Oh my gosh - finally found a video that is so helpful!! I am not a true “sound guy/tech” so it has been difficult finding videos that actually “show” how to EQ. Most of the videos talk about theory or throw out arbitrary numbers that I do not quite understand. I am very much a visible learner so seeing the frequency wavelengths and patterns are more helpful to me than the numbers. I’m still learning, but I appreciate this video!!
I have tried it and most of the time the band says it sounds weird or not right. If I want to try something new I usually find someone who's a good sport and tell them I want to test something. If it work for them and it's easily repeatable I'll try and roll it out to the rest of the band.

That was helpful. Do you think it's a good idea to send some reverb to the in ears as well?
