen area , lounge area with sofa , big double bed and large bathroom everything looked brand new ! I think I paid 180€ for 2 nights bed and breakfast . I had really good experience the new pool is quiet and tucked away at the back with plenty of new sun loungers. Me and friend did have similar Experience at the ambassador ended up in lowdown room over the restaurant but we didn’t complain but I wish we had. 👍😀
Hi Paul I've stayed there in 2022 when benicon was on I payed for all inclusive and I was refused drinks said I have to pay for them when I had conformation to prove i was all in the management said i have to pay to upgrade for 50€ a day i said no i was there a week going out eating every night when i payed for it in hotel I wasn't only one that it happened to I managed to get a full refund by the hotel after i took it further i hope you get your money back Paul
Hi Paul, definitely a Piss take on this occasion, I would suggest you ask them for the complaints book. they have to give it to you and then they are required by Spanish law to show up at court and explain themselves they hate this as it can be a fine plus if everyone starts doing this they are held accountable and lose time and money "complaints book"!! good luck!
I alwsys travel solo and sometimes i pay £200 more as a solo traveller with jet 2 and tui . Even in a single room , irs so wrong and something needs doing about it x

Absolutely right, Single lady traveller here, I'm fed up with given the worst room because I'm alone. I'm not putting up with it again, Love my Holidays if you get my meaning. Benidorm Sol Pelicanos and Puerto de la Cruz Tenerife Hotel Marte, I pay extra and still get the worst room. They just won't listen, you get scared you'll be thrown out for complaining. I never know what I'm going to get but it's never good,
I had a lovely double room in Monaco Sandos. No problems apart from having to pay for use of the indoor pool which wasn't very deep. Food, staff, location, entertainment, room - all excellent! Just one other niggle - hotel corridor was a bit dark. But great on the whole!

Just ridiculous,same thing happened to me yesterday in Marmaris but I got moved to what I booked a superior ,high floor pool view,feel for you hope you get back home without any hazzle
Stayed there several years ago - never again - my 76 yr old mother took seriously ill in the restaurant (heart failure) - no assistance from any member of staff whatsoever - people were clambering over her to get to the chips and lousy food - my mother had vomited and soiled herself the smell was horrific - they wouldn’t call a doctor until we paid immediately £200 and gave them a copy of our insurance - as it was meal time not 1 lift available so hubby had to run up 10 flights of stairs to our room - I actually thought he was going to need the ambulance more than my mother 😮 Thankfully my mother had heart surgery in The Lavante hospital and lived for a few more years. I can laugh about it now but at the time it was awful - the hotel were dreadful and offered zero assistance during the whole ordeal. What a shower of sh1t they are. 😳
Thanks for the video.Not sure why but have noticed a few times in Spain they seem to think its acceptable to lie to you about products and servicesHave come across it several times myself .Not sure they have trading standards over there.They actually lied to you there twice in saying they were full and every room has a pool view.Both blatent bare face lies!

Aw Paul your recent Benidorm trip had been a nightmare 😕 I can't believe that a non vacant room can just magically appear when you pay €30 more! That's shocking service. And I agree as a solo traveller we get treated poorly, it's not fair or right. Had to laugh though at your alopecia comment 😂 Don't blame you for not reviewing it and judging by the customer service I wouldn't go near it 😂
As a solo traveler my experience is that hotels tend to give me some of the least favorable rooms, despite not being fully booked at the time. This happens especially if you only stay one night. Most hotels have different types of rooms, some older and worn others refurbished and modern. Which room you get can be random, but if you are a member you often get a better room. Recommend contacting the hotel 2-3 days before arrival.
Contact them and say what? Do you really think a phonecall from Sheffield to Benidorm from little old me a few days before will make any difference - Why should that be necessary? Surely you should just get what you paid for without hassle and expense. Get real.
@@kamlapiano Be nice at the front desk and ask if they can find you something - quiet, safe, more spacious or whatever you need to be happy. The desk people often have a good bit of power and they appreciate being treated well Call ahead on the phone - again be nice. If you get someone unhelpful or if you are shunted off to a call center try again getting back to the property itself
Always been a bugbear of mine. When you book your holiday and pay for an upgrade you’ve no way of knowing if the hotel is giving you what you booked with the travel agent. It’s time travel companies were held accountable.

Another one that I won't stay in after watching this video. I can remember when we booked our first trip to Tenerife. We had paid for a pool/sea view room. The first room they gave us was in the corner of a ground-floor balcony room with nothing but a blank wall to look onto. Anyone could have jumped over our balcony, so we didn't feel safe at all. The second room wasn't much better, so we reluctantly paid extra for a sea view and pool view right in the middle of the hotel on a high floor. Thanks for sharing this with us. Let's hope the management has watched your video. I would love to be a fly on the wall! 😅
Pity that ladder wasn't closer - you could've used it to climb down to see the pool you'd paid to view. To be fair even without the solar panels you wouldn't have seen the pool because of the flat rooves the panels are on. It isn't, and never was, a pool view room.
Hope you get your refund . Currently in Spain , slightly off topic but had an awful experience hiring a car . Again the agent I dealt with in Alicante was abysmal. Starting to feel this anti tourist feeling is real

yeah theyve put the single traveller in any old spare room , we found the staff to be alkward , unwilling to fix things and make it right , had strong words with the front desk staff myself
We're at The Don Pancho Hotel right now and had looked at the Lavante club and spa, so glad I didn't go there. I feel so sad for you as nobody deserves to be treated like that, it's disgraceful.
I think i stayed there about 11 years ago i think it was called the Levante beach it was next door to tha Flamingo oasis did get a pool view but it was very noisy due to hen and stag parties going on,have also stayed in the Flamingo oasis that was lovely.

Every business in Spain has a complaints book it should be on view for everyone to see ASK FOR THE COMPLAINTS BOOK .Write in your own language what your complaint is ..... BEFORE YOU GET TO WRITE YOUR PROBLE. WILL. BE SOLVED

Paul i'm a sole traveler and all way's book a twin room or a double room for my self were evey i go on hoilday. And i all way's have this proplem ! Thay all way's try and throw you in a s#*t room if thay can. .

Fully booked ? Pay 30 euros they can move you. I agree with you, single travellers often end up with a cupboard or a so called room which is less desirable. Hope rest of your trip pans out .
Never been to Benidorm so I have not stayed at the levante hotel and spa and based on how you were treated would not I would choose the hotel used in the comedy series solana resort

I think I know some people who stayed there a few years ago and recommended the hotel. After seeing this video I would not go there. Where is the customer service? I am often a solo traveller, and sometimes feel like I am a second class citizen even though often paying through the nose for a broom cupboard!

Me and nigel stayed there a few years ago...in fact we have stayed there a few times and enjoyed it...but I must say the last time everything seemed to have been a bit neglected and worn..it should not be rated 4 * superior. We stay in the hotel colon 3 * and it great..and the view is amazing. Hope you get some money back off that booking...its a disgrace. Take care & stay safe ❤
That woman who refused to change your room, I wonder who trained her for her job because good customer service is key for return custom and good online reviews, so she has done absolutely nothing for the reputation of the levante Club Hotel and Spa in Benidorm that she works at. I don't think her manager would be very pleased, she sounds hopeless and seriously needs re-trained for her job.

Maybe single travellers are given poor rooms for the odd night I don’t know. I went with Tui for a week and my experience was totally different. Lovely room with a pool view and excellent food so in my experience it is a great hotel for a holiday.
Paul I must admit it is rubbish for a 4star. And it's dirty as well. I certainly agree with you Paul, it is a rip off. You have certainly had a week of it, being robbed then a rip off hotel having ago. Bet you cannot wait to get home and relax, will do you good. Xx

Hope you may try Benidorm Plaza that was on Channel 5 series just ask for a high floor pool view like I did when I stopped at Rialto 5 years ago had such first class treatment you should try that hotel as well.

I'm off to Benidorm Soon. I was looking at that Hotel. But not now. You did not get what you paid for. Disgraceful the way you were treated.
Paul i'm a sole traveler and all way's book a twin room or a double room for my self were evey i go on hoilday. And i all way's have this proplem ! Thay all way's try and throw you in a s#*t room if thay can. .

Omg that's shocking and yep a total rip off, I will never use this hotel cos of the way you've been treated and yep you could see on other sites there was actually rooms they could have moved you too, you're too smart for em 👍shame on this hotel, that's terrible customer service.

I don't blame you for being upset about the pool view. That hotel is obviously mislabeled. It actually sounds like a scam. I would sleep on the beach before staying there.
Fully booked ? Pay 30 euros they can move you.
I agree with you, single travellers often end up with a cupboard or a so called room which is less desirable.

Never been to Benidorm so I have not stayed at the levante hotel and spa and based on how you were treated would not I would choose the hotel used in the comedy series solana resort

I think I know some people who stayed there a few years ago and recommended the hotel. After seeing this video I would not go there. Where is the customer service? I am often a solo traveller, and sometimes feel like I am a second class citizen even though often paying through the nose for a broom cupboard!
I would poop in the corner of every available space before leaving.

What a disgrace....yep total rip off.
Me and nigel stayed there a few years ago...in fact we have stayed there a few times and enjoyed it...but I must say the last time everything seemed to have been a bit neglected and worn..it should not be rated 4 * superior.
We stay in the hotel colon 3 * and it great..and the view is amazing.
Hope you get some money back off that booking...its a disgrace.

That woman who refused to change your room, I wonder who trained her for her job because good customer service is key for return custom and good online reviews, so she has done absolutely nothing for the reputation of the levante Club Hotel and Spa in Benidorm that she works at. I don't think her manager would be very pleased, she sounds hopeless and seriously needs re-trained for her job.

Maybe single travellers are given poor rooms for the odd night I don’t know. I went with Tui for a week and my experience was totally different. Lovely room with a pool view and excellent food so in my experience it is a great hotel for a holiday.

Hi there Paul such disgraceful treatment from that hotel hope you got some compensation or even moved to another hotel. Hope you may try Benidorm Plaza that was on Channel 5 series just ask for a high floor pool view like I did when I stopped at Rialto 5 years ago had such first class treatment you should try that hotel as well.
