- A couple of pulls in my freshly swapped 2JZ-GTE powered 1991 Nissan 240SX.

Just swapped in an SR but damn the 2JZ sounds so much better

same here, i just finished my swap but im already planning for a 1j or 2j swap lol
We busy building a forged SR20 to swop out the CA18 stock that we have just rebuilt. Got the motor at a absolute bargan. Also slowly building a 2JZ into our other 13. From videos I have seen that SR20 is much lighter than the 2jz. I worry my son is going to pull away from me around the race track LOL. Petrol heads Salute.

@@lordoftherims436 I actually imported a GTE Aristo motor Last year I’m just getting to doing the cam seals valve seals front and rear mains and timing belt going to run the stock Aristo computer with the maf in the charge tube With my stock cummins HE341 Turbo for now and this winter I will be taking the GTE rods and pistons out for my NA motor And going all out with a Borg Warner S369SXE that I have sitting in a box That I was originally going to put on my cummins I ended up going with an S467.7FMW with an s488 Atmospheric charger

How did you get the Nissan Speedometer to work (Fuel,RPM,Speed,Coolant Temp)?

You need to crack open the cluster and wire it from it to the sensor (coolant temp) rpm if you got a stand-alone the ecu has a specific wire for it!

quick questions: what's the difference between the ms3 and ms3 pro? how did you tune the vvti? and what's the difference between the bws366 and the one u have? thanks in advance
MS3 and MS3 Pro: lot's of differences. I would check their website for a comparison chart. Tuning VVTi would be a question best answered by your tuner. The BWS366 series is ball bearing, I believe. Mine is a journal bearing 63mm (S363) turbo.
The wheel spin you get at 1:05 is kinda scary... And you said youre at about 350 whp? It aint no slouch but thats not too much either.... what do you attribute your spin problems too? Obviously spin will always exist if your car puts down any serious power but that seemed like a lot.
Well, most of my issue was bald tires. I've since put on 265s on the rear and the car hooks up much better!

How much did this swap cost altoghether? wanting to find a clean shell and do a 2jz swap hitting 600whp....not sure if my budget is big enough though.
I'm doing a 2jzgte swap into a 1991 s13 240sx right now. If you want to do the swap you better have close to 12 to 15 grand if you want 600+ WHP also depending on what trans, rear end, and engine management you use.

+GreenCR21 it's hard to say, but you should easily have 6-8k saved up for motor, trans, mounts, driveshaft, and ECU if oyou plan to make 600whp

No, I removed the stock upper intake manifold and throttle body and replaced it with a traditional 2JZ-GTE plenum. You can make the OEM TBW system work by removing the mechanical parts that only allow the TBW throttle body to open 50%, essentially turning it into a plain old throttle body.

Well I've been looking to do a similar swap in my coupe. And haven't really seen a lot of,people use the vvti 2j. The price is what had me looking for people's opinions who own them. More videos please lol

People who say non vvti is better dont know anything about engine mechanics! The vvti system only has benefits. 99% of the aftermarket ecus can take care of your variable valve timing system:) 2jzgtevvti block is just as strong, same part numbers for pistons, rods etc. Just swapped a 2jzgtevvti in my mk3. Very happy with it

I purchased mine through an importer based out of Miami. They run about 2000-2400 for a motor, harness and automatic trans which you will promptly throw out :)
Just interesting, why you choose R154? Automatic trans A341E is much faster especially if shift-kit installed and much much more reliable.
