@RCDoDlO DMO's one is front wheel drive running an St engine. Just because it has big power doesn't make it better infact his looks a right bitch to drive torque steering the front dragging the front all over the place. This has a v8 and rear wheel drive which in my opinion makes it better in every way including from and engineering standpoint. Plus these guys built it they didn't have someone else build it for them like most of these other RUclipsrs with their wallets that don't know one end of a spanner from the other 💁♂️
Ultimate work tool! I love how the plate flaps on the front… I done the same thing about 15years ago with my tuned up moped the L plate would cover licence plate as soon as I took off!

I always wanted to get a mk1 or 2 transit and do a supervan copy big v8 rwd mk1 van with escort mk1 bubble arches and a gt40 engine and chassis grafted into original supervan 1 supervan 2 was a shortened fibreglass body id class this lovely wild transit SUPERVAN 4 AS SAME BASICS A TRANSIT WITH V8 REAR WHEEL DRIVE POWER great build
If this RUclips thing does well I have a sneaky suspicion we’ll have a go at recreating a supervan 👌🏽

So what engine and gearbox and propshaft and rear diff is in this van
Engine was a 3.5 V8 when this was filmed. It’s got a 4.4 in it now though. Gearbox is a BMW 6 speed, custom made prop, and welded diff
Other than swapping the rails did u have to cut the fire wall to get it in ? I've got mk6 rear wheel and thinking of doin something like this cheers
Yeah bit of chopping to do in there. The chassis legs was more for getting the suspension/wheels to fit

Although to be less of a killjoy it would be good to mid mount an engine and use a Audi gearbox/ transaxle from a 4 litre TDI fwd mounted at back....
I saw a cosworth V8 dfv somewhere for about £10k....

There’s so many possibilities of what you can put in where and having a bit of fun doing it, well mostly fun but also a few headaches!
What engine other than a 2.2 engine can I put in my?mk7 as I am sick of replacing the engines and who can do me the conversion.
Depends what you want out of it? We built ours for drifting and messing about in. Wouldn’t recommend the same engine if you’re after fuel economy and long lasting tyres!
@@avin_the_crack somebody told me I could have a BMW N57 engine also I’m serious I know this wouldn’t be cheap but it’s a campervan and I’ve had the van years spent a fortune on it would rather put an engine like that in and have the best of both worlds not interested in how much fuel it uses just curious how much the conversion would cost?

Stick the m60b40 in there I guarantee you won't regret it. If that's what it's like with a 535 v8 trust me put a 4.0 in there lol. I've got the 4.0 in my e30 they're night and day different

@@avin_the_crack Don't bother trust me the 4.4 makes no more horse power than the 4.0 and just 15 ftlbs more well documented they make the same. Wierd germans take steps backwards on some things.
You want the m60 for its dual row timing chain and chain set (m62 has single row chain with silly U bend plastic chain guid instead of a twin row teethed sprocket), more aggressive cams with higher lift, better flowing head, better flowing inlet manifold. Bullet proof man seriously. I did my homework before i did the swap on my e30 bigger isnt always beter with German stuff 😎
By the way I'm not disrespecting the build. I love it 😁 And I love a v8 😁💪
We’ve got the 4.4 lying around so no need to go searching for a 4L. We like to make use of what we’ve got before parting with cash 😂

The next phase for my e30 is to pull the engine appart and build a hybrid frankenstien version using the best bits of each engine
So 4.4 block, rods and pistons for the extra displacement. 4.0 heads, inlet and throttle body fir the better flow and aggression and the dual row chain set for the strength 💪

It's unwise to video drifting etc on the roads, occasionally police ban people or worse for mad driving....
And as poster of the video if you refuse to identify the driver etc they do you for obstruction.
It's rare but can happen.
Put something like " filmed on a closed road" etc to cover your self.....
