It looked like you all had a blast. That wooden coaster would have been me and my youngest daughters favorite. We both love any kind of coaster. We use to have a Silver $ City here in Pigeon Forge which is right out of Knoxville TN. My aunt use to get free tickets every year so we would go. It clised down when i was about 15 then Dollywood is in its place. They still have places to sit down if you can get one and there is shady places. But it is really crowded and to hot in the summer especially July and August. Im so glad you filmed this it brought back good memories. You will have to ride that big tire thing but you do get soaked. Thank you so much. I always hit the like button.

It was a lot of fun! The last wooden roller coaster we went on was Ghost Rider in Knott's Berry Farm and it was a crazy rough ride!! I have heard that Dollywood is very similar to Silver Dollar City but have never been there. I'm glad this video brought back good memories for you. Thanks for watching Robin!

I'm glad you enjoyed the video. We stayed at Still Water Resort. It's only about 3 minutes away from Silver Dollar City and they have a free shuttle. It's a great place to stay. Thanks so much for watching!

When I was a kid, SDC was free to enter... you bought tickets for rides...when Fire in the Hole went in... it was TWO punches on the ticket card. Also spent a lot of time with Mr. Shad... the blacksmith's shop was never the same without him. It makes me sad now to see what it and Branson have become... total destruction for the almighty dollar. I am glad I got to enjoy it when it was still beautiful.

One thing we can always count on is change. Sometimes it's for the better and sometimes, not so much. I still enjoyed Silver Dollar City a lot though. Thanks for watching.

S.D.C is not in Branson. It's not even in the same county as Branson.

@@lovinlifesjourney4291 It's just a zip code thing. It's like I live just outside of Kimberling City. I am literally about 100 feet from the Kimberling City city limit yet my mail comes from Reeds Spring P.O.

@@lovinlifesjourney4291 I'm not real sure how all that works, it just has something to do with the zip codes. I know there is a small community just South of Branson inside Arkansas, Lead Hill, Omaha, AR. something like that. Their mail actually comes out of Branson due to the fact the closest P.O. in Arkansas is Harrison and Branson is just a few miles away from them.
