As a tomboy, there have been times where I feel more connected to classic femininity, and times where I feel more masculine. Those are moods, not separate genders. Not always being 100% about glitter and makeup and dresses doesn’t make me not a girl. It just feels sort of misogynistic. These people aren’t destroying gender norms, they’re reinforcing them

This! It’s so weird how nowadays people want to label every single mood they have. Just because you’re feeling more feminine or more masculine one day, you don’t have to change your whole identity. I would consider myself very feminine overall, but I work very masculine jobs as I am in the army Reserves and I’m also a security guard. I definitely use a more masculine persona at work and then when I’m off work, I get to be more feminine. I enjoy exploring these two sides of myself, but I am still a woman.

TikTok is like guns, it's not the guns that are the problem it's the people who will go through the effort the get one to cause harm that are. TikTok only pushes what the user shows interest in or what the people around them do. Like any social media app. It has normal people and crazy people just like the dumpster fire known as Twitter. I agree with the person asking for age limits because little kids aren't supposed to be using these apps to begin with.

How is it, that simple gender nonconformity has now to be some kind of "trans"?! Almost every person is not 100% a kitchen bound giggling Barbie or an adventure seeking, aggressive GI Joe. Just be who you are, have your own personality with traits that can be considered feminine or masculine (who cares?!) and accept your sex and (learn to) love your body.

I am what you call a classical Liberal/feminist, I grew up in the 80's and 90's and the progress of women and the LGBT community is being undone at a rapid pace here, because right now the QIA+ are putting a ridged criteria on what it it is to be a boy or girl and insist you transition if you show any signs of resembling the other.
Growing up I was taught that girls and do what the boys can and vice versa.... being a tomboy I KNOW I would have been tricked into transitioning if I was a child now. Everything today is about 'Identify as'... whatever happened to 'Relate to'? That's why I was a tomboy to begin with, I related to the boys in my area and I enjoyed playing in the mud and tinkering with J.I Joe figures like they did, (I enjoyed My Little Pony too, but they had some intense adventures with the G.I Joes) and they had no issues with it.
Boys and Girls have a lot in common, the QIA+ are dead set on separating the two into boxes and redefining what it means to be either. No wonder depression and anxiety is at a all-time high.

You have written my childhood. Thank you.
I would have been a prime target too. At 50 I’m still a Tomboy, love riding my motorbike with my friends, love going to heavy metal gigs. I’m pretty sure I would still be boarding if I was still physically able to lol. I was 20 when I first willingly wore a skirt, much to the shock of my male friends.
The thing is, a lot of kids just do what brings them enjoyment, they bond with those they find most fun and interesting. If they are allowed, they don’t even think about whether it’s ‘girl or ‘boy’ stuff. My dad was a scout leader and mum was a cub leader, so from before I could even walk I was exposed to a male idea of fun. My Tomboy friend had 3 older brothers, her parents were overjoyed at having a girl and attempted to treat her as a princess, but she rough and tumbled with her brothers and preferred hopping along the local pond bank with us looking for frogs & catching tadpoles, determined to find more than her brothers. And if we didn’t return home covered in mud we considered it a bad day lol. I have a photo of us like this and we are so muddy you can’t tell which one of us is who, despite me being very blonde.
If we just leave kids to explore their likes in life they will figure out who they are eventually. Adults need to just let them and stop pushing an adult mindset onto them.
I swear all this started back when the adults started remaking old kids programs to remove things they perceived as wrong. Like a toy pixie (Noddy) and a toy gnome, living in toyland and sharing a home. Wow, how the pendulum has swung in the opposite direction. ❤

It's all gender stereotypes. By their logic, "feeling" like a girl/boy means feeling feminine or masculine. So yes, they base what gender they are off of how feminine/masculine they are.
(Example: a man feels feminine because he likes wearing make-up. He may take this as "feeling like a woman" or just accept it as what it is: we as a society have culturally labeled makeup as feminine.)
The actual truth of what is "feeling like a boy/girl" is the medical diagnosis of gender dysphoria. Sad how it's been regurgitated into whatever THAT is. Everyone feels masculine and feminine, but again, those feelings are based on gender stereotypes we learned.

Kids just want to play and have fun, they don’t need to be worried about who they wanna kiss bc they shouldnt be kissing in the first place??? So, I wish I new before about aromantism and asexuality. Should we talk about this to children? No, they wouldn't understand (if they ask the question, or if they're made fun of because they don't have a "lover", we just can tell them than being single is not a problem).

@@grenade8572 Can you explain further? As to me both things are pretty well connected, being romantic and sexual. From the definitions that are available on the internet/wiki both seem to contradict themselves and each other.
Did you really never experience a crush, even towards a movie or fictional character, or some sort of strong attraction?
If you really didn't feel that or (apparently I shouldn't be saying this) found the right person, I can see how you'd consider yourself asexual (that's why I also think these two are so connected).
I know one person, that considered themselves both too. A year or so ago they started hrt and as soon as they started, they found themselves a boyfriend (a person they've known for years) don't know how far they've gone as that isn't something we speak of.
The other experiences I a have with ace people is from the comment sections and usually they were in their 50s, when their libido is down.
So from these cases it seems that being asexual is physiological, as you don't produce a lot of (or them not working right) hormones to find attraction or desire to have intercourse. Or psychological, as it goes against our innate desire to find someone and in most cases procreate.
There is also by choice, because you just don't want to be seen in a sexual light.

I felt that way except my 3 brothers would punch me if I tried to do things with them. And my mom always reiterated I couldn’t do boy things. Matchbox, superhero comics, GI Joe. I was punished if I went near any of it. But as an only girl I had no one to play with until my sister came along years later. And even then she couldn’t play anything but baby things. So my mom had me help clean. And clean. And clean.

Ngl, my biggest irk for a long time has been this… I’m 38, I’ve NEVER wanted kids. Periods are a nightmare, not being dramatic but I’m one of those unlucky few. Numerous times I’d asked for a hysterectomy and was I given one? Nope! Why? Because I might change my mind on having kids. So from 13-38, 25 years I’ve had to suffer whilst nowadays if I’d said “ah yeah nah, it triggers my gender dysphoria to have a period” bada Bing bada boom it’d be sorted. This isn’t anything against real trans people…but why’s it ok to do these things to kids NOW when NOW there are still woman in my position who are being told Nope! You still might wanna have a kid. I’ve got, I’d guess… anywhere between 2-18 more years of this shit…I hate it.

    • @theresas740
      @theresas740 Год назад +1

Right there with you, Sister! I only got my hysterectomy at 38 because I was an Obstetric nurse and my Colleagues did it for me. I had periods so heavy I would need to set alarms at night to change protection. They were really disruptive during my working hours, literally in the restroom every 1.5 hours handling containment. Turns out I had fibroids the size of G-d's ego. Anyone else would have been put through at least 2 lesser procedures before resorting to hysterectomy. Because always, always, always, "preserve fertility." I remember Dr. Barton saying, "we know you are a single lesbian and you don't want kids, we're just gonna take it. Want your ovaries?" This is NOT what happens typically. I got my hysterectomy during childbearing years literally because "I KNEW A GUY." Any trans man who can pay for one is green lit for affirming surgery no sweat. I'm not saying trans men don't need or shouldn't have hysterectomies, but I have every confidence I'm not the only Gyn patient who feels just a bit chapped about a vastly larger number of hoops involved.

Part of the reason why we took our 7 year old son out of school was them pushing gender ideology. We request he not be included in learning about gender identity and they SAID they would respect that. Then later on he came to me and said, I don’t know if I’m a boy or a girl… There is NO other way he would have been exposed to this idea than through school. The main reason we didn’t want he to learn about this is because he has ASD. Through my research I have found that a lot of young people who are detransitioners have ASD. People who are neurodivergent feel different to others and sometimes they get led into thinking it’s because they are trans. Leave, kids, ALONE!!

It's like people who go onto google every time anything seems wrong with their body. They end up assuming its the worst and scariest possible outcome and actually damage their health needlessly. If someone has cancer (or is trans as an adult) that's one thing. But constantly fearing one has cancer, or having gender crap shoved down the throats of children, does everyone a disservice.

There was one boy, who at times felt like a girl and his girl name was Crystal. Because he was so adamant about his female identity at times, the mother wanted her child to transition, but the father was against it. Thank god, but other then that, anyone with this condition is obviously pushed to transition nowadays, and this is why it's important to keep track wether someone's gender dysphoria is chronic, just a temporary phase or a re-occuring mental issue.

I suspect the "come and go" gender dysphoria is exclusive to men, and is actually rooted in autogynephilia

That's not a rare case of gender fluidity, it sounds more like Disassociative Personality Disorder aka Multiple Personality Disorder.

Gender fludity just seems like someone who has masculine and feminine qualities/traits. Which is normal and doesn't need to be a label or identity!

My thing is this. I don’t have children. I get very weirded out about even being one of those adults who just waved at children that they don’t know in the streets. No matter how innocent it is. So for somebody to make a full-blown video addressing children that are not their children, it is screams pedo to me. Total groomer.

People are encouraged to not make decisions in all aspects of life at this point.
    "Don't settle down."
    "You can have multiple partners."
"You don't have to have a husband to have kids, get a sperm donor."
"You can update your phone every year."
As if identifying with your s3x is boxing you in.
If you feel boxed in by your s3x, then there is likely an outside reason for this.
I know someone who experienced consistent misogyny from a family member, and they identify as a guy now.
When you're excluded from outdoor activities because you're a female, it is isolating, you start to resent femininity.
You value masculine traits and put them on a pedestal.
You want to be accepted by the boys, and that won't happen if you're girly.
If you're rewarded for being girly when you're naturally masculine, you start to think to yourself, "If only I was a boy, I could be myself."

@@M4sterM1ndsetwith the level of woke gender stereotyping, probably if a woman hammers a nail she's should feel like a trans man for min 24h (48 if she gets her finger and swears😂) 🙄

Just putting this information out there, not trying to ruffle anyone’s feathers….but as a labor and delivery nurse since the early 90’s , when a baby is born and we are performing our newborn physical assessment, we document our findings. On our charting we address genitalia and document male or female or ambiguous. On most of the forms that I have used there is a place to document gender and sex. We always put the same! If we observe a penis we document male for both gender and sex. Same with female if we observe female genitalia. If we observe something other than that we document ambiguous genitalia and chart our exact findings and immediately inform the ob/gyn and the pediatrician. That’s just how it’s done. 🤓❤️
