- In this video, I am showing the build of my Simson Big Bore 110cc on a Simson M531/M541 engine casing. I have used a water-cooled Honda MBX cylinder. In this video, you see the build of it.

Hi guysss! Wanna see more videos from my Simson, let me know what you like?
Ich vermisse den 5. Gang Kollege😂
Mfg Rens
Great job well done.Rather reminded me of a rebuild I did (with help) on a badly blown up
Kawasaki H1 during my apprentice ship.Thats more than 40 years ago now,and I've never really been without a project ever since.Good luck.
Thank you :)
I am super impressed with this. I want to try the mtx130 big bore but cannot find any web pages about it as I do not know what to search for. I would imagine it would involve similar work.
Hello, what do you want to know exactly? Thanks for the interest and dont forget to subscribe ;)
@@teachingrtechnics8051 I want to know what calculations you need to make for the spacer. I have just got.a milling machine and think this would be a fun project!
@@james5553 Hello, that depends on a lot of factors. Such as the crankshaft stroke and cylinder port timings. You just need to experiment with prototype plates to match the cylinder on the engine. I know that a MTX has different timings and stroke. So I can't give you the exact dimensions, unfortunately. Hope this helped you a bit...
@Quirin M. Thank you!
Sound good well done
Thank you!
Hahahah thank you for your reply. Thanks for your feedback about the schaltgabel von die ziehkeilwelle. Didnt know that and drive with it without problems hahaah. But next time I change it :)
Bro put some light material un the holes of the crank with glue locktite because if u leave it like that your Nike is going to be vibrating and algo that reduces the precompression Camera and maje the bike faster
Collole Sache, was sagt der Prüfstand? 😅
This ammount of welding did not deform the engine case? I mean the bearings for the cranshaft are in level? What balance factor did you use?
PS.:i have the same weight scale 😄
No a special welding shop did weld the casing, We mounted old bearings inside the engine casing als a old crankshaft so the alignment keeps correct. The engine casings were warmed up to special temperature before welding and afther the welding the casings were cooled down slowly. Hope you know enough?
Nice vid. Did you fill the holes you made in the crankshaft (with duraluminium or something similar) to retain the crankcase compression ratio?
No I didnt do that, thats something from the past. In these days we just need more volume in the crankcase because the 2 stroke exhaust are better and suck in more gass and push it back into the cylinder. Thanks for watching!
Hello, did you have to change the connecting rod for 16mm piston pivot ?
Awesome project.
Im looking forward to your reply :)
Hello, thank you for you reply ;) The piston I used has a 12mm pivot. Its a polini 55mm piston for a watercooled Yamaha dt. So I didnt need to change the pivot or use another connecting rod. Thanks!
How was the balancing weight considered?
Thank you for your answer, it was considered based on knowledge from other people. But what I have read is that balancing a crankshaft depends on alot of things. Frame geometry, stroke, bore, angle from cylinder. So it is something that need to be tried out.
Bless
Thank you, blessings back!
Did you used 50% balance factor on crank?
I used a balance factor from 60%. Works perfectly no vibrations at all.
What do you use to calculate the expansion chamber?
Hello Matteo, a professional 2 stroke tuner made the calculations for it. He tolled me he based the dimensions on years of experience with 2 strokes. I think this is not the reaction that you where searching for... but hope it helped you a bit. You also can watch my other video of the build process of the exhaust, it is more in detail.
,,So viel Aufwand.
Thank you for you reaction, you have a little bit right. But the motor itself is still build from parts from Simson itself.
