Great tip John. I've always laughed at guide commercial where they have a microscope picture of their ceramic claiming it's smoother than competitors brand. Sure it is but can I have a picture of the guide after just a hour of fishing? Cool thumbnail by the way!
Hey John. Was just discussing this with my son the other day about maintenance on our rods a reels. Can you do one one casting and spinning reels also???
Hey Mr. Crews. Great video but I have a completely unrelated question. On the Missile Jigs Micro Jig what do you use for a trailer if you use a trailer at all? And also what size ned head do you use for the Ned Bomb?
Mr.Crews I have a question you might be able to help me with. I just broke my favorite jerkbait bill. When I go to reorder it doesn’t look the same. Did spro change the Norman flake???
Thats an easy cleanup for my ledge setups!! What drives me crazy is my punchin rods my frog rods the heavy hitters!! The crud and buildup is honestly irritating especially when it hardens on my guides..seems like ill clean it.....it drys and comes right back 😩😂
Fishing helped a lot of us make it through 2020 🙏🏼 thanks for the cleaning tutorial
Well you should've probably got a COVID vaccine then..You coulda went anywhere
If u have cork grips use the original magic eraser. Man it makes them look like new again and it doesn't mess up the cork.
Great tip!
Without a doubt. Magic erasers are great for fishing equipment and boats too
Good video John. I believe in line conditioner also,, started using it several years ago.
I clean all my rods and reels with kvd line conditioner. Works really well!!

If there’s anything that gives me confidence it’s doing something and then finding out a pro does the same thing.
Good video!
The best way to clean cork is a light scrub with a magic eraser. It’s a foam pad that looks like a scouring pad. After that I seal it with U-40

I will but need help. 😊

The Drop Craw is my favorite micro jig trailer.
Anywhere from 1/16 to 3/16. Rate of fall is key and changes
What's a good idea to clean the cork handles
Magic eraser

Oh no! Some batches will be slightly different but hopefully the bass won't notice!
@@JohnCrews well I found the one like I have on another site but the one tackle warehouse has listed as Norman flake looks nothing like mine
I think KVD said you need to use more of the product than just a little squirt on the microfiber towel.
Does rod and reel magic do the same as the conditioner?
It does not. Reel magic is silicone based and comes off quickly.
John Crews ok, I’ll change that. Thank you so much. Got lots to learn and your always helpful.
I guess you could do the same with reelsnot?
I have and it works on the rod. 👍🏼
Wow beautiful send me some of those you dont want they would be very helpful to me
I stick all my rods in the shower and just turn it on and come back in about 10min and then wipe em down and slather them with KVD juice.
Good plan!
@@JohnCrews I also check the line guides with a qtip to clean and be sure there aren't any nicks or cracking that could fray the line
Wait y’all clean your rods?
Bingo
Not everybody has $100 rods - start paying 5/700 $ you’ll want to take care of
@@deangruwell6555 I have all elite series cushions I clean them this was more of a sarcastic answer
Since you're talking about rods 🤭 what Cashion rod do you use for a ned rig?
The Micro Jig Rod is money for the ole Ned Rig
