What do you do if your baby stops crying within the set time frame of 3 minutes? Do you stop the timer and then start for the 5 minute when they cry? Or do you still go check in after the 3 minutes if they aren’t crying and start the 5 min?

You just go on with this method. We don't always expect the baby to be calm after your quick visit. Most of the time, they'll continue crying, but at least they know you're there

How long do you let them cry before picking up . My baby cried for almost 3 hours and is it ok to tell them cry that long ?
