I don't know if it's just me, but it seems so odd seeing them in ordinary clothes, with normal hair and make-up. I've been watching Downton non-stop this week. OMG season three was soooo (sobs).
I watched all five seasons and the specials in two weeks! 😀😀😀 Just finished watching them yesterday! Love downton!

I think it's weird to see them out of the show because their characters are so believable. That's what makes this show so great! Always going to be a classic.

The manor which they use as Downton Abbey is one of the most exquisite buildings I have ever laid eyes upon.

I know!!! I also LOVE her character as well. I think that they chose the right person with the right voice to fit Lady Sybils (I hope I spelled that right) personality.

Joanne Froggatt is simply magnificent.
I've not enjoyed a television series this much since The Sopranos ended. Downton Abbey is that good.....and Jessica Brown Findlay is one of the most beautiful creatures I have ever seen.

She definitely said AWOL which means, "absent without [official] leave"... I think she was using it v. loosely as meaning-- or to reiterate that the old ways were being abandoned or taken from them, because of the war, no matter how tight they tried to hold onto them.
I could be completely off and she did just the use the wrong term, but that's what I took from the context of the comment and that happenings during S2.
I would love to know what Jessica thought of her harem pants outfit. I thought it looked great.
These women all look so much better with the minimal (or at least seemingly minimal) makeup they wear in the show.

Has anyone noticed? Both Thomas and Anna are ex-Corrie St. actors...Thomas played Liam married to Maria who was killed off by Tony Gordon and Anna was Ashley's first love I think her name was Zoey..years ago before Maxine.

Young girls, see the difference in how "Sybil' and "Ethel" sit in real life and in the series. Corsets or not, remember to sit up straight, shoulders down and back. Thy guys in real life aren't slumping forward.
