I was a ride operator at this park for 2 years. The creator of this park was a former engineer for Knotts not Disney. In fact many of the props and decoration for the car ride are all pieces that used to be at Knotts.
The cars from the Antique Car Ride were originally used on The Gasoline Alley ride, which was at Knott's Berry Farm from 1969 to 1996. Gasoline Alley was closed, along with the Wacky Soap Box Racers, to make way for the short-lived Windjammer Surf Racers. Since 2002, Xcelerator has occupied the space but has been down since March 2022.
That first coaster used to go so fast and spin so crazy when it was first made, I was in middle school I think and my friends and I were like yoooo let’s try it!!! Now it looks embarrassing to be honest, thank you for posting this video!
My parents used to take my sisters and I over here when we were little at the end of the school year because you would take your report card and depending how good your grades were the more tickets you got to go on the rides. I haven't been here since 1996.
I use to work there in 89 & 90 as high school teenager. I noticed you didn’t go upstairs? There were more classic games up top & they did have a lower stairs (back then called the dungeon arcade) I assume the ride indoor that you went on, took that real estate away for older classic games.
I grew up in Riverside California went to Ramona high school off Magnolia in high school we used to always hang out at the castle that’s what we called it back in 1982 we’d go to the drive-in theater and then go to the castle it only had a few ride like the bumper boats had miniature golf had the arcade inside and I heard Knotts berry farm bought Castle Park Riverside not long after I left And went to Nevada but yeah back in the 80s the castle was cool it was the place to be lotta good memories with my bros and my hoe’s now I am much much older living in the central valley of California by Pismo Beach California I am a fire fighter of 33 years yes I grew up not by choice😂
Iiss castle park when I was a kid my pops would take us in the summer time it looks so different now with the new owners running the show back then it was always kept up no rider ever looked dull faded and old. It was fun back then
From what I’ve seen they’ve put some money into area around the log flume. Including repainting log flume and reopening it. hopefully that extends the rest of the park it just needs so much TLC
That log ride used to be the most popular until a family had a horrific accident on it possibly fatalities. So they closed it down and I don’t think it’s tan ever since
Believe it or not just the iPhone 13 Pro. The camera on it is amazing and sometimes you don’t need a fancy gigantic camera to get the job done. Although I am looking to upgrade my pure camera in the future but have pretty much not been using it this year since it’s not 4K
