Justin, as I was watching this I was thinking about my own sons. I spent 20yrs active duty in the military so I was gone a lot. Last July I lost my oldest son suddenly and I wish to God there was a way I could have spent more time with him when he was younger.
We all love your videos and I know I’ve learned a ton from watching them but if you have to skip a few days of editing to spend more fun time with the boys do it. We’ll still be here waiting. Your family is more important than anything else in the world.

WOW that really hit home except I'm 61 and my father is 85. It's been tough. Never through me a baseball and STILL ( even when driving him to the hospital last week) the worst backseat driver there ever was. Back in the day would have done ANYTHING to have a relationship like you have with your kids Sir. Thanks for sharing.

OK ... you made me cry. This was so heartwarming. You have the hardest working kids on the planet. It seems like they rarely ask for things. You did good, dad! They deserved to get these kayaks. They deserved to have you go with them to pick them out and get all the gear necessary. They will remember this for the rest of their lives. And no, I don't think you or Rebekah will ever have a problem talking with ANY of your kids down the road. You already have the lines of communication WIDE open. Love it!

Showing your children how to b a great father, is your job, love. Showing your daughter how she should b treated. When she started dating, she will b looking for her father in this guy. Love and respect, is what makes the difference. Your sons will b learning to to treat a future wife also.

I don’t comment very often on public media. I have been a fan of this vlog because you spend quality time with your family. You are a great communicator when it comes to projects and activities. I believe you have even learned a few things from your kids. They are very intelligent. I’m not an expert on communicating and talking to children, but I know how important it is. You have a lifestyle that dictates help from the family. It is a unique partnership. We bring our children up to be responsible adults. They know how to be kids. We need to let them be kids. I have a son that loved all things outdoors as a child and young teenager. He developed other interests as he got older. He is now 20 and going in the Army National Guard. I still spend every minute with him that I can. Sometimes just a 5 minute talk is all it takes. I don’t have some of the same interests that he does, but I know I need to listen to him talk about things that he is passionate about. I lost my Dad to cancer when I was 20. I know the importance of talking with your kids. I talked to my Dad every day he was on Earth. You do a great job. Don’t let your lifestyle be your only communication. God bless

This is why we homestead and homeschool. Our boys are all adopted and they are brilliant, vibrant, amazing beings, but they had a rough start. They need us to be there for them as much as possible. We made the choice to live this lifestyle for them. To ensure they will be the best people they can be and we will have a lifetime connection with them, despite their difficult beginning in life. It isn't easy at times, we struggle and sacrifice, but it is worth it to give them a life full of love. Your family rocks!

You will ALWAYS be glad for those moments with your boys! I can tell you your boys will never be as little as they are today again. Whether it's Mr. Brown being able to jump into your arms and still wanting to be your helper, to the amazing young men the older two boys have become. And I say that as a mama with a college age son. You said yourself in a previous video that those kids are the job, and that's oh so true. Jonah will be driving before you know it. I'm so glad that gentleman reached out to you. It's never too late. I pray God blesses him with reconciliation, peace, and joy within his own family.

This litraly hit home for me, I have 3 children and 2 step children both other parents do not see them, it's been such a roller coaster ride, for all of us, my 2 step sons know I have there back and I've never left, but then ask me if you can do it why can't my mum, my kids do the same to my partner too, it's so sad but we come together to show where they fall I will always pick them up, they help me in so much every day, emotionally mentally the lot also with our 5 hens every day, we got because of you thanx lol then our 2 mental dogs massive fish plus crickets, it's so worth being in someone's life then not being, my life is absolute madness but I wouldn't change it for the world xx

When I was in the tenth grade I was working two jobs and going to school. My father was disabled with cancer. I had to work or not eat and boy could I eat. (4 to 5 meals per day) I would sometimes wake up late at night (11pm to 3am hungry)
But if I had extra money very seldom and wanted to buy something I didn't ask I just got it.

Great video Justin. I once heard a wise father suggest taking his daughter on dates once a month (ice-cream, movie, etc.) so as she is able to understand how good men should treat her. Often I believe girls grow up not knowing what to expect, and this can leave them vulnerable and compromised early in their life.

My Grandmother always said that our most important investment in our lives were our children. She said we could teach them about Yeshua and heaven and see them there, but we could not take our riches or possessions. Your love and time invested in their lives, would come back to you seven fold in your old age. I am living this right now!!! At my old age my children are with me all the time and off and on, my grand kids come to stay and visit. Now I am a GREAT grandmama, two beautiful great grand daughters. I am surrounded by love. They were and still are my most important investments in life. I DID NOT have this in my life from my own parents.....Grandma was the one who invested in me. My step Dad and his wife invested in me! My step Mom and her husband invested in me. But not my blood parents. Knowing how this felt, I threw myself into my three children, they were my life, and boy did we have fun! GOD continues to bless you Justin, serve your family, do all for your family, continue to invest in them. Love from Texas.
