This was the best video I’ve seen. Glad you’re a real parent with realistic ideas and activities. Also loved that she was candid in saying she does use iPad/screen time for her little one. At this age most parents do and we all do it to survive when needed. Great play ideas too. As a work from home dad who takes care of her little one, this helped and reassured me on what I do. I needed this ❤️

If I had to depend upon my craft skills to entertain my children, I would be hiring an artist to take me through the stuff on Pinterest and brochures step by step to teach me first. LOL. Whatever kids can interact with to learn and use their imaginations is a good thing, because those are the playthings that will retain their attention and that can be used over months or years. By the time she is closer to age 4, Riley may have an imaginary friend, human or animal, with whom she plays and converses, if she is really majorly into acting out imagined scenarios. It is fun when they give you a double order for lunch because the friend needs lunch, too. And the friend, human or animal, will also have a name. She should be learning to play a bit more on her own without interruption. Let her imagination go until she asks for help. You gave a very good overview of items that are available for toddlers to be challenged. Thx.
