My dad always played this song when we would do our Saturday morning drives, even though it might be slightly inappropriate for a 5-6 year old, but he didn’t care. I never could understand lyrics in songs until I was 8 anyways. But it reminds me of my youth, and how happy I was to be with my dad, especially after he divorced my mom. It’s strange though. Even though he has full custody, I still felt so happy to be with my dad when he drove.

My grandmother's brother, my great uncle Ed, had one such friend, Uncle Bob. Uncle Bob was a great cook and conversationalist and the family would go there for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. I remember when I said on one car ride back home "It must be great to live with your best friend." I was I think seven at the time when I said this. and I still can remember the look that came across my mom's face.

My dad had a friend we called "Uncle Keith". Lovely guy, used to take me and my brother to the pantomime every New Year. He and his "chef" Daniel wore matching gold watches. Really, really nice bloke. Things have moved on I guess, but it's so nice to hear a passage in a song about these funny guys getting by in a funny world. I relate to the world a lot through a sense of humour; that must be why I love Flight Of The Conchords.

Did you hear they might make a FOTC movie? This show and CDs are just great, just absolutely great. My brothers and I watch an episode or listen to a song like every day because it just makes us laugh. You watch or listen to FOTC after a bad day at work and it just makes you feel all good and happy. 2 hot dudes, great music that can stand on its own.
