    Love my Crossfire 2's. Best boots I've ever owned. Have had multiple sets of Alpinestars, Gaerne, and Berik. Even have an old set of Hondalines.

      I also have Crossfire 2s in my closet, great boot and still very popular.

    I have Sidi cross fire 2s SRS. Love the boots. I've had the older charger TAs. Both have held up well and are comfortable. The 2 require a little maintenance. They squeak a bit when the flex when walking. Never notice it on the bike. I spray the bucks with a little silicone lube as well as the hinges and it seems to go away. I have yard saled many times and had crashes and its all good. I walk just fine these days. Overall I'd recommend them.

    Jeff, was wondering if you've tried the Sidi X-3? Or just your thoughts on them. I've been using the TA and SRS models for years....a bit pricey, but they are great fitting/feeling boots, and have held up to many years of use/abuse, so I feel the price is justified. Curious though on the X-3's.

      @slaverace1  6 лет назад

      The X3 is a great boot for the price but you get what you pay for, it is not Crossfire 3 quality.

    I have these boots and they’re excellent. They run a tad bit small from my experience, just like my Sidi Mag-1’s. I wear Asterisk Ultra Cell knee braces with these and you can attach the boot to the bottom of the knee braces without having to drill a hole. I have large calves as well and by moving a few screws these boots can accommodate calves 18” or larger. Are there Enduro soles available for these yet?

  • @coltonheath7307
    @coltonheath7307 6 лет назад

    Jeff I seem to chew up the sole piece on my tech 8s so I like the 3SR design so I could replace the sole . Is that going to be a stiffer sole than the tech 8 ( harder to feel the brake)?

    Jeff how much of a safety improvement is the new hinge system over the old crossfire 2 hinge? I'm leaning toward the 2's being I have a more narrow foot. I mostly ride woods trails,rocky deserts but not a lot of track,jumping ect. Great review by the way!

    • @slaverace1
      @slaverace1  5 лет назад +1

      It helps prevent over flexing your ankle which is a significant issue when jumping but not as big of an issue for trail riders. We have plenty of SR2 and SR3s in stock.

    Jeff do you notice much difference in the feel of the SRS vs the TA's on your foot pegs? I just got my first pair of the SRS model and it feels like they have a narrower footprint on the bottom and don't feel quite as stable on the pegs compared to my old TA boots.

    • @slaverace1
      @slaverace1  6 лет назад

      The TA does have a wider platform but they don't give me a less stable feel BUT we are all different. They are both great boots and I'm sure you'll enjoy them.

    How much slimmer is the toebox in comparison to a Gaerne boot?

    • @Pickle_Surpr1se
      @Pickle_Surpr1se 6 лет назад +1

      Aaron I compared my Crossfire 3 SRS boots to the same size sg-12’s and the toe box was definitely wider on the Gaerne’s. My toes felt like they had more wiggle room. If you have wide feet you will have to take that into account, both boots are excellent.

      I agree with John John. The Gaerne is roomier in the toebox but by how much I don't know. We also sell Gaerne, they are a quality product.

    Had to go up to a 45 in the CF2 SRS to get the width I needed, at the expense of a bit more length than i need. I'm wondering if I can go back down to a 44 in the CF3 TA. What do you think? Also, I searched your site for the free exchange details, but couldn't locate. Who pays return shipping if they don't fit?

      You can probably go back to your normal size. Free one time exchange means free freight.

    Jeff, what boot would you say offers the best protection? I just recently broke my toe wearing a pair of Fox Instincts. I ride strictly off-road/enduro

      Definitely the Sidi Cross Fire 3. slavensracing.com/product-category/rider-gear/boots-rider-gear/sidi/

    I'd prefer a nice comfortable booty in a pair of jeans as well Jeff. LMAO. IMO i'd say there is nothing out there as amazing as the SIDI X3 SRS boots.

    waterproof?

    • @slaverace1
      @slaverace1  6 лет назад

      No. The only water proof boots are the Sidi Adventure Gore-tex slavensracing.com/shop/adventure-gore-tex-boots-sidi/ and they are not beefy enough for hard core off-road use.

      You can buy a gore-tex boot liner that is like a sock.... Next time I go to Colorado I will be rocking those. I went and had a splash down in first ride out. It was like 20 degrees. We got rained last trip 4 out of 5 days. first day was nice. Rained every other day. I brought a single pair of boots. Cold and wet feet for a week. In Late. Sept. Still had a blast, but gore Tex boot liners would be the bomb.

      Good idea! I found this sock test >>> www.gearweare.com/review/best-gore-tex-socks/

    All I took from this is that you don’t like Asians, don’t like Alpinestars and don’t like young people.
    Only one of Alpinestars’ boots have a booty by the way, and they are not bulky (I have Crossfires myself, so I’m not being biased)
    FYI, you basically said the same as the “slick willies” but with a lot more “uuummms” and “errrms”... maybe you SHOULD read from a script.

      No idea what your beef is with KTM but they are still the highest quality dirt bikes available.
