- I rushed from getting off of work for this one. I had to make it to this even. It's the first year of the food and wine festival, and hopefully, there will be many more to come in the future!
I apologize I didn't cover much more of the event, but I did have a good time!

@@Eldons_Excursions oh my gosh, I’ve been better. My husband was in the hospital for five days and they did a bunch of tests and couldn’t figure out what was going on. It’s just been a nightmare.

Okay, old guy commenting here again. That was great, Eldon. So, I was in High School when that park first opened as Marriott’s Great America in 1976. That was the hangout! I remember some very special dates there back in the day. While it has changed a lot, it’s good to see some things haven’t. I recognize and remember a lot.. Oh the memories. Thanks for the trip down that lane, Eldon!

The cheese fondue was literally the worst thing I ever got.I totally agree. The bread was stale. Plus, I think the nacho cheese at 7-11 was better.

I was just there Wednesday. Had a good time seeing all the changes to the park since I was in my mid twenties.

I've been out of the loop on which trains have been running on RB but RB does have 3 colors - Relish (Green), Mustard, and Ketchup (Catsup)...RMC :)
It's never ran all 3 trains at once and usually one is in refurb while the other 2 are out doing their thing.
I might go tomorrow afternoon

Nice post!! I was there on Wenesday the 12th and railblazer and demon were not running 😢. I'm with you, work weekends. Love CGA and took my kids on summer break. Drove 3.5 hours. I'm starting to vlog as well. Keeping the coaster vlog fam strong. Love your content.

I think Great America did a pretty good job for a first time doing a Food and Wine Festival. I am with you, I don’t like the park closing at 8pm during the weekday. In July, the weekday hours do go until 10pm.
