Love the G Wagon!
Im not baised to any brand but Driver matters a lot.
G Wagon is for people with more money than brains. The comparison should be G550 vs Defender V8, much closer in specs and price . The Defender is a proper modern vehicle. Independent suspension, Air suspension, fridge in the center console, digital rear view mirror, passive keyless entry, far more rigid all aluminum chassis, The list goes on, Great road manners and an amazing off-roader. Unlike a glorified Jeep Wrangler is what the G Wagon really is.
We are not sure if you watched to the end, but we agree. The G550 would have been more comparable. This was Land Rover Defender's most powerful boxy SUV. The purpose of the test was to see if the AMG G63 could perform as well off road with a dedicated off-roader knowing that most of its equipment is very track performance focus. We hoped you enjoyed it as much as we had making it!
