    Gorgeous piece!! Are you using only one level of firmness clay-wise, or do you use different clays depending on the level of detail required? A softer clay when you're roughing out the shapes for instance

    Your videos inspired me to get into sculpting! Something is driving me nuts though: is there a common name for that small wood block that you mount the armature to? Can you buy them, or is it something you have to make yourself? I am also using super sculptey but I keep wrecking the details because I keep touching it.

    I've been using DAS clay which is air drying for years now and it's really hard to work with, but its the best i could afford. I always saw polymer clay as a wonder clay that can do everything but when I got some fimo soft I was disappointed, it's too soft and melts in my hands, moves all over an armature as well, then i got fimo professional, its a bit better but mostly the same thing. These sculpey and cosclay seem really good, like they have consistency of plasticine clay which is perfect to work with, being hard enough to stay in place and not melt when being handled but there isn't any in my country, I would have to pay like $50 dollars for shipping. I feel like I'm region locked out of improving my skills to the max.
    Do you maybe have know of some other brands of polymer clay similar to this that I could check for in my area?

    • @bricesavina
      @bricesavina  5 месяцев назад

      Fimo pro is very good too you can use it to replace super sculpey firm
      Super sculpey is a bit different but same firmness .
      Sorry I don't know any other brands
      Where are you from ?

    • @Narko_Marko
      @Narko_Marko 5 месяцев назад

      @@bricesavina i have two main problems with fimo, it's too heat sensitive so I can not hold what im sculpting, I need to have it on a base and it's impossible to carve away, it just rips and tears so it's almost impossible to remove clay without damaging the piece.
      I am from Serbia, yesterday after leaving this comment i tried to search again and I found a single website with sculpey original and medium blend maybe i can try them or I should use fimo pro a bit more to learn how to use it.
