We drop the pots where we most likely think the Lobsters will be, depending on what time of year it is.

Yes, that's the long term plan.
But unfortunately at the moment, I need to concentrate on fishing, and getting some money in the boats account.....after 2.5 years of building, it's in a poor state.🤣🤣🤣
But rest assured, we will be finishing the Barry B off....AND.... doing other builds or refurbishments, down the line.😁👌

Barry silly question ,how do you know the traps end up the correct way up on the sea bed ?

There is no such thing, as a silly question.
The basics are, they are bottom heavy, and we basically hope gravity will do the right thing, when the pots on the way to the sea bed.😁👌

What price are the merchants paying for lobsters at the moment ? and when do your lobsters start marching "as we call it" on the east coast? they always seem to come on the march here the last week in June every year.

As always, the merchant never pays the hard working man enough. 🤣🤣🤣 but we are at £14 per kg at the moment, soon to go down, as summer approaches. ☹👎
Usually the lobbies start, 2nd week in August for us...but I've not done this job for a good few years, so things might have changed...I guess time will tell.😁👌

@@onemanandhisboat Its getting harder and harder to make a living from the lobsters "fuel,bait, rope and creels ect" its about time the price of lobsters went up every other food product is, well rant over stay safe and good fishing.
🤣🤣🤣 I think every fisherman up and down the country is feeling the same bud, so your definitely not ranting, your just saying your peace. 😁👌

How long were you out for?
With the little gear I have, it only takes between 4 or 5 hrs, depending on the weather conditions. 😁👌
