This is one of the very best episodes ever. I’m biased because I love Jeremy Siegel and he didn’t disappoint. I listen to him every chance I get. Josh does a great job interviewing and asking excellent questions.
So I have to say this. I think the reason I appreciate this show so much is that you can actually learn things! I’m an old fart but I love to learn, prof segal was making a point and the look on joshes face was so thoughtful! He really thought about it he was learning, never stop learning. You guys have such great guests and I always learn something from them or you, don’t ever stop!
I think the reason I love this channel is they don’t do anything for clickbait. No doomsdays, world war 3 or nuke headlines . Would be easy for them to do it and get clicks and they don’t: much respect
Josh and Michael, your show is such a gift. Love the list of guests and your style of interaction. Siegel and Schwartz are among your best. Thanks to you both for what you do.
Great one guys - I always try to listen to Professor Siegel. He’s been a voice of reason the past 4 yrs. Enjoyed his take on the 70’s vs this time period very educational.
Loved this, I never knew the professor was this fiery and I learned alot! Please have him back. The no nonsense, "adults in the room" talk is the best!!!
TCAF knocked it out of the park with Prof Siegel! First time hearing of the beverage curve. Has nothing to do with alcohol. It really makes sense that foreign stocks can be thought of as in the value category. I got a big laugh during the "favorites" segment. Thanks Compound!
This was truly a spectacular episode. The Professor was fascinating to watch and listen to, and was quite profound. Bring him back! A big "thank you", Josh and Michael, for getting him on your show. Great stuff! Kudos to you both! (Jeremy Schwartz was a great guest, too.)
One of the best “Batnicks” of all time at 20min mark. Josh asks “why do you guys think stocks weathered inflation better….” Michael leaps in to answer “its the labour market!”. Siegel “…wellllll”. Gotta love Michael.
‘Stocks for the Long Run’ was one of the first books I read in my career and remains probably my favorite or top 3 at least. He also spoke at one of our lunch meetings at Merrill Lynch in Princeton years ago (2008) for Wisdom Tree so I got to meet him.
Such a good episode, when they were talking about the Torsten chart and Siegel goes “I know Torsten, he’s such a bright guuuuuy… alright this is such a stupid chart” I lol’d
Professor Siegel needs two mouths to get everything out that is running through his head. Great interview, so much in it, I need two brains to digest it.
This is what I will argue about J.Powell and the Fed. When were talking about the economy that went into instant recession after covid, the lower interest rates and definitely helped. However….. the buying of mortgage backed securities will be something that will haunt him and the rest of the fed members for a long time to come. So many young people being priced out of the current housing market.
Siegel was jumping up & down on CNBC over a year ago that the Fed should be cutting When they say CNBC is best watched with the volume down, I think of the Prof and wholly agree
Here you go!!! I am the US consumer. Make 125,000 live in normal cost of living state. I have a paid off house cars and no debt. 4 kids and I am beginning/am struggling. With no debt or payments I am better off than the typical American. There will be no trips for me. The economy will slow. I am taking vacations because they were planned and now can’t let the family down. THE ECONOMY WILL SLOW.
Wasn't siegele on cnbc saying we were on the verge of recession over 1yr ago demanding rate cuts? Curious to see how he is on this episode in bullish company.
Didn't the chairman of the Federal Reserve tell us for an entire year as inflation ran rampant in 2022, that inflation was "transitory", and refused to raise rates? I like that we as humans impose greater standards of accuracy on "Dude who gives his opinions on CNBC" than guy who manages the most important central bank on earth. Why was Powell not fired immediately when it was obvious inflation wasn't "transitory"?
@Anonymous-ld7je umm Powell isn't on the podcast that I'm commenting on so I don't see the connection. Feel free to list everyone else then who has been incorrect who isn't on this podcast as well.

Professor Siegel is a national treasure. We’re so lucky to have him. I would have loved to of had him as a professor in college

Professor Siegel is a national treasure
The professor is incredible!
Loved this, I never knew the professor was this fiery and I learned alot! Please have him back. The no nonsense, "adults in the room" talk is the best!!!
The master and his apprentice as guests. Jeremy Schwartz is a worthy guest on his own but he knew to sit back and let the professor cook.
TCAF knocked it out of the park with Prof Siegel! First time hearing of the beverage curve. Has nothing to do with alcohol. It really makes sense that foreign stocks can be thought of as in the value category. I got a big laugh during the "favorites" segment. Thanks Compound!
What I love about theses guys is that they share in-depth information and don’t assume their listeners are idiots .
@@joefloyd6606 Yeah, like any financial segment on network TV. Are we a nation of 5th graders? Good one Joe.
One of the best episodes. A Legend! Thank you.
One of the best episodes yet. Is it too early to ask for round 2?
Josh is really at the top of his game, and, thankfully, has not lost his wonderful sense of humor…[Jay Powell’s background]…”a dancer, I think?”
Greeeaaaattttt show. Learned so much!! Please have the professor back!
This was truly a spectacular episode. The Professor was fascinating to watch and listen to, and was quite profound. Bring him back! A big "thank you", Josh and Michael, for getting him on your show. Great stuff! Kudos to you both! (Jeremy Schwartz was a great guest, too.)

The Professor and Schwartz 2025! Has my vote.
