thank you for this tutorial. I am praying about getting a sublimation printer. I see contradicting info.. and would love to know if I can do this. I will use DTF, DTF powder etc with sublimation ink
If you're using dark colors, then you will want to use a white background, but there are additional steps to that. If you decide to do that, do a little bit of research first. I have used white sublimation htv, but didn't come out the way I expected.
If I get creata fabrica and pay for the yearly subscription does that mean all the images that have a cost with them I can download because I will have that subscription?
My printer does not seem to want to print with sublimation ink - just sits on the DTF PAPER and looks blotchy. Also having trouble with it grabbing the paper. Any suggestions?
I'm sorry to hear that. You may need to play around with the settings. As for the paper, try taping it to a regular sheet of paper using printers tape. That should help.
@@mgcraftsandmore Is the Yamation powder "Medium?" Also, do you have a link for the gray mat? I just ordered one but it is for a circuit and not as cushy as yours. Thanks
Well, the knob is from 1-4, so i think 1 is between 150-200, 2 is 200-250, and so on. I need to find the booklet to make sure, but I've had to use the 1 setting so i don't scorch the dtf film.
This is a Tusy auto press, but I suggest you do some research. This one had only been out a couple months, and I'm constantly having issues. The seller did reimburse me 25% of the purchase price, but I wouldn't recommend this one.
❤hello good morning grateful to have found you! I see you did sublimation ink print with the DTF powder on to cotton! Did you do a wash test to see how it held up? I will be trying your hack! Looks super more better! 🥰

@@mgcraftsandmore How do tou remove the rollers?
I just used some needle nose pliers. They work great. Very easy.
New to your channel loved the video, they all came out great
Thank you so much. Welcome.😊
I had to use plain paper setting, so I don't get lines then I removed the rollers on one of my printers and it helped.
Thank you very much!! You answered a lot of questions I had!!
That's great! I'm happy you hear that. Thank you for watching.😊

I'm glad this video helped you. You got this!
What should we do to get the white outline? Will we have to use vynil in the back?

@@mgcraftsandmore. You’ll get it with practice. You’ll be great at it!😊
Can you share heat press link??
If I get creata fabrica and pay for the yearly subscription does that mean all the images that have a cost with them I can download because I will have that subscription?
Yes. I've downloaded dozens & dozens of images.

Thank you so much😍
What brand is that heat press please
That is a Tusy brand
Hi is the same ink used for sub and dtf ? Thanks
Yes it is.
Have you done a wash test on the T-Shirts, have they faded or cracked?
I have on a couple of them, as some were gifts, and so far they are holding up nicely, but they only been washed a couple of times.
What tempt is the griddle set to? I tried 350 and 385 and it cured way to fast and curled the film
I initially did it at 300 degrees, but lowered it to about 250. It took a bit longer, but it didn't mess up the dtf sheet.
Why the teflon? I thought Crystal Ann just placed on the griddle?
You don't have to. I do it just for extra protection of the DTF film.
Where did you buy your gray mat for your heat press?
I buy the majority of my things on Amazon. 😊
@@mgcraftsandmore Is the Yamation powder "Medium?" Also, do you have a link for the gray mat? I just ordered one but it is for a circuit and not as cushy as yours. Thanks
@MiMySlots yes of course. Here you go.

Do you know what makes it spread the ink rub on it
I can't say for sure. I noticed it more with the black ink color. I need to test some more to see.
What temp do you put your griddle on?

Great video! How did the shirt designs hold up in the wash over time?
So far, they're pretty good. I had only worn them a handful of times...and now winter is here.
@@mgcraftsandmore Thanks! I'm super excited to try using the dtf powder. I appreciate the content.
Thank you. I appreciate the kind words.
Qhat ink are you using here
Cosmos sublimation ink.
Hi, is this a converted printer?
Yes it is.
Thank you for sharing the tutorial, what powder and film did you use?
Thank you. It was this kit I found on amazon. . KASYU DTF Powder Film Kit .
What’s that eraser thing you used called and where’d you get it?
Its a sand eraser. I bought it off amazon. The brand is Tombow
@@mgcraftsandmore. I just ordered the sand eraser. Thank you!!!
@@mgcraftsandmore Thanks, I normally use a lil alcohol on a q-tip but this is worth a try!

If you change your density to -4 it will take care of the roller lines.
Never even thought of that. Thank you. 😊
Let me know if it works for you.
You may pick up ink when you repress, using butcher paper is better to use in case you pick up ink.
Thank you. I usually do both. Since it was DFF I didn't want it to stick to my image.. Its happened once before.
I’ve seen a lot of people use parchment paper for the second press. That’s also what I use. It works great.

Yes I have. So far so good, but I think I need to see if I can find wash instructions.
Ok why does it come off?
It came off a bit on one, but I think its because I washed it in hot water & dried in high heat. My fault for not paying attention.
@@mgcraftsandmore oh ok thank you so much!
You're welcome.😊
TFS
Probably could be used your scraper tool to get the roller marks off after you cured it.
Great image choices.
Thank you. Yeah, the sand eraser works really good as well.

@BiancaPena-9o You may want to play around with your settings. You can Tape the dtf file to a sheet of paper with painters tape. That should help.
