- To say Im satisfied with this rifle (so far) is a gross understatement. It was love at first trigger pull. In fact, I'm going to introduce this to my Beretta M9 to see if they hit it off.
Don't forget to watch Mixup98 and his video about this, and other great guns! Just type "Mixup98" in the search, you'll see them.
All of the music in this vid was provided by RUclips, and the short clips are a Fair Use thing.
Nice video and carbine. I have owned my Cx4 since 2004 and it is still one of my favorite firearms. Thank you for the nice shout-out....I really appreciate it.
I appreciate all you’ve been doing! Been watching you for years. You’re a definite favorite in my camp!
See a lot of people dismiss it, it’s got low part count it’s got mag compatibility with one of the best pistols ever made, it is the modern day equivalent of the pistol/lever action combos the cowboys of the Wild West used. Ammo and mag interchangeable? This is very practical. Great vid.
I’ve had one for a four or five years now, It’s nice I like the fact the 9mm mags fit my M9 pistol 😊.
Excellent review. I've had mine for 15? years. Still love it.
I own 2 Storms. Love the rifle!!
You've made an excellent choice. These are very reliable. The extendable bottom rail is a weird thing. It moves so a laser isn't a good thing to mount there and it's far forward so a small light doesn't really work either. I put a 1" riser on it (to clear the lower sling mount) and mounted a Streamlight 88090 ProTac Rail Mount HL-X with the switch on the top rail and it works great.
I also put a QD sling mount on the side rail, a Swampfox Blade 1X optic and a Nightstrike Diamondback AFG (Get the lower rail kit from Beretta first). It looks loaded up and it's a little heavier (friends rag on me lol) but it is highly functional.
The rail does move but I put a Streamlight laser light combo and it works pretty good.
With a decent optic such as Holosun's HS510C and paired with 30-round magazines of +P bonded JHPs, these things make dandy home defense tools.
Yes but I put a stupid Romro on mine because the cool guys was saying that was the ticket. I'm done listening to the cool guys and trusting my gut!
@@TheGoodguy68 I have a Sig Romeo 5 on an MCK Micro Roni paired with a Glock 31 and it's not a bad combo. I just needed something inexpensive (yet acceptable quality) that had a "shake-awake" feature.
Of the two, I greatly prefer the Holosun, but Romeos aren't bad either. I went with the HS510C after watching a torture test where it took a side hit from a 12ga (granted #8 shot, but still) and it still kept zero. That video is still here somewhere on RUclips.
Neat rifle, need to take mine out for a spin!!! Also love your humor and love the segment with the “lapse in muzzle discipline with the possibility of bullets travel through cyber space”. 😂
Thank you Matt! Yes, it’s hard to believe I have to specify to people that they can’t get shot through a video…. Some of which called ME stupid because the barrel faced the camera! 🤣
@@CitizenCarry totally, I also love that you don’t cry just because one or two features aren’t to your liking, you just get over it and move on.
@@mattwalters6834 So many people will call a gun “crap” because someone didn’t personally come to their house, measure their forearms , hand width, thumb length and wrist range of motion , and finger length to devise the perfect firearm which is tailored to their specific physical disposition. So “it’s crap….”
Great video. Your video is very interesting.I watch Mixup 98 too. He showed a muzzle shroud that really looks good and adds weight and protection to the barrel. Jwarms.
Haven't taken mine out in a while. You've inspired me
Sammy Davis Jr.!!!!
It's my favorite and also my HD gun....I like this better than both my AR-15s
Good video , showed me some featuresI was unaware of about my CX4
Good morning, Chris: I purchased my CX4 Storm and the PX4 Storm sec[verfal years ago
Hey buddy, it was mainly 44/40 compatibility back in the "Old West". They didn't chamber lever guns on .45 Colt until modern times. Great review and video!
Thank you! For both!
Also, you gotta switch that extractor for the perfect southpaw PCC. Thanks for the video.
i own 3 cx4 great guns
Chris, I tried several different optics on mine and then the Holosun HE510C, I highly recommend the Holosun.
Cx4 Storm needs more love.
I feel that with the magazine release, just because it mimics a pistol doesn't mean you have to use it like one. I just use my other hand to hit it instead.
Yep… I use my forefinger, it’s not bad at all!
Cx4 love *and* great comedy? I'm home!
Welcome! Glad to have ya!
Gotta say I just love the videos on this carbine! I need to go shoot mine, and my 92x RDO Compact!
Chris, we seem to have the same taste in guns. I have the M9/Cx4 combo as well. I use the Beretta 30 round mags and a red dot which are great.
I like having that combo. You obviously have great taste!
I was taking a serious look at the Cx4 until the new S&W FPC recently came out with all the same desirable features but the 2 main tipping point s were price ($100 cheaper.) a and THREE standard capacity magazines.
I’m going to have to check that out!
@@CitizenCarry Mixup98 has a nice, new video on it. Was very informative. Also Sootch, Mrgunsngear, and Honest Outlaw.
Were you able to find a nice aftermarket charging handle? If so, what/where did you buy? thx
I didn’t do it yet! But I have been thinking about it for a long time. I know that mixup98 had one.
I got one of the newer ones in FDE.
Think it looks really nice in the tan color.
Got an FDE Holosun to match.
It's been a really fun carbine for me.
I’ve been really digging it. Though I do believe I’ll get one of those nice, smooth charging handles for mine.
@@CitizenCarry Those handles are worth it.
Especially if you plan on taking your CX4 out fairly often.
There is a second mag next to the “speed loader”?
Love my CX4 & M9A4. I used the 20 round CX4 mags in my M9 - no problem. I also have some 30 round CX4 mags that will work in M9, but haven’t tried yet. Next range visit:)
Also from the factory did you notice the front sight post is a little to the right? That’s how mine came
Mine seemed to be shooting on point. I don’t think mine had any sort of weird off- kiltering to it. You can adjust your rear site, did you adjust it?
@@CitizenCarry I haven’t I just got done building it’s attatchments. I’ll see soon though funnybenough at the gunstore I asked to see other cx4 storms and all of them the same sight seemed to be slightly to the right.
@@markanthony6638 LOL! Probably the same guy installed the sights!
Nice to see fresh reviews of this gun I got mine a month ago and I added the aluminum rail/under rail kit combo I just need a optic and it’s finished. What will you add to yours?
Thank you for the good words!
I already ordered the spacers for the butt stock. Other than that I’m probably only going to get an a rounded extended charging handle. I already have a red dot, but I might also get a weapons light.
Chris- nice blend of info and humor. You had me at the t-shirt. Understand the eyesight issue completely. Red dot seemed to help. Glad the ridge around the safety isn’t sending you to a therapist. Ha!
Thanks Michael! With all of my videos I don’t script what I say, so I never even know what’s gonna get said! I appreciate the kind words!
Chris: I bought one and it is really fun. I would like to send you two color photos of how I upgraded. I've used mine for about a year now. I've open it up, and cleaned it once after a few hundred rounds.
Send them on! My e-mail address at the end of every video!
"carbone" thanks for the laugh.
Maybe a vertical hand grip at the front
I have the px4 compact in 40 now having the shop order me the cx4 in 40 then on to the arx100 or 1301 after I get this
'slight protrusions like your host' 😆😆😆
LOL! Hey, truth in advertising…y’know?
I do not agree!!! I use this weapon and shoot at 50 meters I only make one hole!! I also shot at a distance of 120 meters from support and with optics on a 100x100 cm target and all the shots hit the target without problems ...
It s funny rifle💪🏼💪🏼🇮🇹
Are inserts available to make it compatible with my PX4 full size carry pistol mags or is the PX4 compatible CX4 a diferent model?
I am not sure! I do know the grip on the Cx4 is big enough that the magazine size is kind of irrelevant. But for appearance, I’m not sure if the Beretta site has anything like that.
Does it come with a case and extra mags.?
It comes with a case, but only one stinkin’ mag! That’s the part I wish that they would’ve improved upon. I mean come on, the rifle was not a cheap thing.
@CitizenCarry I hear you, it's that way everywhere since THE CLOWN IN OFFICE
I am curious of why you shoot left-handed,in this video at least. but you haven’t changed the eject port for a left-handed shooter.
I guess I don’t think about it. The ejection never bothered me, so either way it’s been fine to me.
@@CitizenCarry ok thanks for the reply…the first thing I did when I got mine was change the eject port to left..I guess that is one of the initial reasons I bought it….but when I shot it I was very pleased because it’s comfortable to shoot accurate as hell with a red dot, and I can use my 92fs mags both ways….!oh yea and it’s so light I don’t really know I’m carrying it. It is my truck gun…well my car gun lol. Take care, looking forward to more videos..
@@rjmprod thanks! It’s funny you mentioned the 92 because not too long ago I shot footage of the M9 and the CX4 tandem… and that’s coming soon!
I’m glad you’re watching and I appreciate it!
5:22 Jam?
No…. A lot of times I will stop shooting and squint and strain to see down range where my hits are hitting (or if they’re hitting where I think they’re hitting) so I try to cut out a lot of unnecessary dead time, loading time, and stuff like that. You’ll notice that I stop the tabletop footage as well. If I stutter, I usually cut it out.
My goal is to save the viewer the boring parts. (While hoping that the parts I keep aren’t boring. 😆
Come to think of it, I do not believe my carbone has jammed or had a failure to feed it all! So far so good.
Thanks!
