😀 Picked D.I. Match up for $19 about a week ago. It has some nice D.I. presets. Easy to load your own as well. I'm lazy about string changes on my floating trem guitars, so, first string change after getting it I immediately captured that brand spanking new string D.I. for future lazy days to come. Great video by the way! Much better explanation of the plug-in than the JST vid lol. JST was fine if you're familiar with working with D.I.'s but if not it left out a lot of details. Good job on this! Thanks!
The are other plugins that already do similar things, like Blue Cat ReGuitar or Guitar Match in Bias FX 2. The nice thing about this plugin is it having so many profiles built-in and being able to easily swap to a different sound. With ReGuitar you have to select a different pickup type and then dial that in for your guitar because it doesn't have a listen feature. Also the fact that you can create a profile from any DI is wild. There are so many DI's available from great artists so with some resourcefulness you can clone their guitar tone - or at least get pretty dang close
You can clone any sound with it. I use it on almost every single part of my mix now lol. You can literally rob any sound from any album with this plugin.
I'd like to point out that this functionality can be achieved by eqplugins too. Like Melda Freeform Equalizer for 50€, the popular Pro-Q3 for 130€ Pretty sure iZotope RX can do it too. I don't have that one personally. I am only pointing this out because you might have something like this already. But you obviously don't get presets with that. So you need to get DI from the pickups you want to emulate. If you can't borrow one, take your laptop and interface to a music shop and record the guitars with the pickups you want 👍🏼
You've got very good results. I'm still searching a good way to capture my DI. My EMG 707 may be hard to sound cleaner. Chromatism make good result. Still little random for me, but, interesting. Thanks for this advice !
i bought the disruptor on launch day and this is the only feature i have not messed with. i may have to now as i have an Ibanez Artist series with a horrible pickup (emg hz) its so bad that i never play that guitar. gonna try and see if this plugin can make it playable. great video.
Very cool I saw where you used it on one of your tutorials to EQ a microphone vocal recording so how far is it from actually capturing microphone IR with very high dollar vintage and modern vocal mics example like the 87u or even drum mics example Sennheiser 421 So I did purchase di match Thinking it would be excellent for those of us that cannot afford these mics and are on a family Dollar budget😂
I was thinking this exactly. I love my high A 8 stringer, but changing strings means 2 days getting the thing back in tune (not to mention I need to order ahead of time and so on). Plus I rather play than be changing strings even on my 6 string guitars or 4 string bass. Especially that locking tremolo one .... I hate changing strings on that one, the last thing I want to do is fidgeting around with an uncooperative Floyd Rose clone.
Awesome video, it really helped me decide on buying it for yourself yesterday. I was thinking though, would you share your DI captures with us? I have a few I can share in return :)
This _could_ be pretty nice to use on vst di's going to virtual amp. If it still doesnt make them sound realistic atleast it gives another way to affect the sound. Im currently using amplesound hellrazer + shreddag3 hydra di's into neural dsps archetype gojira. It sounds good but is still missing something.
Hmmm, I don't have high hopes, but it does have bass presets in there. You would need to detune the guitar DI's in your DAW by 12semitones then run it through DI match. Dropping that many semitones will lose a lot of clarity and it probably wont have great low end, but you can try it for free and see if it works? Interesting idea tho, might have to give it a crack myself..

This demo made it way easier for me to understand what the plug in actually does than the original jst video lol thanks!
Those are some sick tones! I'm gonna pick this up on the sale this weekend I think
Hey, thank you explaining. Loved your Breaking Benjamin cover.
Every guitar chain videos are cool to watch.
thanks for the demo, I think I put fishman fluence moderns for their own sound and this tool would be handy if my strings are dull and old
Nice demo, Jess!!
Quick question.. What is the ampsim used for those pop punk songs?!?
Cheers!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

What are your thoughts? This is something I will be using a lot I feel...
I doubted it at first. Until you showed the DI MATCH ON and OFF! I'm definitely gonna get this!
i mean its just an eq match. if u have di tracks of good songs from NTM then u dont really need this
I dig it. Well done, Jess.
new sub amazing tones!!

If it's tonally bad that can be adjusted yes. But I have an HZ set as well which I don't find bad, play it often.

so...can we call it "new strings simulator"?

Does anyone know if there’s a website where I can find presets? Or does anyone here have bass presets?
thats reaaally huge!
Just a quick question - the riff in the beginning. What song was that taken from? :D
Hey man not sure if you figured it out but the riff is from the breakdown in
Spiritbox - Circle with Me
Enjoy!
@@ShatterScriptfor some reason I thought it was a Chelsea grin song

You can do that.
Honestly VST Guitars aren't there yet like VST Basses are
Get Rhino 🦏
Could I use this to make my guitar sound like a bass?

@JessWoess I was gona use a pitch shifter to tune it down
@@DurkheadIt's doable probably, will probably be better with a higher sample rate before pitching down
te amo. saludos desde argentina ❤❤
Hm, bought it but there were no presents :
whhhaaatttt! I'm not sure if its because they just updated it?!
I can send you them? if you swing me an email or something?!
Click where it says " No profile Loaded" in blue writing , they are there.
dont think it does much
First 😊🤘🏻
mmmmhhhhh .....it's not that game changer at all ....
Unistalled after 5 min ... useless plugin if u have decent pickups
Not useless at all. Depends what you’re trying to do with it. Not all pickups sound the same and that’s the point of it existing.
