I'm a former optician, I'm now retired. So It sounds like you may have started out wearing glasses as a trendy fashion accessory maybe even before you ever needed glasses. In my early days as an optician I saw a number of young ladies that wanted glasses but didn't need them. Some even tried to fool the doctor into prescribing them glasses. I can't say for sure if some were able to do it or not but I do know hat he caught several attempting that. I had several professional ladies that got glasses as non-prescription. I remember a very attractive young lady that was a flight attendant and she wanted glasses to detour male passengers hitting on her. She thought by wearing glasses she would be less attractive to them. She came back in a few moths after getting her glasses, which by the way cost her over $350..00 out of pocket. She needed her glasses adjusted because they had become a bit loose. As I was adjusting them for her i asked her if wearing glasses had helped with the over attention she was getting and she said it didn't help at all. She said she actually got so many complements on how good she looked wearing glasses from her friends and co-workers that she decided to keep waring them. About a year later she came in for an eye exam and she was prescribed glasses. Just a weak prescription. The doctor knew how much she spent on her non-prescription glasses that he wrote her a weal prescription so her insurance would pay the biggest part of her glasses. I also had a couple young ladies come in that said their instructor had suggested that they should they should try to get glasses before going job hunting. They had just passed their exam to be paralegals and he felt they needed a more professional look that glasses would often provide. One of them did need glasses which she was quite surprised by because thought her eyesight was perfect. She was a little myopic, in other words nearsighted. The other girl didn't need glasses. They both were trying on glasses. Then they started trying on glasses in the "Buy One get One Free" section. As it turned out only the girl that needed glasses got glasses. She picked out 2 pairs from the two for one area. She came back in a few days later when her glasses were ready and i fitted her glasses for her. I told if they needed any adjusting to come back. Several months later they both came in together and they were both wearing glasses. They were each wearing a pair of the glasses that came from our Buy One get One Free area. Only the girl that didn't need glasses needed her glasses adjusted. As I was adjusting her glasses I noticed her squinting as she was looking at something across the room. I tightened the screws on both of the girls glasses. I asked them if they had both found jobs and they said they got jobs a few days after they got their glasses. I don't think they meant to say that to me. By the way if you're wondering the prescription of their glasses was only -.75. which is quite weak. But they both seemed uncomfortable without their glasses being on. I'm sure they both were wearing their glasses all the time so that would make them a bit dependent on their glasses.
Anyway were you having issues with reading that caused you to get your eyes examined or were you only going as a routine eye exam? After getting glasses how much were you wearing glasses? Were you wearing them more than just for reading small print? I'm surprised that you feel like you now need to start wearing them when driving at night. That means you most likely need them when driving day or night. It's just more noticeable to you when driving at night. Have you tried wearing your glasses when driving at night yet? If they help the you should be wearing them. Maybe even try wearing them several times to give your eyes a chance to adjust to them for night driving. When you first start wearing reading glasses your distance vision is usually quite blurry until your eyes get adjusted to them. Then you should be able to wear them for distance as well as for close up. Have you tried wearing your glasses fulltime to see how your eyes react? You look really good wearing glasses. In fact glasses seem to enhance your looks from your non glasses look. before watching your entire video i first went and checked out the Zeelool glasses you selected. I was only impressed with the "Sydney" pair because I'm such a big fan of the "cat-eye" style. But then watching you try them all on of course i loved how good you looked wearing the Sydney glasses but I liked all the rest as much as the Sydney glasses. You must have a really weak prescription because I wasn't able to see much of a prescription as you were changing from one pair to the next. Do you mind me asking what your prescription is. If you post that i will tell you what the numbers all mean. Have a great weekend and stay safe.
