But you don’t want to treat Fire Corn…. It’s already impregnated with krill scent…. Great product. As you saw in the video I’m talking about prepping shoe peg corn out of the can…..
I almost always rub a couple drops of anise oil on my hands before baiting up for any fishing to hide any other smell on my hands ! Hope you remembered to take the can opener back upstairs 🤔.
I like hearing the science, but fish oils have worked for me for years. Maybe they don't smell it, but they taste it. I've tested it myself, and fished shoulder to shoulder in CA lakes with high pressure. I typically catch double the fish with the same set-up and bait. What I use kills trout, but catfish, and bass go after it too. I haven't been skunked in recent memory.
Hey Chuck...I didn't say they didn't know oil. I stated that fish are physically incapable of smelling oil. They can only smell water based scents since they live in a water environment. If using oil based scent gives you confidence, go for it. I was just tossing out some science...LOL
Great tips! I've been using the corn, tuna w/oil and trying different scents, but will add some salt to my next batch! Good to know you can freeze it too!
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽Great information!
Glad it was helpful!
Appreciate the info, love the simplicity

i dunno . the salt and sugar combo turned my fire corn into mush. it got all watery and turned firm corn into softness.

I'm in the same boat on the sardine situation. The wife won't even kiss me for a day after I have some

What other fish does it catch? In Saltwater?
Smell-A-Vision! Lol

Is that the FHS Magnum Speed Spork in hot orange?
Hahaha...Got those close out a walmart 10 for $10....
I just covered some corn with some balls of fire dust. It smells like it's going to work.
Awesome, I will try the sardine corn first time out in the spring against my go-to tuna corn, can't wait now.
in the beginning you said fish can't smell, then why do add different scents to the corn?
I said fish can't smell oil...Oil...They can smell, but the stuff they are smelling has to be water soluble...Thanks Craig...
@@FHSTackle ahh got ya! That's why I watch your videos! Learn something new every time!
Never ever touch you're bait if you do all that mixing its contaminated now
Yeah ok….
Cal, do you fish Lake Tahoe
Whenever I can...It's a fun lake!!
What if you mix everything?
Why do salmon like corn of all things?
There are lots of thoughts on that subject!
Your site won't let me see the products I click on....oh well I'll find something else
Hmmm I don’t know what the problem is…. Just checked the site and it’s working for me…. Sorry about that…
@@FHSTackle I'll try again brother....putting 2 small boys down, didn't mean to be snark just didn't have the time to elaborate
Great video. I've used bacon grease covered corn with some decent results.
Hahaha
According to this guy fish don't know oil, grease.
My two favorites are garlic corn and sugar and anise corn
nice video , I'm gonna try corn-"tuna can" -salt -garlic for stocked trout.
I've never seen using corn on a lure before. I wished you showed how you attach it.... On triple hook, do you use 3 pieces of corn?
One kernel on a single or treble hook works best for me. Simply tread your hook through it in the most drag efficient direction.
Lol. My dogs love raw sardines.
Fish don't know oil. Ok. Well fish don't know corn either. Or garlic, sugar but you use it. Hmmm enjoy

I don't know about putting corn in your anise, Cal. The scent may be a little over powering.
You got chocolate in my peanut butter!!!
