King of America is such a rich sounding album to me. It was a welcome addition when it came out at the same time as Blood and Chocolate, which satisfied my needs for his more traditional rocker output.

Seen the great Beth Neilsen Chapman supported by a great local artist Ruth Trimble. Last week went to a production of Les Miserables which I enjoyed to my suprise, as it not normally my scene. It was brilliantly produced and delivered by a very professional cast. Last night went to a local venue in my home town of Londonderry to see 10cc. They were magnificent. Good video on the new humminguru Nova ultrasonic cleaner machine I'm going to buy one once they go on sale and I had my humminguru for one year and I love it so far I clean over 500 records and never had any problems at all so this was my best money spent and it worth and look to see your video on the new humminguru nova.
No one was expecting an acoustic-y Elvis Costello, so King of America was kind of a revelation at the time. Indoor Fireworks, The Big Light, Eisenhower Blues, so many great songs. Glad to hear it’s getting a reissue, though originals are not that expensive or hard to find. Looking forward to the review of the new Humminguru.
The Bluesville albums of Reverend Davis and Jimmy Reed sound cool. I might be interested in Elvis Costello King of America too. I don’t know I wish I knew what the rules were.
@@fredericmorris2931 yes it does. It has improved dryer. But I personally leave the records out for a few minutes to further air dry if needed. I ideally lean them against something. Now you can add them to the lid.

Mazzy: Highly disappointed the Dylan Set has been delayed. You confirmed what I thought that Sony underestimated the demand as I ordered mine 3 months ago. I have also been noticing that many new releases go into backorder the day after the release date, wonder what's going on with that? Cheers!

I was just playing the John Lee Hooker album, I have a flame colored vinyl I bought, I think I bought it last year. It’s the 60th anniversary edition from Barnes & Noble. It sounds very good. Look forward to the Costello album extras.

I ordered the Dylan box from Japan. It shipped last Sunday from Tokyo & It arrived to me in the US on Tuesday! I love the 74 tour & could not wait until SONY got their act together. It cost me a few more dollars, but well worth it!
What is funny to me is the phone I am writing this message has more technology than sent astronauts to the moon a true modern marvalllel and it cost me 600 bucks. Now, a piece of cheap plastic with some transducers built into it is 900 bucks😂 this hobby has to get some damn perspective...lol. what a joke. They act like 300 dollars is like 30 bucks. Lol. Just me ranting.
How many multi millions of phones are being sold compared to a few thousand machines costing $450 or $750 ? And your phone is partially subsidized by the carriers. Ranting is good though. ✌🏼
@mazzysmusic Still doesn't justify the price. That is their business model. Sell cheap and mark up to the group willing to pay for tub with a transducer in it, lol. At the end of the day, have fun. It just seems like a rip-off for the quality. ✌️

King of America is one of my favorite Costello albums. Amazing piece of work. Apparently, a lot of scotch was consumed during its recording.
