Hi herp lovers! I really had a great time putting together this video and I hope you dug it as well! There are two more coming really soon, so hopefully you’ll check those out as well! If you haven’t noticed, I’m totally new to this RUclips thing, and I don’t really know what I’m doing! I just decided a few weeks ago to try to capture some of my experiences and share with others. So yeah, I agree, these thumbnails are really dorky! Truth be known, I’m super excited to share what I’ve learned, but also I’m finding it really tough to figure out how to share these videos without coming across as some sort of weird spammer, or some sort of narcissistic self-promoter. That couldn’t be further from the truth. I have just gained so much from other people who is posted videos, I kind of wanted to give back to the community the best I could. I’m not sponsored by anyone and certainly don’t monetize anything, so I definitely appreciate your sharing these with anyone who might enjoy them! Take care of each other out there! Randy
I haven't watched the following videos, so forgive me if you cover it later... Curious about how you chose the heat mat, and how you prevent it from being too hot or not warm enough. Fantastic video, very easy to follow, informative and fun to watch. I know you don't have interest in monetizing this, but I imagine you may accrue many followers and I'm excited to see the next video and any others you have dealing with herpetology or husbandry etc. Thank You for all the time and effort you put into this!!
Hi there Matthew! I appreciate your compliments about my video! I really don’t have any idea what I’m doing here, just trying to explain the best I can! I’m really happy that you can follow it 😂 you’re right, I’m not really aiming to be a RUclipsr or something like that. That sounds like a lot of work! I’m not against people giving me free stuff if that ever happens- just as long as it’s understood that I reserve the right to speak my mind freely. I am not ever going to sell paper clips for anyone.😂 For the heat mat, I chose a square 20 W, Matt, knowing that I would eventually plug the tree into an a IKEA smart outlet. This outlet can be timed to turn on or off, so ultimately, the temperature of the pad can be controlled quite well. The original pad came with a voltage, regulator attached, but after doing some tests with it at full blast, I was convinced that it would never really get terribly hot, no matter how long it was left on. For a short time, I considered putting in a thermostat into the sandwich of the ceramic tiles where I had the mat, but I dropped this idea when I realized that it would never really here very accurate. The surface temperature was the most important thing, and that could be quite different than the temperature in the middle of the tiles.
You’ve got it man. Great speaking voice and ample clips of the whole process. Videos like this will make your page one of the bigger ones in this field of DIY reptiles. I’d love to see some care guides too. You’ve really got the voiceover talent for this!
Holy crap, thanks! I really don’t have any big intentions here-Just trying to share what I’ve learned with anyone who might be interested. I never really realized that people liked to look at people building stuff, to be honest. I’m really flattered, and appreciate your compliments!
Haha, sorry about the snakes! But they kinda comes with the habitat... Maybe one day you can meet some snakes like Willy, Margaret or Lilibet... They 're very calm, super nice, and have changed a lot of peoples minds about snakes! Anyway, glad it was useful!
Thank you so much! I’m so happy it’s useful to you! I really do appreciate your support-I’m just getting started here and don’t want to spam people!! 😂😂
Thank you so much! WOW! I am quite flattered a real RUclipsr digs my stuff! I really don't have any clue what I'm doing here, to be honest. Just trying to put out the kind of videos I wanted to find when I was doing projects! I'm obviously just getting started so I really do appreciate your support!
For my upcoming Halloween Project 2024 i could use those "wrong" 5-LED USB Book Lights. Can't find them on Aliexpress or Temu. Do you have an link for me? Thx a lot!

I covered the trashcan with plastic wrap before spraying. I think I mentioned this in the video series somewhere. Because the trashcan is made of polyethylene, the foam would not stick to it, any more than it would stick to the plastic wrap. At the same time, I wanted to be extra sure- just in case the foam shrank and made it difficult to remove. This was not the case at all. The can just slipped right out!
Hi! Came from DIY reptile enclosures on fb, I’m sorry all that happened to you, your terrariums look amazing, your process is fascinating and I just love all of it

This is one of the coolest reptile DIY videos I’ve seen
Wow, thanks Austin! That means a lot to me 😊 I hope you’ll stick around for more!
Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for to make a tree in my frog enclosure.
That’s awesome Jennifer! I’d like to see what you come up with!

Thanks for sharing your adventure in building this
Hi Laura! Thank you very much for your nice comment! I am hard at work at some new videos… Thanks for checking out the work! Hope it’s helpful 😊
Great tutorial. I viewed those other videos that you used clips from and they are fine, but you took it to a whole nother level. Strong work
Thank you so much! Appreciate your sharing!
I liked this video. Except for the snake. I won’t need a snake for Shrek. But thanks for teaching me how to make trees for my set :)

Thanks Michael! I'm working on them as fast as I can!
Love this so far! Can't wait for part 2. Any chance when you finish part 2, you can do a more in-depth video for Tinkercard?
I can do my best! I’m going to first focus on trying to get out the tutorials on the main build. It’s a great program though!
Subscribed! Great video! Can't wait to check out more of your content! I love learning new techniques from fellow RUclips content creators 👏👍

How did you get the trashcan out without breaking ?
I covered the trashcan with plastic wrap before spraying. I think I mentioned this in the video series somewhere. just subscribed
