At 30:11 was the rapids ride. I don't live in Iowa but how I found that out was I'm following Theme Park Worldwide on youtube and the bloggers are Shawn and Charlotte and they said that a tragic accident happened on the rapids and they had to close it for good. A little boy was with his family and they were on the raft and the raft flipped over and rhe little boy drowned and died and the other people on the raft survived so that is why the ride was closed for good.
As a Iowa resident who has been going my whole life, it has went down hill ever since they got rid of the log ride and put the monster in, and since they got rid of ski lift which was in that little shack. It's great for roller coaster lovers and tiny kids, but not a lot of in between. It used to have amazing mint fudge at the front of the park. They do amazing first aid team.
Changes are inevitable at amusement parks, unfortunately not everyone likes some changes. Hopefully in the future they will add more rides that will be a good mix
Yes, I can't stand the move towards big roller coasters at the expense of a more balanced park. My home park Great America had like 2 or 3 coasters when it opened in 1976. They should just have a park with nothing but roller coasters and let other parks have a better variety of rides. Now it's either roller coasters or Disney/Universal.
The sky safari ride at the Omaha Zoo came from Adventureland in Des Moines. Also, the Cyclone coaster at Fun Plex in Omaha came from Adventureland as well. Thought you might like to know!
Thank You, I found that out from other viewers. I'm curious if they will demolish the existing raging river attraction and build a new updated water rapids. I appreciate the information
@@TomsRoadTrippin I think they might add a new water attraction but I personally would love a good roller coaster, I’m from Iowa so I can update you if they do anything with it unless you’ll stay updated with Adventureland
Adventureland is also my local theme park, but the worst part is😮 They got rid of the galleon😭😭😭😭😭 and then they just left with this very very weird room stand I don’t know actually went to Adventureland yesterday and the day after that and two days after that and two days after it oopsie but didn’t you like the Galion? It’s gone now. BECAUSE OF THE NEW DUMB OWNERS 😭😭😭 but my favorite ride is probably the dragonslayer. I just love the spinning feeling, what’s your favorite?!! They changed 1 million things but at least the sidewinders open now I have a feeling to Adventureland since I was 1yrs luckily, I only live five minutes away which I’m super happy about so I can go to Adventureland every day
Cool vlog
Thank You 😊
Adventureland is my local park and has made many improvements over the last decade or so. Very happy you enjoyed your visit!!
I had a wonderful time, they have certainly kept up with updating the park with new rides.
Have you ever been to the Blank Park Zoo before

The Monster looks AWESOME!
They have very good coasters there, the Monster was really fun

The ride at 25:22 is pretty similar to the ride we have in uss Singapore, it's a bit scary but still fun actually ~

Thanks for sharing that info, it's always good to hear a ride survived to be enjoyed at new places.
That bridge went to a raging river but a kid died on the ride so they had to close it, but they still have a whole water park.

I really love the coaster's Outlaw was probably my favorite. I'm curious what they'll do with the closed water rapids area.

@@TreySarver-p5x yep I have many times
The bridge there was a ride called the raging river on the other side but a kid died so they closed it for legal reasons
Thanks for the heads info, have you heard anything about what might replace it?
The raging river
It looks like Disney because the original owners higher Disney to design it
Yeah the entrance area resembles Main Street USA
