It looks really cute and I like this tangerine orange color. The body is die-cast metal and there are non-skid rubber feet on the bottom.

I was just watching this video again and I wanted to add that when I do the dough after I get it going the right consistency I use the bowl selector to keep it in the dough hooks I love how it does the dough. It’s really light and fluffy. In case others were struggling with that. Thank you
Thank you! It’s rare to see a sunbeam review yours was excellent and very honest. I have this for years now and also a kitchenaid and this gets used more. I have never been good with making dough in a kitchenaid but in the sunbeam it comes out perfect for me every time and I don’t mind at all working the dough. Too many times the kitchenaid seems to over do the dough. Thank you for the excellent review!
Thanks for sharing 😀👍
Thank you so much for this review I love how quiet it is and I like the interaction I would feel more in charge. Something I didn’t find with a kitchenaid and also there was stuff on the bottom and you can’t get into the kitchenaid as easy. I appreciate you doing this so much. Thank you!
👍😀
This Sunbeam Mixer looks Amazing. The color is a knock out. My Mom has owned a white Sunbeam Mixer since the 1960’s. It was finally resigned after she lost the power cord. This powerful but relatively light weight mixer really brings back memories. I’ve only seen it in black or white online and in stores. But no matter what color, I’m sure that my Mom would Love it! Very helpful review. Happy holidays. And thanks for sharing❣️😋🧁🍪🥧🍞
Yes, I love the orange too! Glad you liked the video. Happy Holidays! :)
I have a kitchen aid but it’s so heavy and I can tell it’s starting to break down. I was told they don’t make them like they used to be made. This seems like a great alternative!
Thank you. Got this as a gift and couldn't use it cuz kitchen had no room...new house... unpacking and went, "oh...ya! " So now I have the room...now need the know how.
I can't believe how whisper quiet the motor is compared to older Sunbeam mix master's. My mother owned an MXF model that was made in Australia by Sunbeam and it used to make a terrible racket it used to make the TV set flicker we had to turn it off because the noise was so intense. They've come a long way when it comes to motors with the newer models.
Ummm...you just sold me a mixer. And I thank you!! The price was certainly right. I got rid of my KA because it was so HEAVY and I never used it. This was just what I was looking for. The retro look is a plus. I remember my mom's from the 60's. She was a fan of Sunbeam products, and with good reason.
👍😀
I’ve had this mixer since they first came out and it’s still working well I have made an angel food cake with the beaters and it was great. You don’t really need whisks. Plus the low setting you can add the flour using the machine instead of folding it in by hand as my old shoulders can’t do as well. One tip I have better luck with the dough hooks if I position the bowl in the middle between the large and small bowl setting. I’m not sure why. Good luck.
I got mine for $10 dollars at a thrift store. And I love it.
On one of the whisks there is a clear plastic piece at the bottom of it that's what spins the bowl
Your review is very good, thank you. I had whatever-the-version-of-this was, in the early 80s. I loved that mixer. But I found it went a bit too fast for kneading bread dough, so I bought a KitchenAid 5-quart K5 bowl-lift model (just after Hobart sold the company, but the machine was still made with their specs.) The Sunbeam went to my mother's place where we used it for many years, and it is still working well. The dough hooks that came with my Sunbeam looked more like figure 8s, and not these spiral ones. I would definitely consider buying another Sunbeam mixer. Thank you again.
Thanks for sharing 👍
Looks like a very capable mixer. I like that it's off-center, and spins on its own. Thanks!
your sunbeam at least on some heritage series, have a motor for the bowl to automatically move with the beaters, older sunbeams relied on a friction fit between the round beater and the bowl
Thanks for the review! I bought a used Heritage model. Love it. Need a book though and curious about age. Only thing wrong is beater relise won't work. Have to pull them out. Afraid I will break them. Otherwise I love.
Thanks for sharing!
What a great mixer
Excellent reviewer. Thanks
👍😀
Super well explainable 👍👍👍🏆
😁
I'm looking for sunbeam mixmaster power plus # 423A how to insert & remove beaters
Thank You!!!!
How do you get the beaters and how much are they
My mixer never turns by itself. I’ve tried everything to get it to mix but I still have to rotate the bowl manually. I had a sunbeam previously for 40 yrs and it was excellent. This one is so disappointing. Sorry sunbeam.
I just got this one from my mom. It is garbage. The beaters and hooks do not reach the sides or bottom of the mixing bowl.
Sunbeam has gone to the dogs. So has KitchenAid. Two of the best mixers money could buy, bought out by other companies and turned into trash.
My sunbeam stand mixer is not mixing good like your mixer. It mix but not all my ingredients will mix evenly so I have to use spatula and help it or else it's not mix good.
Its also my childhood mixer. I have an odd request. Could you or someone else with this mixer do a video of the mixer running at all 12 speeds? Because I like to listen to the mixer and most people doing videos of this have gone through the speeds really fast, but if its okay I just wanna hear what the mixer sounds like at all 12 speeds staying at each speed for at least 5 seconds. I don’t have a Sunbeam right now and this would be a fun way I could remember it till I get one again. Please let me know if this is too much. I am very interested in mixers right now and I’d also like this kind of video for a Kitchenaid Artisan, which is what we have now.
Why my grey one doug mix always fall
The eject button is very tough, neither the beaters nor the hooks reach the sides or bottom of the bowl, the bowl does not rotate on its own; in short, this mixer does not mix.
might aswell just mix by hand lol
My mixer is a bit different and THE WISKS OR WHATEVER FALL OUTTT
Got this exact mixer, like it but it has never turned, didn't know I had to turn it myself. 🥺🥺🤣
I bought one and it wont turn on,, the light goes on but nothing else,, beaters in the right holes,, nothing,, no motor sound .
thumbs up
Thanks
I didn't think they still made sunbeam stand mixers. I have a 1979 sunbeam that I love. I also have an Oster kitchen center that I love...almost as much. I have a kitchenaid Profesional 6 quart that I try to love but I just can't. I finally realized the difference is, I grew up with a bowl that turns! It makes it SO much easier to scrape down the bowl. The kitchen aid is just too awkward. I am to the point I only use my kitchen aid for kneading dough. I use my old sunbeam any day over my kitchenaid.
9 am
I have a old sunbeam was my mother's love it but nee beaters these are old
How do you get this new mixer
First
Save up for a Kitchenaid.
Had one. Hated it. Practically gave it away at a yard sale. Not everybody likes them or wants one.
That’s true enough. So why did you bother to watch then ?
To solidify my opinion.
I think it all depends on what you want to mix as to whether to spend the money on a higher end Kitchenaid or less on a Sunbeam. I find my Sunbeam does not over mix batters. The whole mixing action is different. I only need it for light duty things. I do not bake cookies much anymore. You just need to consider the type of work it will be doing. I like that the motor is nice and quiet. My Bosch compact is very loud.
@@candycottrell6469 I agree with you. I have had the kitchenaid over mix too. With the sunbeam I feel like I have more control over my mix. There are things in the kitchenaid that just come flying out of the bowl, even on the lowest setting, that has never happened with the sunbeam. I just personally love the sunbeam much more for what I need. Everyone is different for sure.
TOM PIPPS FOAM- BATON ROUGE LOUISIANA USA HI HELLO MY BABY &
U need to learn how to make dough,,,
I think sunbeam dough mixer is a joke or call it a useless piece of garbage. I have one . It barely does any work with the hook. I would rather use my hand and spatula to mix what hooks do. and then as usual knead with my mighty hands. I would rather go with kitchenAid or hamilton . Thanks for the upload.
Just one persons opinion
I hate this mixer so much
