I’m not upset that Jackie and Kelso ended up together. In fact I think that makes total sense. But I am mad that Jackie cheated on Fez. That just seems stupid and kinda erases all her character development at the end of the series.

The fact that they would explain that Jackie cheated on Fez with Kelso pretty much goes against her whole character development from That 70’s show as she was always the victim of affairs from her previous relationships and she would do the same thing to Fez just makes a downgrade on her character.
I wanted Jackie to be with Hyde. How they got Fez and Jackie together felt forced.That said, them breaking up just makes it worse cause they just threw Jackie's character growth out the window Off topic, I love your username lol
Rewatch the show please. The OG writers intended on Jackie being with Fez after Kelso but they changed writers. Jackie and Fez were written to be very alike intentionally and she had to suddenly change herself to get Hyde to stop hating her and like her but then for him to cheat on her twice and get over her quickly. He did not love her and she did not love him. He was rebound because Kelso ran away when she wanted to get married. That is why she screamed at Annette for being all over Kelso while she was with Hyde. She loved Kelso for their entire relationship. Back to Jackie and Fez, all that time in the early seasons when Jackie and Hyde clearly loathed one another, Fez and Jackie kissed, she gushes to Donna about how great it was, she brags about his 'cute butt', she tries to come on to him when she was drinking but Fez turns her down out of respect for her, they dance together at the big dance, plan the party together and compete as partners for the roller disco..etc. there was so much build up for them because they were supposed to end up together. That is why they both loved fashion, interior design and roller disco. 2 peas in a pod. Both Kelso and Hyde treated her like she was a burden. Kelso loved her more than Hyde did but in the end they both cheated on her multiple times. They ended up putting her back with Kelso in 90s show erasing all her character development just because the actors are married in real life now.

I think it couldve been done better. They didnt need to retroactively drag Jackie like that. I think they thought itd be in Jackie’s character cause she was always one of the more savage characters. But Jackie I dont think would do that to Fez or end a relationship like that especially given what she and Kelso went through.
It was the laziest writing on the show. “How can we explain the change from the ending? Let’s outright have a character ask a question from 15+ years ago!” Same with them not knowing who Jay was, just so they could have the audience’s reaction. Would they not have sent Christmas cards or something at the very least? You’d totally think Jackie would make her family do those Sears portraits every year.
