Great stuff👍 I have a similar setup, but instead of a microswitch, I created an adjustable controller (timer etc) using a programmable digispark clone hooked into the APP sensor. I also incorporated a disable switch for "stealth" mode 😎
My d22 Navara also has a zd30 in it but no intercooler, do you guys reckon I should chuck an intercooler in it for this or is it doable without one?, On a side note I love the sound that BOV is making on your patrol, sounds awesome
Hello Dunyip , great question 😃you don’t need an intercooler for this to work, you can use a silicone tee piece to add the bov on to the piping , and then you don’t need to do any welding, and i’m glad you liked the project and the sound
Hi, i’m trying to figure out the schematic using the electronic dump valve instead of the solenoid valve. Can you guide me on this? The yellow wire supposed to be connected to the throttle pedal (5v), i’m using throttle cable, so the yellow cable goes to the micro switch. But the vacuum valve not opening up. Any idea?
Answer Knadzmi :P So the yellow wire is a sensor wire, 0volt is needed when "accelerator pedal in its natural position " as you put your foot on the accelerator and press on it, the yellow wire is mean to be receiving a voltage change E.g "half throttle" 2.5volts " Full throttle" 5volts. if it doesn't see that the computer in side the black box will not send 12volts to the solenoid, meaning your BOV isnt going to open. So a micro switch isn't going to work, so you could get a Mitsubishi TPS , and try and connect it to the accelerator cable of you are putting it on a older diesel vehicle, if its a newer vehicle you might be in luck, there is a change your throttle is an electric accelerator pedal.. so you'll be able to tap into a 0-5volt sencor wire
any trigger will work, that’s the best thing with a solenoid, you just want the trigger to be active for 1~2 second , so I would recommend a timer, so when the throttle petal returns to 0% the solenoid is activated, but then the connection is closed by the timer, and when the throttle is repressed, it resets,
If it was my car I would be up for trying different types, but the owner “liam” loves it.. at the end of the day it’s personal preference , we be cool to stick a duck whistle on it, and record peoples reactions
Great work mate 👍
Did that explain everything? you should be able to do it to your mitsubishi now yeah ?

Thank you mate.. i’m trying to hook this to my land cruiser 3L engine.. your video is really helpfull

Love it
Goes pretty good for a Nissan 😅
not as cool as your LS build
Sounds like a subie haha
blahahahahahaha 🙈 Oh no that wasn’t the plan
Could this work by putting your micro switch or a proxy switch to your throttle cable
